      He could have pronation or supination. I had pronation and broke bones at least once a year. I was constantly on crutches as a teen and in my early 20's. So many people suffer from these conditions but they can be fixed. Go get your feet checked, people. If you have pain, don't just assume you're getting old at age 30; there's probably a cause and solution.

    • @EtamirTheDemiDeer
      @EtamirTheDemiDeer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +269

      Never forget Momiplier’s self defense lessons:
      1. Don’t trust your cousins
      2. Use your wallet as a weapon when attacked
      3. Think rationally while intoxicated
      4. Don’t defend your partner, they’re not worth it
      4a. If they’re ‘worth it’, call them to ask for permission
      4b. If they grant permission, fight and the winner gets both partners
      5. Pray to God (if that doesn’t work, keep praying)
      6. Say “Kill me” when a gun is pointed to your head
      7. Don’t be like Mark, shave it off

    When Mark was freezing when he was talking about the make a wish girl he visited, I’m wondering if that was him having flashbacks. I’m not going to assume since it could be him finding the words, but it looked like he was remembering, and that hit me hard

    • @xHarpyx
      @xHarpyx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +87

      The amount of empathy in his eyes definitely tells you he was remembering her. He was reliving the moment in response to Phil’s question. And I was already tearing up at the question because I’m a big baby. But then dissolved into tears seeing his expression. It brought me with him to that moment of pain... just imagining the terrible experience of a sick and battle worn child dying broke me. And knowing that my imagining is nothing compared to the reality...

    I just want to mention Mark's talk about his friendships, because I felt seen. I'm a person of "treat others how you want to be treated", so I don't put a lot of effort into maintaining relationships because I don't mind if the other person doesn't put in the effort either, I love friendships where we can not talk for months and we talk again like nothing happened, but some people don't like that, and effort needs to be put from both sides, consistently. I've never had a bond last in strenght for over 3 years, somehow, all my relationships weaken a LOT after that, I even lose them. I'm glad I'm not alone in that, I think of Mark as a great guy, so maybe I can be too, if I put just a bit more effort.

      I had a friend with ADHD who seemed like this and it really clears things up for me. I had an awareness of it, I was always afraid of being forgotten so I'd over expose them to me(sending a lot of texts and messages) and it broke down our relationship(in conjunction with a lack of communication as even though I was often talking they were not responding).

      I have a friend that I really value , still really value, and she has been important for almost 10 years, but it’s more or less entirely one sided... In the last five years she has never reached out to me, she responds when I contact her for a short short while, then will stop again. Whenever we have arranged to catch up, which even though I ask, is sometimes less than once a year, she has been late every time, by more than an hour... It is hard to keep attempting to keep the connection, and harder still to accept that she no longer really cares for it (she has said specifically that we are no longer close, she has new friends, new connections)... Some days it still really upsets me because I don’t understand how I can care for her so much and seem to be a nonentity to her... Anyway sorry for the sob story, I guess.

      My God, I'm seriously going through the same exact thing! Like recently I found out that several TH-camrs that I really identify with and understand their life struggles and stuff, I started realizing that most of them have ADHD. I didn't even know Mark has ADHD until like a week ago. So much of what I relate to in my own life, struggles I thought were "normal" are a part of that condition.
      I'm so shocked and scared by the idea that I might have ADHD too. My brain is like in major denial right now, like there is a voice that's shouting, "Oh please! Stop pretending! You just want excuses! You're just lazy!!!" but the symptoms are just waaaay too close to my own life to be coincidence.
      I'm trying to get up the courage to get tested... not gonna lie, I'm scared...

      Agreeing with the others here that he knows he has it and takes meds but meds don't fix anything but the chemical side of ADHD. No one's ever told him the symptoms, how to manage them, or coping mechs for the mental side of it so he really doesn't seem to know that the things he downs himself for are actually normal symptoms and it's very frustrating that we aren't educated on these things even if we are diagnosed. I also didn't learn about my symptoms until my mid 20s and I'm almost 30.

    Yet I do not regret a single moment, my life at that time was a mess I had people passing away all around me and other things that I'm not really willing to put out there on the internet. Mark changed me and when he was mentioning his goals and what not it put it into a different perspective.
    Him mentioning his relationship with his dad and how he wasn't able to truly know his dad before passing really hit home, ive heard so, so, so many stories from my own father about how he regrets not getting to know his father before he died from cancer. It makes me respect him and my own dad even more.

    I've found that depression works similar to gravity. It's like falling down a hole. It's super dark, you can barely see the top. You know it's there, somewhere, but you're not sure how to get back up.
    Fortunately! Most modern adventuring parties carry 50ft. of rope per person. So if your friend has fallen into a pit, tie your rope together and haul them out.
    If you find that you are depressed And alone.. that sucks. At that point you'll just have to start digging out your own hand and foot holds. You're gonna slip, but you've got this.
