    Very useful information. Great!!!
Can you help for 1D round cross section bar under torque load and the required output is angle vs torque!! It would be great help if you can put video!!!

I'm having the issue come up where abaqus is failing with the error "#### elements have missing property definitions". I had created the model in Hypermesh first using the OptiStruct profile and changed to the Abaqus profile before exporting the data. Any tips on how to solve this issue?

Thank you for this very useful tutorial.
But I think there are some problems that we should pay attention to.
The first is applying the CLOAD in hypermesh. When applying the first -50N in this model,
you applied the load at a temp node. So if you clear the temp node, the load disappear as well.
The second one makes me confused. When I use Abaqus to mesh the part, I need to tell Abaqus the element type. But in this tutorial, I just mesh the part but didn't tell Hypermesh the element type. But it did set it as shell element. Why? default, since we use shell property?
    Thank you!

This is definitely too late, but should be a clarification for someone who is reading it in the future:
1 - I believe if you generate the input file before clearing the temp nodes, they will be applied to the appropriate "real" nodes in the model
2 - There are some default element types for 1st degree shell and 2nd degree shell, which you can see and edit in the preferences. The assigned element type during meshing is whatever that default value is set to.
