It's such a shame Russia and Germany (as a whole, free nation) never were on the same side, we'd probably conquered the world by now ;) . I truly do thing it is a shame since as a German who loves Russia, I can assure you all Germans and Russians have so much in common and are, culturally, really compatible. But maybe exactly there lies the problem, maybe the world isn't big enough for both Germany and Russia to flourish.
@@Comintern1919, the world is big enough for everyone to flourish. But Russia was in no condition to conquer anything at that time. It was a feudal giant in a world of industrial empires. @@Comintern1919 Germany and Russia were on the same side when they partitioned Poland repeatedly tho till the WWI and then I'm sure you heard about Ribbentrop-Mołotow pact. And when they decided to go to war with each other, Polish people from the East (Russia) and West (Germany) would have been forced to kill each other under their occupiers armies. So one thing Germany and Russia did together long time ago was taking the Polish land and lives away. It was always not enough of "Lebensraum" for them I guess.

Which is actually what most of the Russian liberals wanted, most tsars were just dead set against it. Tsar Alexander II was actually even working towards slowly implementing more consultative bodies for politics before he was assassinated in 1881 by the socialists. His son, Alexander III then immediately backtracked on this and began an absolutely brutal crackdown on political opposition. Then Tsar Nicolas II then refused to budge on anything until the mass protests of the 1905 revolution forced him to create the elected Duma. Nicolas II then spent the next 12 years of his reign completely undermining the institution that he was forced to create. He would change the rules illegally and illegally changed the voting system multiple times until the representatives were his yes men. 19th and early 20th century Russian history is such a mess of back and forth pushbacks between the far left and far right in Russia. This left the Liberals out in the cold as they were actually trying to get things done.

20 width with 2 artillery and infrantry is still the strongest template there is. Artillery is still probably the strongest to use, even though soft attack has been nerfed. Feedbackgaming aka Dave always B-lines artilery research.
Just in regards to give factorys only producing 1.75 guns per day: what that essentially means is 4 factorys produce 1 gun a week, and one produces 2 guns every week. How is that possible? Well, assuming a single gun includes ammunition and cleaning supplies, what we have is: raw resources being delivered. Those raw resources, mostly steel and wood, must then be process. The wood requires cutting into sections, then cutting into the rough shape, then carved into the correct pieces, and polished. The steel must be forged, rolled, or cast into the rough shapes required. It must be machined, probably through milling, into the correct shapes and sizes. All the various rivets and springs must be made as well. You can then send all those parts to a table where someone has to carefully assemble all of them, putting each rivet into the correct hole and hammering it flat, making sure all the necessary fittings are airtight and properly aligned. And then the ammo has to be made. Assuming they use clips, they will have to formed a number of clips to put all the bullet's into. All of the gunpowder must be made. The bullet's are all cast from lead. The casings are then formed, including the ignition pin, filled with gunpowder, the bullet is then pressed into the casing which is cinched around it. A single gun in an awful lot of work. Considering these are probably peasants, most of whom still need to be taught how to mill the various parts and make gunpowder, 1 gun a week isn't terrible.
i believe that in the great war mod there is a path as russia where you can go communist but keep the tsar.you should do that I think that it looks fun.
Personally, I don't think the Great War mod is properly playable, and its too bare bones for Pravus to play. Half of the stuff in the mission trees only activate based on timers, and most of them are 5 or 10 years into the future, and it just takes way too long. And also the mission trees are so unrealistic. For example I was playing Germany the other day and went down the military junta route, expecting a fun civil war to play. Instead I got an instant coup with Ludendorff as the new head of state, and everyone magically supports me with no instability even though there was just a massive change in power. Not even an event to explain what just happened. I was thoroughly dissapointed with it. Kaiserreich is a much better mod and its much more fun and fleshed out.
