They tried to ride with two people in this micro jet boat. 😆 With one person it's going to be awesome if that motor has the power. link to video guys. th-cam.com/video/ixFcQyKjJ-4/w-d-xo.html
You should really have a little air bag under your seat.. Because these things will beat your spin up. I guess you can at least throw a simple doughnut in your seat. On a jet ski, your legs act as the shock absorbers. In these boats, it's a very painful ride on rough waters.
I get sponsorship and love the work you do on these projects but don't BS people about the product, without knowing the exact make and model of the bikes even the cheapest bike at the size of the two larger ones have batteries at least double that of the Jackery 1500 and a quality units about 4x the size mean a full charge might give you 30 minutes ride time per 5 hours at best charge time on the Jackery
@@shaynegadsden What's your point? He never said that the pack fully charges bikes-- He said "I charged my bike on the way here" -- meaning that it was charging during the short trip over/ also demonstrating that it's portable and has some utility, even without the panels. I don't think he said anything misleading--- he obviously hooked it all up to the panels directly after, showing that it still needed to finish charging; again, which makes it obvious that the pack didn't fully charge the bike during the ride over... Besides, people know how to read the numbers-- they know how big their batteries are, and they will be looking at the size of the pack when they buy it.
@@calholli I think you would be surprised many people will just something on the fact they seen it done not actually understand how it works and the panels were on the tiny green bike the new one they pointed could pull over 1kw so the panels might extend the charging 10 minutes before running into issues also he didn't say "I charged my bike on the way here" he said "bikes" while gesturing to all of them again some it couldn't do
Once you guys get the jet boat completed, it would be awesome to see you guys meet up with Cleetus and the Boosted Bois for a day on the Florida rivers!
That liittle thing's gonna be able to do 360's off of 5mph pontoon boat wakes. How do I know? I live in South-East Michigan. 😀 ...Ok, 5mph pontoon boats, might be a TINY, exaggeration. 😄
It is to small to have the buoyancy for an adult captain and that engine in it etc, IMHO, add a remote control system to it and make the worlds fasted RC jet boat. I've seen a similar build on another channel and it barely stayed a float with an engine half the size with a full sized adult piloting it. I may be wrong it may float just fine with you in it but add remote controls to it anyway, go with a servo steering system and servo throttle and controls so you don't have to add steering or throttle control weight, not to mention the ability to sit back in it and steer it from a more comfortable position, unload it remotely and bring it to the docks remotely.
Just love the "BeeUte"too.Nice new doo btw.The 'intake'channel looks perfect for setting the engine back. The first 1/3 is just the start of it's pull anyway. With your skills you'll have a perfect tunnel built for the drive in no time. The tank may make a good seat...
You're making a lot more work for yourself by making the pump shoe. Look into a tiger shark daytona pump as it will bolt into the hull and be ready to go, and water tight. The design if the shoe has to be correct or it wont be able to pull enough water through and the impeller will cavitate
That sounds like good advice. We know how critical this stuff is from some Finnigan's videos where tiny adjustments made significant changes to his scary as heck Game Over jet boat. He had that up to 130mph after the fine tuning. Making what looked like small changes to the flow of the intake not only made it go faster, but also improved the boat's handling and cured the scary hopping it had been doing. th-cam.com/video/elrXCKV3U9Q/w-d-xo.html
For the BMW, you could add a few rear facing cameras. My dad has neck problems and can't look over his shoulders. He added a rear view camera near the license plate, and a camera on both side mirrors and set them to monitor his blind spots. He can use the side view mirrors in conjunction with the three small screens in a custom enclosure on the dash right over the instrument cluster to help him see behind him.
I love when Ed comes back to the Piston Farm Edwin - how about Evel Knievel’in over things in the Fe2O3 Farm on E-Bike, in gesture to a GHPC milestone? it would be cool to see how many rusty projects (future & ole) you could safely clear. ‘The Girl’ may request The Suit at home, in a perfect N. Idaho world. springtime for GHPC has arrived.
A solution to the engine space issue might be to flip the engine 180* and use a V drive transmission with an overdrive ratio. Another option is make a custom surface drive or out drive. Surface drive would mount further back on the transom. An outdrive would also mount to the transom and eliminates the need for a gear box. Or see what one of these jet stream boats will do with a reenforced transom and/or a miniature Armstrong bracket and a couple of small 2 stroke outboards.
Hey, I saw a couple of boats like this fly past Fish Hatchery Park on the Applegate River here in Southern Oregon and thought Wow, Neato!! Fun to see one created. 😁
Before you add the triangles from the hull to the ride plate maybe check with jet stream I only did skis for a little while but extended ride plates always make things more crispy so you probably want that overhang 🤘🤘
Everytime I watch your show.(watch it on tv accept to comment will pop on the phone) Can not help but think, if there was. "Grind Hard Coffee"... May actually start drinking coffee. 😁
V-drive. You can then flip the engine backwards on top of the impellor casing. This should help push the inlet down in the water without being too top heavy. With that, space the whole attachment surface down 1/8" from the front of the inlet, and 1/2 to 5/8 @ the transom. It should have a slight downward angle to keep the nose down. To get a balanced, roomy two-seater out of that hull, hook a variator in that engine, drive the V-drive from that, and V-drive the impellor. The engine can then be balanced for one side seat for straight solo ride.
So I’m planning on building a racing mower. I got plenty of mowers to choose parts from. And maybe boat engine swap. Depends on what I find at the swap meet this weekend
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo you guys should do a collab with Cleetus McFarland. He can help you work out kinks with the leaks. But to up your views, likes, and publicity but most important becomes friends and make Some GREAT and probably the best content EVER. Great content already but combined with Cleetus and a RACETRACK…it would be amazing.
I wanna go play there¡! The electric bikes and the Razors are exactly what I like doing and some of the other stuff looks like it would be a blast.... 😁
Do a vid with CLEETUS McFarland when its finished, he'd love the jet boat and you'll get the exposure you deserve! keep up the amazing inventions and love the vibes!
I love your channel guys i have always wanted to make stuff like thid but have never had the equipment to make stuff or even the space to do it at. I loev the stuff you make its really cool especially the jet boat your making in the video its amazing what a little hard work and time can do
bit of a tip when working under a vehicle outside, get a big cardboard box (like from a fridge, etc) and put it on the ground (like flattened), it will be easy to slide around on and it's clean and dry and warm (er than the ground) and it will soak up spillages and can be reused and disposed of easy (burnt maybe)
IDk much about boats, fabrication, and all that jazz, but do I have a too crazy of an imagination to have two jet ski motors mounted into that tiny boat
Honestly, on this one, i would've cut more than the hole required, built up the stuff on the actual motor/pump/nozzle assembled, then offered it up to the boat and welded that in place in the larger hole. Sometimes, just take the easy way out.
Love is a very powerful word, so, I’m just going to say I like, no, really really like the Colonel and really really like seeing it sent preferably not bent, so please please keep hitting that lit little wedge. Preferably in 2WD😂
Another thing about 6" from the bow I would Weld in another piece of aluminum water tight and that could be a crash bulkhead if you put a hatch in a very tip you can use that as a anchor locker or just a storage locker and that way you can get yourself a boat certificate and registration to take it out on the water and you'll have 3 water tight compartments in the boat
Crabs the grinder "seems to fit real well!.. only thing is to do it so dimensions dont chance from stock, since this is two stroke and exhaust is extremely important to get right.
Seen some other tiny jet boats made and they always run nose heavy. Like “identify as a submarine” jet boat. Keep as much weight to the back, battery, tank, all the weights in the back. Awesome work fellas.
i use an old semi truck mudflap for an off road creeper. it's nearly indestructible, fits behind the seat of my truck, keeps me out of the mud/snow/evil goo, and since i found it in a ditch after it fell off of a moving truck, it was free. win/win/win/win!

Before you do that transom seal, lookup the seadoo one! It's easier to retrofit, greaseable, and way smaller!
Looking amazing so far :)

You could build some knee pads in the boat like some kajaks have. This will help a lot with stability one this awesome thing is on the water.
Do a Blake wilkey style off-road mini trailer with long travel king shocks!!! Tow behind any power wheels
