One thing I didn't see mentioned is that the elemental walls sort of give you a secondary typing. For example, if you set up a metal wall and that wall gets hit by a poison attack, you will receive a buff without actually taking damage nor being a metal typing yourself. Might be some cool tricks you can do from this.
@@MetalHev Where? I rewatched that section and he vaguely mentions that typing changing the way it interacts with moves like advantageous moves will completely destroy the wall. That doesn't make it sound like to newer players that they can also recieve buffs from.
Regarding #10, I like to think of Cassette Beasts as Pokemon meets Zelda. Pretty much anything that makes this game "not Pokemon" outside of some battle mechanics can be attributed to Zelda. It's blatantly obvious that Lenna's Inception is heavily inspired from Link's Awakening, so I'm imagining the Bytten Studio devs were just very glued to their Gameboy Classic as kids.
For those looking for good combat strategies, I recommend status stacking the gradual damage conditions. Stacking burn, poison, and leech on bulky monsters is a good way to stall yourself to victory. This was particularly helpful for the Archangel bosses who often could attack twice per turn, triggering the damage twice. And because the damage is percent based it allowed me to take down high defense monsters with ease. Dandylion -> Blossomaw was my MVP since it learns Leech and can be taught Poison Pollen and Scorch, it is naturally bulky stat-wise, and honestly I just like its name and design (Weed Lion Dragon ftw!)
A trick I found which I doubt is intentional is that you can stand on a magnetic block and use your magnetism ability to essentially fly. It is very hard to control but very fun.
I pretty much did this to see if I could fight the secret boss without playing much of the game. You cannot, but hey, it was easy access to the monsters up there.

I was confused on how the Types would interact with each other and wasn't sure which color would say what's effective or not very effective, but since you said it just gives buffs/debuffs it makes a bit more sense for me now xD
Another thing with rogue fusions is that they have higher chance of having bootlegs. And im pretty sure they are the only way of getting glitter types Cassette beasts kinda reminds me of persona with how the stickers work and i love it
Note that elemental walls can't protect you from status moves, and super effective attacks will break them in a single hit. By the way, I found that multitarget works really well with walls because you can give your entire team a barricade. Food for thought.

Hi there's a bug I encountered where if I unlock a new partner and obtain their tape, the tape that was replaced with the partner's main monster is permanently deleted. I just lost my candevil remaster because of this do you think you know what happened?
I know its been a while, but playing on the switch and the boxes and barrels clitch is still there, and let me tell you, in swtich it is a bit more like a full mega jump too. Like i have accidentally skyrocketed into the sky a few times thanks to it 😂 Fun clitches aside, the game is rsther nice really so far. Personally i ambtrying to make a healers built and a dodge/ counter built.
I also need to know this but also does the monsters that aren’t battling gain less or the same exp for not being in battle? Cause I notice that monsters have different growth for obtaining stars meaning some gain exp for stars faster/slower than others thanks guys!
The game is amazing, but the one thing I dislike is how you can trivialize every fight later on, even the archangel fights, just by using the right stickers. Even ignoring the glass resonance debuff that instakills anything, stickers like custom starter/random starter are way too powerful. You can do something like slotting one headshot sticker and seven random starters and boom, you'll instakill almost anything at the start of battle. Imo a lot of stickers deserve nerfs, maybe limiting the number of random/custom starters you can have on a tape and on your team as a whole would allow for more strategic decisions in teambuilding. Another complaint I got about the sticker system is that they make different monsters seem almost the same since you can just equip the same stickers to most of them. I feel that stickers should be more restricted, with less monsters being able to use the same sticker. Also it would be nice if more monsters had their own unique stickers that you can only get via levelling that monster, something like chemical imbalance and sugar rush comes to mind. Sticker availability maybe could be limited as well, the shops just make it way too easy to get the ones you want, more stickers should be available exclusively through leveling, and maybe some through one-time only chests.
This ain't just any pokemon clone, It's the best damn pokemon clone there is, and it's even different enough where calling them a pokemon clone is questionable at best.
I kinda want to play this game cause it looks really good and I love the art style, but at the same time I think it's a bit too complicated for my simple mind which is more used to the braindead play style of pokemon lol. When I play through those games, I don't even have to think about what I am doing or the effect that the moves I use will have. 💀
This game kinda feels like a fusion of Pokemon, Persona and Legend of Zelda in all the best possible ways. Easily one of my new favorite games. Also there's one particular archangel that's a reference to one of my favorite stories ever and the puzzle is executed perfectly. If you know, you know. (Keep spoilers away from people)

This is such a fun experience. The mechanics are obviously very pokemon inspired, but I love the team based Digimon style finale. Super fun!

Holding an object allows you to double jump on any ledge that is one block higher then you, its not only specific surfaces

Type matchups do change dmg values although not nearly as much as in Pokemon

Luckily, this game has no PvP feature because the meta would just be extremely broken.
What determines who goes first in combat? Sometimes I attack first and sometimes the enemy attack first.
