On the Ritual Candle, it basically massively boosts the chance a rogue fusion will have a bootleg in it and the specific type of the bootleg by sacrificing (recycling) a tape of that type. So say you want an Astral Traffikrab for the hidden Magikrab, you'd find a fusion with one in it, escape without fighting it, save with autosaves turned off so you can retry if necessary, burn the candle and recycle an Astral type monster tape, then re-encounter the fusion. No bootleg or wrong monster is the bootleg, quit out and retry. Much more convenient then hatching thousands of eggs with pure RNG involved.
Egg breeding isn't a super popular method of shiny hunting, typically people use outbreaks or something of the like, there's way better methods then egg breeding, people only use that for starters that can't be encountered naturally
Thanks for these guides Ed. Ive been playing it on my 7+ year old laptop and whikst it struggles sometimes its been so fun to play. I love how fresh the battles feel and little touches like this shop and the upgrades are very welcome. Its more to do and more reason to hunt rogue fusions than just for thr saje of it which is how Pokemon can feel at times. Plus this shop is more or less available straight away so its actually useful!
FWIW you also need to defeat 6 captains to use the Gym Pass. I personally didn't find the enhanced overworld abilities to be very useful since they don't work in rogue fusion/archangel/captain battles (or ranger battles iirc). Sticker stock is the way to go early on IMO.
@@dwightdeisenhower53 I know Avalanche can trivialize much of the game. It makes all melee attacks become invalid. Theres a challenge video on youtube where they play with only bootlegs and shows just how broken Avalanche is, even against Archangels. Combine it with Hot Potato that plants a bomb that needs to be transfered with a melee attack and you have a very potent combo.
I should have went sticker stock I feel like, I spent a ton of points on the gym, and I swap teams between melee or ranged and pump it to 200. I never found any need to increase my microphone. Was always able to catch anyrhing I wanted prettt easily. Except for one arveroir or some flying wind bird I found in a cave , it kept giving me 5% chance and I eventually ran out of tapes.
Cassette beasts post game fusion materials farm (my method): I'm almost ranger 5 to quickly farm fusion materials I defeat the same archangel several times, I use a build that allows me to beat any enemy turn 0 even if they are higher level: i use khepri with head shot and random starter X7 and my character with max R. Atk
BTW have u found a level cap for the arch angels yet? I think the one I was farming off of was level 180 or something. I'm actually working on a khepri set up guide, there's a way to get 2 so it gets crazy. You just have to be careful of air types if you're using it for other stuff since air walls lol
@@GymLeaderEd I still don't know how many levels the archangels can get but despite the level with just 3 khepri it is possible to put 1 back on the field turn 1, I use a bootleg metal khepri with gear shear + a normal fire khepri with headshot, I know that fire against the wind creates the wind wall I'm very careful not to activate it I m still searching for other khepri with different type
@@GymLeaderEd 200 is the level cap for everyone. (At least on the default difficulty/scaling, don't know if that changes anything.) Found out when doing the aforementioned Archangel grind, and after reaching 200, I noticed it stopped going up. Confirmed this when I couldn't use Oliveups on myself after reaching level 200.
You ever think about doing a mod video for the game? Quick a few mods out for the game already as more and more learn the Godot engine. The game has really nice and easy mod support.
Coming soon, nobody knows the exact date including Gym Leader Ed. He doesn't have the inside information on that timing at this time, but bet there will immediately be a video stating the release date once it's announced. Also comments will go off when the date is stated. My guess is android shenanigans (the one thing I dislike about android is the Google play store isn't the fastest in accepting updates).

I second that. Although I should've held from using some of the disgustingly OP ones I bought, the game didn't have the tools to fight back, lol.
what are those abilities
