So does it have an upgraded bearing? Sure they look cool but I'm not sure I see any improvement to the failure points on a tie rod. Even trucks that death wobble bad dont bend the bar, they wreck the bearing. Pretty truck anyhow
Heavier duty tie rods are less prone to bending and wearing out. The parts are stronger and made of better quality components to achieve this. Check out their website. Not sure what bearing you’re referring to, unless it’s the wheel bearing, Kryptonite makes those for duramax’s as well.
Bro.. do you know how the little spindle can spin? You know, where the boot is. There is a bearing in that. That is the part that wears out on the rod ends.. I seriously shouldn't have to explain that to you. It's literally THE ONLY PART THAT WEARS OUT
@@maddguystackerdude7366 The part you're referring to is a wear point yes, but its not the reason for replacing the stock tie rods. So I have a 2013 2500hd, I get alot of vibration in my steering wheel when I hit 40mph and license up a little in the highway. I've done alignment and wheel balance and still the same. I was told it is my tie rods that I need to get heavy duty tie rods, with your experience is that what is causing the issue.?
I haven’t experienced that issue before, so I’m not sure what it would be. Could be a good idea to install HD tie rods, even if it doesn’t fix the issue at least you have better tie rods in there now and can eliminate that. May need to have a dealer look at it though
Held up pretty well!! I sold the truck last year about a year after installing and had no issues, new owner loves how the truck drives as well. No loose tie rods 🤘🏼
The spindle is the cone shaped bit and the shaft is the metal rod bit. I'm asking because if the spindle is after market as you say, it will only work with a modified steering knuckle right?
I have a question that I know the answer too but wanted your thoughts, I have a 2018 ram 2500 4x4, my Tie rod is bent right in the middle, I've heated it and was able to straighten it, I know it's not like new now and will need to be replaced. Should I replace it fast like right now since I do alot of towing with my truck. Also what are your thoughts on the Synergy tie rods
Vince Padilla never heard of synergy tie rods but I also don’t know much about the aftermarket parts for rams, but yea if you’re towing I would get that replaced ASAP. Heating it up and straightening it is only a bandaid but it’s much weaker then before.
I sold the truck last year but i did notice a tightening of the steering since my stock ones were worn out. the biggest difference would be in the longevity and strength of the tie rods compared to the stock ones
Good video! Yes heavy, durable, thick tie rods the better especially for lifted and heavy trucks... People truly don’t understand the concept of this video and why it was made. Why put stock tie rods back on and have them go out again in a few months? Maybe people should own lifted trucks before they talk and this isn’t for their Hyundai or Kia....
A few months later I checked, they were still good. They come pre-greased just don’t put more in because you can blow out the boot from too much grease
Right, I guess that is where you lost me on why that means I need it. A reinforced driveshaft and o-ringed heads are strong but there is no reason for them in most applications
I guess after lifting any truck it's better to beef up the suspension components that are more likely to fail because of the changing geometry. If you overland or off-road it's better to have reinforcement but if you have a mall crawler or a daily that doesn't go off road as much then it doesn't make any sense in actually upgrading.
They are holding up well, I sold the truck but new owner is still happy. No issues from what I have heard. And the noticeable difference is only going to be steering feel will be slightly tighter. Not much ride difference other then that.

Im with Mike on this. it does not appear you know the full understanding on why these upgraded tierods are important. We need these tie rods for 4wd boosted launches.
