Nice build! Nice detail in that kit.
Thanks!
Really great looking build Ralph. Enjoyed the history on the GTX also. Have a great weekend buddy. Terry
Thanks, you too!
Thanks for making and posting this very enjoyable video sir
You’re welcome!
Awesome build. I wish I had steady hands and an eye for detail like you. 64cand disabled. Models keep me sane!!! Always look forward to Saturday and your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Glam you enjoy them. My hands are not as steady as the used to be. I do whatever I can to steady them.
Ralph, These cars were pretty awesome in thier day. You did a great job, and the color is really nice.
Thank you!
Very cool build Raoul!
Thank you!
Not sure why but I always liked the roofline on this car??? Beautiful build!!! Tommy Boy was a Great movie. I can still remember when the deer woke up. Thanks for sharing
Lots of good scenes in that movie!
Beautiful build! Looks really stylish in that deep red.
I think so too!
This is one of my all time favorite model kits. I built it on its first release in 1995. I painted mine gold then as well.
The detail on this one blew me away back then! This and the Revell 69 Camaro's!
One of the first models I built when I got back into modeling. I painted mine maroon like yours! Raoul you are maybe the only modeler I know of that consistently adds a convertible version to the squad and you've got me into the idea to build more convertible versions of my collection. I remember seeing these cars back in the day but because of my youth, I took them for granted, never appreciating them like I do today. Great build my friend!
Thanks! I think so many cars look good without a roof!
Thanks for posting your excellent Revell '67 GTX built by you Raoul! I really enjoy looking at your model car builds and especially all of your Mopar builds you've posted on TH-cam too!
Thanks. I still have many more!
Looks good buddy love the color
Thank you!
beautiful build
Thanks!
Nice looking build Raoul. Back when these were more available on the shelves I thought of doing one as the Tommy Boy car also. Maybe I should pick one up sometime.
Go for it! I picked up another when they were recently reissued.
Wonderful build. You did a great job as usual. I really want to get one of those kits. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! This is a really good kit.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler It looks like a well engineered kit from just looking at it after it has been built. I will probably get one this fall. Right now, I want to build some other things and have plenty of kits to build. I’ve got a bunch of Camaros and Corvettes I want to build first.
I know what you mean! I just picked up a Monogram 89 Corvette ZR1. That brings my C4 stash up to 4. I built the Callaway Speedster long ago and sold it. I have a replacement of that one. I really want to build one of the C4's since I don't currently have one built in my collection.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler I recently bought ‘95 ZR1, and a ‘04 Z06, and I’m looking forward to building those.
Cool. I have both also. The 95 ZR1 is unbuilt, but the 04 Z06 Commemorative Edition is built! I believe that is the only C5 I have.
Impressive details!!
Thanks!
Another fantastic Mopar bud. Always a pleasure learning something. It would be cool to se the 67’ Charger done though (hint, hint).
Thanks! I have one 67 Charger started!
Sharp lookin GeTX!!
Thank you!
So the gold is the color that my 67 GTX was. Mine was a 440 with the automatic but mine had a column shifter and a bench seat which was very very rare! Probably the most powerful car I've ever owned. I believe this kit came out in the late 1980s actually I remember building it for the first time when I still had my GTX
Sounds cool! A bench in a GTX! Very cool.
That is beautiful Raoul.
I haven't built this kit yet, I have the Sox and Martin kit, I'm just collecting some parts to make it stock.
(the stock kit isn't easy to find over here.
Thank you! If your luck is like mine. You will find a complete kit after you hat all the parts you need.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler Yes that's normally what happens 🤣
Another beautiful build, my friend! I have 2 of the yellow car box art releases and 1 Sox & Martin release in my stash as well, one of the factory versions will (potentially eventually) get built into a Richard Petty car methinks 🤔😊✌️
Thank you! Have fun building them!
This one is on my wish list.....
It was recently rereleased, and I believe I picked it up at Hobby Lobby.
Would love to see you do the Sox and Martin version and the Drag On Lady one which I have both mint in box
I will someday build the Sox & Martin car.
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you !
@@TheMuscleCarModeler 👍
Oh ya great build!
Thank you!
Also David spade in real life is a GTX buff he owns a few GTX's and he might even have a convertible if I'm not mistaken
Yes, I have seen some of his cars. He has been on Jay Leno's show a few times. Talking about some of his cars. He doesn't disclose much of what he may have.
600 bucks for the Hemi, in 1967! Like $2000 in today's money. Crazy.
Actually, I have used an inflation calculator that I found online. $600 in 1967 is worth $5164 today.
Always liked these body styles I'm from Detroit and there was a 67 called the silver bullet it was the king of Woodward get a chance check it out. I'm not sure if there's a model or not if there is would be a awesome model to build.
I have read about that car! I believe it would be easy to duplicate.
When you do decide to do the convertible version can you do a video on showing how to cut the roof off
I will!
If you build the convertible, what will you do for the boot? Would one from the AMT ‘69 GTX kit work?
I have a resin one already. I'll find out if it fits.
Have you done a video on how those emblems were done? other than the BMF vid?
No, I have not. I plan to just have not done that yet.
Mine has been sitting unfinished for 20 years cause can’t figure out the color. What paint did you used again?
I have that problem also. On this one I used Testor's Model Master Burgundy Red Metallic in a .5 oz jar. I air brushed it on. It has since been discontinued along with the whole model master line.
Will give your color recommandation a try, should be easy to find at the local hobby shop. Tks for answering, very appreciated. The under body, interior, engine, even the Dana dif. was finished around year 2004, imagine….
Thanks!
