just did the same thing. watched this video and then looked for the actual video of it driving. guess he never got it running? why build such an awesome machine and never show it running or ripping?
In one of the most recent videos, I think the finished monster chopper video or the one before it it's seen in the shed with no engine. There is a comment about how they need a new motor for it.
Badass guys!! Still waiting on that full send video now that its really finished and has the welded rear differential and a fresh rebuild on the engine. Can't wait to see more of this.
As an automotive painter for over 20 years I can attest to how good Duplicolor self etching primer is. I have used it extensively and have nothing but success with it. I have nothing to gain by making this claim other than helping people out. Edit: I don’t mean that it is the best product for every situation. But for a rattle can primer, it’s the best I’ve found. It dries fast and is very sandable.
@@lifebehindtheselens - I can also attest to Duplicolor’s amazing one-step self-etching primer that’s available in any possible color and finish & conveniently found at all respected suppliers of your painting needs, though I’m no professional painter. Absolutely love the build but I would recommend looking for a custom triple tree online, they make them for dirt bike to atc conversion kits and essentially just spreads out the front forks to fit a wider front wheel and it'll make a nice difference in safety and high speed stability, will also allow you to float over bog and sand easier without trenching and will make it better in snow... not to mention overall look imo... Anyways I love the build just thought I'd offer my suggestion:)
Some of the ridiculous stuff you guys do just breaks my brain. Using the frame to route coolant surprised the hell out of me. I've seen a lot of your builds and some of your solutions make me wonder why you haven't been approached to open a custom bike and rod shop! Keep innovating guys, you're killing it!
I know you were concerned about a cable snapping and you losing steering, but have you ever thought of replacing the cables with either threaded rod, or just 1/4 inch solid rod with threads cut into the ends to accept the heim joints?
Fantastic build guys...thanks very much for great education and entertainment...love the design overall but not a huge fan of cable steering for this application...just makes me uneasy...stay safe please.
I am loving this American boy boasting good foreign parts. Making such an incredible American built frame, to lovingly hold all those foreign components. This is what the world needs. Love for and from everyone. How is this 1 TH-cam channel showing what America is supposed to be about so well with just an EPIC DRIFT TRIKE?!
This is a great video as like all your videos. My Uncle and I would do the same thing to vehicle, buggies and bikes, my Aunt would holler at him saying , your gonna hurt our nephew. Gents, you have absolutely brought back some excellent fond memories for me and the early 70's. Yes, I am old. But you never out live your dreams, passions and your attitude of "I can do that". I have a Son now (Adult) he is a Mech Engineer and we love tearing into things together. It's good to see younger generations doing this. Thank you very much for sharing. Stay safe and keep building.
It would be super dope if you got street tires for the rotary trike and lights so it could be street legal to drive to bike shows and on long rides like the tail of the dragon...
i would recommend putting blast plates around the transmission, the stock FD transmissions are kinda weak and the outer casings can shatter. I cant imagine it should be much of an issue with that, but being a drift trike the transmission will get alot of abuse,, as for the steering, superfastmatts straight line racing trike has a VERY similar steering system except it uses 2 sets of hardlinks and heim joints, if you are worried about safety (lmao) those are what i would look into. Love your channel, looking forward to more awesome videos :)
Well... That is one of the most beautiful suicide machines i've ever looked at. Always wanted to put a 600cc on a go kart, but a 250hp 9k rpm engine on a minibike is fucking out there. Might want a roll bar just in case.
Tip for the next time, the right order is two wheels in the front, one in the rear. That way you have much much much more control over the trike, much less chance of flipping over, which will cause bodily harm. One wheel in the back is also easier to drift with and it provides a easier geometry to work out. I speak from experience.
It's literally a different vehicle when you do that. Anyone that is driven both types of bikes or trikes, that's the whole reason why you want to ride it. When you put two wheels in the front, it turns into a car feeling
They built a reverse trike a couple years ago. Youre probably right I don't doubt it, but I think they were going for two rear wheels this time to switch it up
For the plasma cutter. If you bring the water level up to about 1/4 inch from the material, you'll have less Slag and cleanup on the back of the cut. It might not matter much on such a small scale. I'm used to cutting out 30-40 individual parts from an 8x4 sheet at work.
I’ve been using that metal spec paint forever the more layers of it the sicker it gets, I’ll also do like 4-5 coats of clear on my valve covers, looks like the depth of a candy apple

I pulled the front axles off and hub splines off the shafts, bolted them back up to keep the hubs together. This was just an experiment but, 360 whp rear wheel drive b5 a4. It worked and that stock rear diff was a CHAMPION!!!
Looks like you've harnessed a chariot onto a wasp. Pretty cool, although i'd prefer steering rods instead of cables and attach them to slightly wider arms to make steering easier and stress the components less, especially when the front wheel deflects off things etc.
What do you expect, fully custom fairings and a shell for the back half of it? When you build something, believe it or not, you’re actually allowed to build it how you want, now I know that may seem surprising, but it’s true!
This is the one that you need to sell commercially. I realize there are obstacles to that. Your frame, and a parts list that everybody could run an open rear and a list of parts and your basic kit, what a money maker
It's a wicked trike, however, personally, for peace of mind, I would have made a plate to go under the top yoke, and then used rods for steering rather than cable, this would have ensured a safer steering, but also given a more 'Connected' feel 🤔 (just like 'SuperfastMatt' and his Honda Fireblade 1000cc land speed vehicle.
