Hey Josh, could I suggest that for subscribers not interested in the kit you are using, please give us timeline to fast forward past the kit stuff. Many thanks.
@@kenc3288 hey mate it might be possible but often I don’t talk about it in one specific part. If I’m showing a new device I’ll usually refer to it throughout the video so people can see exactly what device I’m using and how it performs and my thoughts on it as I go. I don’t script my videos (I’ve only ever scripted an intro in one) so I make them and talk to you just as if you were coming out with me in person. So if you’re not interested there is no obligation to watch. It’s free content that I make to help people know what devices are out there and how they perform so if they were looking to buy one they know what to expect. I don’t do it for the money and don’t make much from them anyway but it still takes a lot of time to make them and lately I haven’t had much time to spare.
Great job night operations are definitely the way when you followed the second pig to the right what ran out of frame a little further in the distance??How come your having to drive the fuel truck ?
@@matthewdibb9048 I’m not sure yet I did notice that when I was reviewing the footage but don’t see it on the night. Could have been a hare. Hi Josh What sling is that you’ve got on your rifle mate? Got a trip to the snowy mtns shortly and fancy doing a few kms looking for pigs. Stays put on your shoulder does it as you yomp around?
@@scottthomas57 hey mate. It is a Magpul RLS rifle sling. I really like it because you can actually split the strap and have your head through the middle and hang the weight off both shoulders if you need to which stops it slipping off your shoulders or use it just like a normal sling.
Thanks mate. That’s great to hear. I’d suggest a 223 as a good all round gun as they do work for pigs but you just have to be more precise with shot placement. Otherwise either the 308 or 243 are both good all round rifles but also dearer to run.
yes a bolt action, pump action, straight pull or a leaver release in any centerfires are category B in all states as far as I know. (NSW may not be for some)
Yes I did swap reticles just before I started shooting to see if it helped. I don’t know if it did or not as it all went so quick and was all a bit of a blur 😂
@@intothenight1993 Watch it back over, my view is you were able to get back onto target with more confidence & helped stop that rush of blood to just pull the trigger. Just IMHO.

One of the main benefits of quality optics is quick and sure target recognition. That all happened very quickly.
Yes that’s it. The money really is in the image quality. The 1280 still holds its own when it comes to target ID.

A dog and pig eating together unbelievable
@@brettstevenson986 I think the dog was chasing the pig
If I didn't see that there's no way I'd believe a dingo + wild pig eating peacefully together..or even both in the same area..
Awesome content as always Josh. I guess those pigs and the dog you shot will provide food for other animals.
yes the Wedge Tailed Eagles love them
The odds are totally against you in the daytime, but at night...totally different story.
Thermal is certainly a game changer.
Are they useable during the daylight at all? Or does it lock you into having a night-only rifle?
@@kenpickett9317 yes they are but they don’t work as well because everything else is warmer and animals don’t stand out as much.
