The sparkle distractions that put you on a rant of useless information is and always will be a welcome talent. Thank you for all your hard work and insider info. Love your show.
Whew 😅
I feel like manufacturers FINALLY moved on from the 70s camper interiors. Nice tile, furniture, a door window you can see out of and a tall window bedside/couchside. Can we assume the one RV interior designer in the industry recently retired 😂. Loving it!
😆
With the exception of the fart fans and the camp queen bed, this seems a great coach. I particularly love the long counter
I would prefer a non-slide version.
I'm glad more manufacturers are using the Furion open both ways knockoff.
For that corner, the perfect appliances for me could be a high quality toaster oven, blender or electric griddle.
Oh man it's perfection.
PLEASE NIX the Murphy bed and give us a true queen. Damn I hate to keep repeating this but Jayco, everything you do right is 💯. The hard to find things that are wrong are complete deal breakers 💯
Love it! Love the counter space, coffee pot AND air fryer in that cubbie. Change out the tv bracket to one that will angle down when pulled out. Don’t care more the Murphy bed.
I love the idea of having 2 choices, slide or no slide. Not just this TT but many more on the market.
I love this Floorplan. Myself, I prefer the slide, but since there is room with the slide in, I can see where some would prefer no slide, then you wouldn't have to keep up with the slide maintenance. I would put a coffee maker, and either an Instant Pot or Crock Pot in the cubbie, which I love. I agree with updating the fans to larger sizes. I would like to see Jayco use the Bluetooth portable speaker instead of the speakers outside that are up high. For a couples camper, this works wonderfully. Thanks for staying up late for the videos.
It's brutal being dog tired like that but some of my best random banter comes when I'm in that zone lol :)
We’ve told you before that Jayco has one of the best interior decors! Love the size and weight! Thanks Josh!
About all I would want to add would be a sink sprayer and a maxx air fan. I love the theater seats and the 'vintage farmhouse' bright colors!
Thanks for the videos Josh! We've been watching for a couple years knowing we wanted to get into the RV world. This floorplan is our favorite for a starter. It's so great to be able to look at our favorites -- this one, the Imagine, and the Jayflight, side by side in your videos. Your videos are second to none. You've got the camera work, content, and mix of information and personality nailed.
My pleasure! Ty for watching 😊
I LOVE this model. It would be my pick for an RV. I like the inside storage as compared to outside. Perfect set up.
I love the flexibility of the Murphy bed! Love the kitchen but I would love an outside fridge…road mode beats out the GD version!
Man that is high marks. The GD 17MKE is a solid offering
So many things about this layout that hit so many points for a couples light travel trailer for me. I really love the combined decor package it is perfect for my decor tastes. I would do a no slide in this over a slide.
Ty for the feedback
We bought our 2022 Rockwood 2204S from a couple who said it had way too much storage for them!! We have had it 6 months and have found it to be the perfect trailer for us. Thanks, Josh, and thanks, Rockwood.
That’s great!
Love the kitchen, it is nicer than the one at home. Not a big fan of slides, but if you have one, you must have 3 windows. I could happily live in this one. Good job, Jayco
Josh, another Awesome design, this time from Jay Feather! We have talked in the past about my 2004 Zeppelin181 with this same floor plan and how fantastic it is for couples, and, easy to tow. I am so glad to see manufacturers catching on to this wonderfully efficient design and features, both inside and out. Keep up your great work 😎
man! Zeppelin! That takes me back :)
I don't know how I feel about a Murphy bed.i like the fact that it can stay down during travel. And I love the travel access.
Transcend 200MK is similar with no murphy bed. Ember's version is similar to this in that you can also just leave the bed down
Hi Josh! Great video! I really like this one being small like it is. I love the shower door. Love the Murphy bed. Love the counter tops. Love the theater seats. Thank you Josh!
Thanks so much!
I love this floor plan! I can't dislike anything in this one. The bendy bed maybe but that for me would be nitpicking. I really want this one for my next TT.
I like the hide away bed as long as it's comfortable to sleep on not giving up any matrass quality. It just takes up room when not using it, and keeps it cleaner away from kids, and pets that might be running around outside in the dirt.
Love your videos! I love that they did away with the silly smile face on the front cap now!
My second favorite trailer. I wish it had drawers around the bed like GD, but otherwise I would be happy with it and I do like the vintage decor. When I am ready to buy, I certainly will be comparing the two. Thanks Josh, I really appreciate your honesty and sharing the good with the bad. I also like the outside decor and large awning and appreciate the solar being part of the package. I think it's time for all manufacturers to include it.
Ember and Surveyor both do an AMAZING job of storage around the bed!
If they made this without a slide id buy it instantly. Im looking at the 212QB but damn i love this kitchen and the bed/sofa with pop up table.
I could totally see it
Your squirrel moments make an otherwise humdrum rv tour entertaining. Keep it up!
BTW - love the long counters and spacious interior for such a small trailer.
Glad you like them!
Squirrel, I love it! The kitchen is amazing. All of that storage in that small of a camper is almost too much to ask for, especially the kitchen. The more I look at this camper, the more possibilites I see...when traveling, no sitting on the seating if the slide is in, but with the other couch, wallah, comfy seating. Love being able to access everything with the slide in, and being able to leave the bed down. Negatives for me is the solid steps, would rather have folding. This oven looks smaller than the oven in our 2015 rockwood 2109s.
This oven IS smaller than your rockwood's. Rockwood uses a 22" oven. This is a 16" model
Love the kitchen. Don't love the murphy bed but since its the only sleep option I would have to give up the cool theater seats for a sofa bed.
Great trailer. Good weight. Good refrigerator. Interior looks good. I like the kitchen and theather seats.
Murphy bed is good, but it would be better is it was not a folding mattress.
It definitely needs a hitch for a bike rack and/or generator.
You might love the Rockwood 2517s
It’s pretty much everything you’d prefer
@@JoshtheRVNerd
Do you know of any videos reviewing the 2517? 😆
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks for the suggestion
@JoshtheRVNerd
Yes, the 2517 looks great, except for the weight. I have a 5500Lbs limit.
No slide gives more cargo weight. Even after your video telling about slides, I still prefer no slide.
👍🏻
Love the decor! That far counter would be coffee maker, etc. Or some small shelves.
Love love love that there are options cuz we are always wanting to swap a dinette for the recliners. Nice and bright and great floor plan
Surveyor is similar in that they basically size ALL their seating to 60" wide so you can hot-swap them
Like the decor. Love the road mode, Yes need the slide. Good counter layout. Glad to see a unit without the front window. the jaysmart lighting would be nice....I have always added my own anyway.
Thanks 👍
This one is a winner! The fact that it uses double Azdel and they have windows on both sides of the bed. That's a plus over the GD 17mke. One dislike... the short queen, but we have one now so it's not a deal breaker. FYI, there's a place call Mattress Insider that make just about any kind of mattress you could want including a much nicer bendy bed.
That kitchen is amazing, and the theater seating is sharp. I like the pop up outlets in the counter. The top of the bed could be covered with a small curtain on a tension rod. The bathroom could be a deal breaker. My husband is a larger guy, and that wouldn’t be comfortable for either of us.
Awesome ty Gail!
I LOVE this camper. A slide is a must for us. Had a small TT w/o slide and with two of us and 2 dogs, we constantly were in each others way.
The two seating areas are a must, as my husband likes to lie down and I like to sit comfortably. It also allows for visitors to not have to sit on the end of a bed!
Agree the height should be taller; maybe a rounded ceiling? The bathroom is too small, if the trailer was even 1' longer, I think it would help, or perhaps make the bathroom across the backend, and move fridge.
The design and colors are what i have wanted for so long! See ya, brown interior! 😊
The drop down TV mount is a great idea, and maybe the top of the bottom cabinet could be a fireplace.
It could use more clothing storage and definitely would like the addition of a cubby on each side of the bed, to make up for the super small nightstands.
Thanks so much for all that you do!
I've almost always camped in a no-slide RV. We are tired of it by the 4th day but don't camp enough to get a bigger model
But man.. the space..
I like this layout a lot! I would love to see one with the dinette or sleeper sofa.
Noted!
Yeah. I’d really like to see the dinette. I need to be able to work on the road and having the dinette to set up my computer on would be perfect. Then I wouldn’t mind putting the Murphy bed up and down. But that kitchen!!!! OMG!!!!
Love it!! Checks all my boxes.
Needs a little drop-down door or curtain to cover the top of the murphy bed when in sofa mode.
TY. Cool idea
I don't know if this would work. Roll a towel up real tight and stick front to rear in the bathroom cubby. Then put your bathroom bottles behind it. The rolled towel length needs to be long enough it's compressed in the cubby. Give it a try Josh, and include it in a video if it works.
…I love budget solutions. May give it a shot
Your suggestion for a slide-less model is inspired. I remain skeptical about the comfort of a Murphy bed and woinder if their are "bendy bed" options that might, at least, upgrade the comfort level. I like what Jayco has done here and would definitely consider it as a replacement for our 212. Plus, the Beatle's trivia was worthwhile.
Come for the murphy
Stay for the trivia
Love the 17MKE floorplan with the theater seating and Murphy bed, the TV, the shower door, the standard solar package, huge awning and attached ladder👍the only real downer was the cheap plastic toilet and Dollar Store 4” bathroom fart fan😢
I like the placement of furnace/water heater. I almost think there should be a no-slide version; to increase CCC, reduce complexity and have fewer opportunity for leaks.
It would be nice to have leveling jacks instead of stabilizers. And , I dream, of a front window
I love the kitchen! Id love a dinette and stationary bed though
I think Vibe has something like that
Great design! If the build quality is up to snuff, it's a winner!
Nice camper. Needs more clothing storage. Keep up the good work Josh.
Thanks! Will do!
I DO love most everything in this trailer. The only thing I noticed was there is no bumper hitch on the back of the trailer which I would like to see, but is not a deal breaker. What I love is the layout of the kitchen and large prep speace. Love the corner space as well and would make it a coffee/tea bar.
Those rear hitches are handy but also require bulking up the rear chassis plus the hitch. They quickly add more cost and weight
But sometimes the juice is worth the squeeze
A no slide version would be great! I feel they could get the weight down quite a bit pulling out the slide. No slide would probably make more sense with the small two seater style dinette or counter/stool combo, and TV on the wall to the bathroom across from the murphy couch.
TY. People keep saying "give me a no slide" but I've yet to see a MFG do it
All those camp side windows .... LOVE it!
I'd go with dinette option.
TY!
Okay, for the cubby I would put a bread box over there. Just kidding. Perfect place for appliances like air fryer. Coffee pot would probably be closer to sink or even closer to the door (when coffee is being made) so you can grab a cup and sit outside and watch the world wake up. I really like this and I did not think the bed was going to work with the slide in. That's definitely a huge bonus. I could see a version of this with the theater seating and no slide definitely. I am not sure I would choose the non-slide model but I would have to see both in person to really decide. The weight savings would be great for towing. The best scenario would be for a slide and non-slide model. If one doesn't sell, they can always stop making it but I think there is definitely enough interest for both. Such a great couple's camper for sure!!!
Awesome TY!
Nice execution on this floor plan (reminds me of the GD 17MKE). I really like the light color interior and that accent of black on the kitchen cabinets, well done. I like the 200W of solar, should be standard industry-wide.
Definitely a 17MKE layout
What a great place to store the table!
😊
I like this trailer, and the Murphy bed is always a winner for me. The interior colors are bright , after campfire time, this is a nice comfortable couch to watch some TV before bedtime. Solar is very important for my use, and I would add another panel. I may have missed it, but on demand hot water would be great. Like the slide, don't need an oven.
Thank you!
I like this one. Great kitchen space, good swaption choices for the slide space. Nice but compact bathroom. I guess my only nitpick would be that they have no cover for the top of the mattress when it’s up. I wonder if a person could add a board across the top to cover. Overall a nice rig. And great video! I have watched a lot of different reviewers but come back to yours.
I've seen some folks do things like hang a light curtain or something there
Josh, we come for the RV info. We stay for the yesterday's scrambled eggs squirrel moments. 😊
Thank goodness lol
Hate the Murphy Bed but I could still live with it. 50 gallon fresh tank is awesome but the kitchen is definitely my favorite part!!
That kitchen is amazing for sure
Who does like pop song trivia? Or at least from 70&80's!.. I like the fact there's Dbl Azdel walls in this unit.. And more solar! Like someone else mentioned, this is not your 70s style camper. I'd change the seating to a hideaway...
As the owner of a 2023 173MRB, I envy the miles of countertop. I like this layout a lot, but it would be within the safety margin of my towing capacity. Might be able to tow a no slide version. Standardizing solar is great too, but Jay Feather is still a step behind Rockwood E-Pro/G-Pro with standard solar and inverter (and tank heaters and Shower Miser).
Rockwood is ahead of a lot of brands in a lot of ways I think
Uncle Josh, this one checks all of the boxes for us. I like it.
🙌🏻
Very nice the bed needs to 60x80 with easy CPAP hook ups. An onboard propane generator, Curtis suspension, A truma AC, a one piece hard roof
Man an ember is darn close to all that
We appreciate you burning the midnight oil.
Love this floorpan.
21MML is\was my favorite. Now 19MRK is tied for the top spot.
21MML jr.
Would like to see a no slide version with the theater seating.
Complete with Televator or under the cabinet swing down TV.
Must avoid neck strain.
Thanks for sharing!
I would like to see the TV down into a lift station with a fire place in front of it, and add a cabinet where the TV was. This would be a great TT to put some miles down in a small space and easy towing.
Would love that floorplan in a no slide. It would bring the cost down as well.
It would help a bit for sure
I would put my Cherry shrimp aquarium back there, I make coffee on the stove.🦐🦐🦐☕☕☕
You finally got your medicine cabinet, and did not mention it. Great unit, great video
Flights were missing them. Feathers have had them
This model is really well thought out. Some good design.
Glad you like it
Love the exterior color palette and stickers. Look sorta elegant inside and out. Doable I believe.
Nice! TY :)
I like this one for a personal with pet traveler or couple it’s just the right size. I think this one’s going on my top 5 list or one of the ones I’m going to look at.
Great pick!
I love the no kitchen table version and would leave the bed down. Never tried a Murphy bed.
TY Pat! I think i'd leave the bed down MOST of the time myself
I LOVE this rig. But Jayco needs to option a dinette, period. I exchanged emails with Jayco about this floorplan about a week ago, they confirmed no dinette option. Also, really hoping Jayco and other major brands start making ABS standard. I believe GD is already moving that direction. Honestly, it's a microcosm of the towables market that ABS is only being introduced in 2023
Agree. A dinette is a must have. Other than that, this checks all the boxes.
Jaycos FWs are not only using ABS but also electronic anti sway
GD imagines are moving to abs yeah
Beautiful cabinets & layout. Love the table that is hidden in the couch. The only big issue with this is the bed. If the bed didn't need to be folded then u could just use a regular/better mattress & just lift the bed out of the way. Jayco is definetly on my list of campers to buy.
Rockwood has a version of this coming, the 2517S. 1pc Easy murphy bed
I have video coming. Stay tuned! :)
i like the slide no slide option .. the thermostat next to bathroom door needs to move over so it will not get damaged with going in and out of bath
Good call. TY
Hey Uncle Josh hope you're having a great day? I was wondering if you could option an electric space heating fireplace in this unit? I love the space in this unit. I love the setup of this Jayco!
I don’t think you can currently
I to like drawers instead cubicles in bath for towels. Otherwise I love everything else. GREAT 👍. Good to see, outside kit.myhubby would like single black tank!!😂 perfect size for couple only. 😊
Love the counterspace.....And thank you for working late! THANKS NERD!
Our pleasure!
I love my 22 199MBS, but I wish I would have held out for this one.
This is exactly the way that I wish my floor plan was.
Thankfully you still have yourself a great camper!
Kitchen counter back corner would be a GREAT spot for a dishwasher.
I havent watched one of your reviews in a few years, when did you switch Dealerships, thought you worked for your parents...?
First, welcome back!
Cliff notes: my father retired. My brother and I didn’t want to run the show. Sold the store to Bish’s. I stayed on. Still nerdy
Jayco says "take this Grand Design Imagine."
😆
I swear that’s what companies do..
🎶 Anything you can do I can do better 🎶
Nice trailer. I’d pay up for a Fantastic Fan with the power cover. I think there’s only one Yesterday also.
Nicely done my man.
Thanks a bunch!
OMG they have a real ladder they have a real ladder. Hooray.
Hahahah 👍🏻
Awesomeness. Windows galorage, Azdel, Theater seating, counter space (air fryer & Instapot in the pocket) Foreigner reference🎸 music trivia👍🏻 secret table storage (Lumex mattress is a great replacement for Murphy Bed, acceptable shower, tandem axles…👍🏻👍🏻two thumbs up. Bandit approved 🐶
Bandit approved hahaha
Come for the camper
Stay for the scrambled eggs
Fantastic! High on the list, just fabulous!
Fantastic!
I would prefer a no slide version with a dinette. Other than that a great looking camper.
Great counter top space. For the we RV (5 to 10 days per trip) I’d appreciate a larger gray tank for those sites that only offer water and power.
TY for sharing! Good input
I would like to loose the countertop to the left of the kitchen sink (yes, I said less counter top) and see a fireplace/tv/hidden pantry instead. Then it would be perfect!
It has enough I think you could make that sacrifice
LOVE the colors!
Awesome ty!
Excellent! Just need more clothes hanging space. Not sure where though
This is one of my #1 picks as someone trying to get into full-timing on a tight budget.
$38,995 tight budget?
Good pick!
Nice size Trl, light weight and very stylish. Don't care for Murphy beds, prefer fixed Queen/King and dinette as it doubles as bed.
Fair enough! TY Larry
Transcend can be outfitted like that btw - fixed true queen bed + dinette. It's their 200MK model
Hey Josh! I'd put a toaster oven/air fryer oven in that back corner. A couple of changes I'd like to see: A taller ceiling height (since I'm 6'8") and a full queen with a curtain for privacy. That shouldn't block the door too much
Air fryer makes sense in that corner to me for sure
Another well done video, Josh! The outlets with USB A and USB C outlets look very impressive. One thing I wonder about is the quality of those USB outlets. Typically in campers they are of a horrible quality. In fact, when we bought a brand new Salem 28VBXLX in July the dealer informed us that we can't plug our iPhones into the USB outlets - it will fry the outlet, and I have seen confirmations of that in various camping forums. This makes me wonder what can be safely plugged into a USB outlet in a camper.
News to me.. doesn't mean it's not true. I'm just not familiar with it. I've charged my phone off a BUNCH of rv outlets. I'm on iphone user myself
Nice trailer! 👍
Wish they just had the bed, instead of Murphy. Along with the theater seats.
The new look is nice
Beautiful RV! I could do without a slide on this particular model. Less maintenance, less to go wrong but that’s just me.🤷♂️🙂
Thanks for the review. This is well done, but makes me scratch my head in a few places. The large window over the sink is great, but why couldn't they make the front window the same size? Also, the hard corner on the counter top is going to cause an enormous amount of pain for people who run into it. A 1" radius there would make it much safer. Not a fan of the amount of toilet access. Recessing the base cabinet below the sink level would have given more comfort for the poor pooper.
Solid ideas Ty
Love the Jaycos 😊
Plenty more to come!
I’m sure by now you know it’s “Yesterday”, not “Yesterday’s “. Still , great song, and interesting factoid. Thx.
I absolutely like this one. But you got me when you said there are some with the same floor plan but with more of an outside kitchen. I'd prefer more of an outside kitchen. What would you recommend? TIA and keep up the good work.
I left some links to similar models from other builders in the description. The Ember version likely has the most involved camp kitchen
Love the kitchen area.
It's incredible for an RV this size!
It needs a slide, no question. The size is great!
Ty
I want it! I wish you had a Bish's in Florida.
I do too
I love this floorplan by all the different manufacturers.
And, funny that you ask, I've always thought I would put one of those small countertop dishwashers in that back corner. Not sure how well it would fit with the placement of that tower-of-power...🤔
Nonetheless, I love this trailer...💕
And, I love the new decor! 💕
And, the music trivia. 😁
Glad you like them!
Back corner on kitchen counter: make an appliance garage.
Oooh…
A dinette is a MUST for me. Not a Din-ofa. And I hate the entertainment center where it is across from the dinette in the slide and not the Murphy sofa. Not to mention, the Murphy sofa sucks as a sofa. No full recliner ability.
My solution. Keep the theater seat in the slide across from the ent center and design a Murphy dinette.
Anyone else like that idea?
Some Murphy dinettes have been tried but met with poor success. Hard to have fixed back dinette seats under a bed that folds down
