Allies will happily flock from all over the map. Totally worth getting Bavaria or Bohemia. Also, if you have kids get them betrothed and get those alliances locked in early! You had the potential for a lot more alliances out the gate I think.
You actually have to embrace the English culture which was in the major decisions instead of converting to the local culture. Surely you are recording more in advance so we will see how long it takes for you to realize!

Use rally points to avoid raising armies on the wrong landmass and then paying to ship them across the water. Rally points can be found at the bottom of war screen and can be set anywhere in your kingdom. Might solve some of your logistic issues...
Could anyone help me understand why it keeps crashing on me when I try to play the game??? Or am I not the only one??? I been told I have a pretty beefy PC and it ran fine the first time I played it, but now I do not get too far into the game before it kicks me out
