That black rabbit brought back memories of when I was a young lad fishing in the Snowy Mountains at Lake Eucumbene….my brother and I would chase a few rabbits to put in the pot and we often saw “coloured” rabbits of black, orange and orange/white. Wishing you and yours Josh a great 2025 and thanks for taking us all along on your outings.
Thanks Josh and Ben, for another video. I often think that Modern Tech stuff like that you showed, makes Pest Control much more efficient and helps prevent Animals suffering thru being wounded. I only say this because (in the UK) I like seeing Bunnies and especially Hares out in the Fields, but I know from first-hand experience that their numbers must be controlled.
@@intothenight1993 yeah they look like a good image also. I got the Vidar 650, the controls are very intuitive in the dark and all close to operator. No reaching way forward to focus which I like.
On pest species, out of curiosity how bad are the cane toads out there,i spotted one on the thermal image at 3.08/9 ?.Been doing a bit of a removal of them on the folks acreage (under 5) so small in context but for just a month over 1160.Happy New Year and thanks for the content.
Well this is the only thermtec device I’ve ever used. It is good gear but I’m not a fan of the menu system or the screen but that is only nit picking. I would definitely take Nocpix or Hikmicro before thermtec but that is just my personal preference after using multiple devices
Yeah I used to see a lot some years but hardly any other years. Is it just throwback in the breeding ? Can anyone explain why there are black rabbits in high volume years?
This is what I found on Google. Black wild rabbits are completely natural and are what's described as being melanistic, This occurs when there is an over development of the melanin gene which leads to the dark colour. If both parents carry the gene then the greater the possibility of a really black rabbit becomes.

Thanks mate. Yes it does make it more efficient.
Another beautiful sharing adventure upload and share and thanks again Josh ! ..
@@azamyahmad thanks.
Thermtec is extremely underrated
After using all 4 brands I would still grab the Nocpix first out of them all but that is splitting hairs. Thermtec definitely are a good scope.

Can you share an Australian supplier for the Nocpix M6T25S ? Not having success finding it myself.
I’m not sure sorry. You could contact Groundforce International as they are the importers and distributors of the Nocpix gear.

How do you rate the ThermTec gear. I’ve got the Wild 650D and am looking to get and Ares scope.

@ cheers bro.
Of those rifle scopes, which one are you buying if it was your money. Is there any exceptional features or qualities of them?
