      That's what TH-camrs do. Name a exaggerated title, attracting people to watch their videos. And many tech TH-camrs will discuss Apple not because they love Apple, its because Apple has many topics. Talking about Apple means more views, which is actually a big shame I think...

    Recently purchased a certified Apple refurbished 16 inch MacBook Pro M1 Max, 36G ram, 1TB SSD, for £2550.. absolute steal.
    Coming from a 2015 MacBook Pro 13 inch retina, i5, 8G ram, 256GB SSD!
    Huge upgrade and absolutely blown away already.
    Basically a portable desktop, and only 0.5kg heavier than my 2015 MacBook Pro!

    I got a 14" from Best Buy. It was open box and on sale to boot. 16GB of RAM is the sweet spot for me. Everything just runs and doesn't lag. Far better than the Air which has no fan and really needs one. But one really good plus over a PC is that people make rugged cases for these models to where I don't need a separate bag for it. Yes, Surface Pro machines have these same types of cases so some PCs have them... it's preferable to have them when putting in a purse though.

    • @ArthropodSpidey
      @ArthropodSpidey ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Air DOESN'T need a fan for what it's supposed to be used for. That's the whole point.

    • @eppsislike
      @eppsislike ปีที่แล้ว

      The Air doesn't need a fan. Hence why they called it Air.

    • @Lowest_Levels
      @Lowest_Levels ปีที่แล้ว

      The upside of the Macbook Air is the ability to operate without a fan versus laptops having fans which draws dust and debris into the laptop body requiring eventual cleaning and opening up of the device. While fanless and powerful for what it is, the Macbook Air has a use case scenario which allows for this fanless design to work. Yes, it can edit basic videos and play games but the price for it's form factor is heat and eventual potential throttling. As others have basically stated, if you have needs that go beyond an everyday consumer computer for basic tasks, Apple has a lineup of products which scale up based on needs which reflects in the hardware configurations.
      To add: Best Buy is known for great open box deals whether getting a computer or whatever else and you can purchase two year protection which if an issue arises, they will replace with something entirely new or if not available, equivalent cash.

    Had to comment with a smile. After purchasing the m1 max and enjoying the laptop display with it's micro LCD technology as a type of cousin to OLED, I ended up purchasing a 27 inch Micro LCD display with HD1000, local dimming and a standard brightness of 650 nits. Spoiled with the macbook and subsequently needed an external monitor that would complement the laptop, using both displays together while working at the desk. Ended up selling my 34 inch ultrawide and 32 inch 4k monitor. After using the Micro LCD macbook display, those monitors looked washed out and lacked the contrast and HDR levels which showcased the technology as intended.
    Costly but was a sound decision and feel as if I got into the future of displays at the ground floor.

    I don't think its a must to upgrade to 32GB of RAM if you plan to use it for work tbh. Im using my Macbook Pro 16inch M1 16GB RAM for my job as a web developer, even with x2 external display + 2 Jetbrains IDEs opened + Docker + Safari and Firefox with multiple tabs opened. I still dont get any system hiccup or anything. People with other special need might wanna get the 32GB RAM but Im sure its not a must. I bought a 17 inch MacBook Pro back in 2008 and a custom backpack specifically for that model from Swissgear called the Carbon. Back then, the MacBook Pro was 8 pounds and I sometimes carried two laptops in the backpack. The 2021 MacBook Pro 16 swims in the laptop compartment. I could probably fit two of them in there. I have had my M1 Pro MacBook Pro for a year and it has been great. I decided to go with a Studio for the desktop as I don't like unplugging and plugging monitors and other things. I have four port hubs on it so I plug in a of devices.

    I've the MBP 14" and also used 16" for a month earlier. I like these displays but side by side, Samsung Tab S7+ display looks even better to me for most types of content. @BalaKrishna-bq5iz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ZyliceLiddell Macbook Pro 14 and 16 have the same mini LED screen as ipad pro if not better. Yet, OLED is still better. The contrast ratio is considerably better than regular LCDs especially in movies with dark scenes but for most if the regular stuff, it is still a regular LCD lit by white LEDs from the back. OLEDs are self lit and that makes a ton of difference with the color saturation and vibrancy.
      Apple reportedly plans to move to OLEDs on ipad pro in a couple of years but no word on MacBooks.

    • @mejlgaardbliddal
      @mejlgaardbliddal ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BalaKrishna-bq5iz OlED has the best black levels because you can control the black level on a pixel by pixel basis but the max brightness across the entire screen is way lower thus making it less suitable in environments with lots of uncontrollable light. A dual layer OLED might solve that problem, but I don’t think that technology is mass market ready yet.

    • @BalaKrishna-bq5iz
      @BalaKrishna-bq5iz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mejlgaardbliddal counter to that brightness argument is probably right in our hands. What display can be in a more challenging light than your phone? Like, what can be more uncontrollable then bright sunlight? Latest flagships can hit even 2000 nits when needed. It cant sustain that due to heat limitations and burn in scare but who needs such sustained brightness? The so-called bright LCD and mini-LED displays on Macbook Air and MacBook pro are capped at 400 and 500 nits respectively in SDR anyway. MBP's Mini-LED only goes higher in in HDR typically in selective parts of the screen as dictated by the HDR. So, it looks to me, the major factor thats stopping Macs from going all the way is siding on the cautious side due to burn in potential, especially considering that static elements on the screen like Menu bar and dock. There are already some premium windows laptops with 2.8K OLED screens that can hit 400-600 nit brightness and they looked gorgeous in my brief time I played with them. And underlying all this is the perceived brightness. Due to the nature of the display, similarly rated OLED panel "looks" more brighter than an LCD with equivalent brightness. I see a lot of reviewers observe the same.
      Bottomline: I get all the concerns with the bright OLED panels but I can't wait for them to be here sooner. Even a less brighter OLED is more gorgeous my mini-LED. Not only they look great but the response time is stupid fast (~0.2ms) ...like near Zero compared to 100+ ms on MacBook Pros.

That didn’t make any sense to me as I rarely use more than 2 video tracks in the educational videos I am creating for my pupils at school. I bought a 16" Lenovo Yoga a few days ago with 32MB RAM, 1TB SSD and a discrete, albeit small, discreet Intel Arc GPU . It has all the power I need, a better OS and only spent $1,700.00. I'm pretty sure, if I take care of it, it will last at least five years and probably more if I want it to. I do Android programming with Android Studio, thus the 16" screen, but this computer has all the power I need to run the android emulators and both the hardware and software have been rock solid so far. I can't imagine why anyone would buy a MacBook Pro unless you're doing a lot of video or photo editing or similar high end creative work.

      No, it's not as simple as just editing photos or videos, it's the combination of the M1 technology, MacOS and the attention to detail.
      For me, I can't imagine why you would buy a Lenovo Yoga since there's an M1 on the market.

      @@eppsislikeWindows >> MacOS. Lenovo put great attention to detail into my Yoda. Battery life is more than adequate. At $1,700.00 I've got great value out of my Yoga purchase. The Macbooks are very high quality, but I can't imagine why I'd spend $3,000+ for a MacBook Pro when I can spend $1700 with the Yoga and do everything I need to do. It's feels like it's almost getting to where Apple quality is so great that it exceeds the use cases of what 95% of the population really needs them for.

    We bought the 16" M1 Pro 10 Core CPU + 16 Core GPU 1TB SSD - it's been great except the speakers keep POPPING all the damn time. It's a decently widespread issue and apple isn't addressing. Avoid this model.

    Hey there, man. How are you doing? I'm doing fine. I see that you have a lot of laptops, and I'm typing this to ask you to send me one if you can. The reason I'm asking is because I want to start coding but lack the necessary equipment. Oh, and I'm 15 and recently started a job, so I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to begin learning how to code and other things.
