My brother in law was an engineer with Oklahoma gas and electric it has been years ago but he told me they had 7,000 units in Oklahoma that produce electricity from natural gas, it is not a generator but there is a process where you can produce electricity from natural gas, I have not heard anymore about it in years

umm... I'd be careful... i am not a lawyer but common sense tells me if the government puts up a fence/gate then it may become an easement which could have serious effects on your property... I'd check with a lawyer before allowing the government to do any "work" on your property..... maybe just take a cash settlement and keep them out of the picture to ensure that the property remains yours...

I feel the same way you do about it an more. You never give permission or let any kind of government on your property to do anything ever. Especially like he is talking about here in this video. Because I have a filling he is going to regret doing it completely like this one day. An by then he may not be able to do or change anything about it. Because it will have been to late to stop it all or change things. To where only you, your family, and friends benefit from it only. Sometimes its not a good thing to be so nice, easy going, and understanding about things. Thats just me in what I think and feel anyways maybe im wrong.

YOU make the fence, they pay YOU for damages, never let it be called an access improvement, or a fire road.

    • @ianbelletti6241
      @ianbelletti6241 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

Definitely get a lawyer involved. If they want an easement then the lawyer can write up a contract that allows them to have an easement while you get paid and have protections limiting their access to the easement only. Alternately, you could sell them a strip of land. I'd personally lean on leasing them the easement and limiting their property access to the easement only for maintenance of the equipment and easement only.

When i was younger i canoed a bunch of rivers. I actually would try to get landowner permission for overnight camping.
Had one called police once. Sheriff showed up. Checked my id and fire ring and such. Next morning he showed up as i got ready to go do more canoing as owner had called again.
Owner was mad when sheriff told him as long as i took all my trash and kept within ten feet of the water i was legal.

Currently a relative of the Walker Farm Fam was dealing on buying property w/a house on it. Fam wisely required a survey of property lines 1st. Turned out the neighbor’s property line went right thru the middle of a bedroom!! The seller has declined to buy the footage from neighbor-so no deal!!
Fam really dodged a bullet on that one, smart move on their part, saved a real headache!

Get something in writing that they are replacing a fence and 2 gates ( with the date) because of having knocked down your fence in whatever month at your address. Also, have it say that they are doing the work and supplying gates and fencing if they are putting up new fencing, at no charge to you. Have them sign and date. You may want to talk to your insurance company about it before they start working.

Tip: When You Post Your Fences for Private Property, Make one low for vehicle’s not to pass through but also make a wire fence up high like where a dozer or fire truck could see it up high as well. Like where their windshields would be at. And when you Post the NO TRESPASSING SIGN, PUT ANOTHER SIGN BESIDE IT SAYING “THIS LAND IS OWNED BY: YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER FOR CONTACT INFO! This way by Law you have shown it is owned by You and not Federal or Government or County or City OWNED Nor owned by any other Person. The Fire Federal People Could Have Thought That the Federal Dept Had those fences and signs posted for other people not to trespass. This way… YOU ARE MAKING IT CLEAR WHO OWNS THE LAND AND NOT FOR THEM TO TRESPASS ON IT. BUT IF THEY NEED TO, THEY HAVE YOUR NUMBER TO CONTACT YOU! ALSO YOU CAN POST: SMILE YOU ARE ON CAMERA EVERYWHERE OUT HERE ON THIS LAND! 😊 You’ll be surprised that will also shew people away from trespassing too. Love your video’s. Keep up the awesome work. ❤

When we had our 400 thousand acres that we farmed. Government came in a destroyed fence and cattle guard, without informing us. Dad fought the government to replace and or repair what they did. Plus they was saying that we didn’t own the property. Mothers family in another state went ill so we sold out, moved to help family. But we still don’t like the Oklahoma government. They did fix it but took 5 year’s, basically when dad switched over to cattle and stopped farming ground

Mum has 3 batteries with their panels. They were having $400 + power bills heating their 6 bdrm 3 bth house. I told them to go solar years back. They pay nothing now plus have a 3 day emergency backup. Last year Ice costed the panels and the power dropped off but they have plans if that happens again.

Hope you get a steal gate and if it is locked get a key for it. Here in Australia, we have National Parks thousands of areas in size with fire trails scattered through them. Trouble is the entrances to them have massive steal gates locked and the fire brigade units state and rural can’t access the trails when there is a bush fire because only the park rangers can open them. A property we had the state electricity crews had one of there padlocks on the chain and we another. That worked a treat for all. You have some great property there for hunting, fishing and now that road has been put through you will need to keep a watchful eye on tresspassers hunting there. Good luck! Cheers👍

Sure they will deny back burn. It could cost them $100's of thousands if it kills your trees.

Mostly this is an infomercial for a solar backup battery system so you can really start watching at 6:37 into. I was able though to take a shot every time he mentioned government tresspassers so it turned out not so bad.

That Anker power system sounds wonderful. However I’m on electric co-op and Any electricity we sell back of them we can only sell it back at their cost not mine. That works out to about four cents a kilowatt hour versus the 14 since I’m paying for it. They also have a Bajillion rules on how you can hook it up.

Keep your part of the fire road clean off, because it will help keep fire from getting on your land. Clean your trails cleaned off, and keep 20 to 40 feet around you house clean from 🍃, and debre

I would suggest you put some orange tape on trees next to the road where the property line is located. Trying to find your property line is too had without some other more visible marking.

Why don't u clear a 8-10 metre buffer on both sides of the fence line , that can be mowed , for a fire break ???
That way anybody can get down both sides to fight fires !!!
Everybody can be kept safe & hunters know where not to go !!!

Ok for those that do not know how fire containment can be done with an intentional fire.
If you can not safely put out an unintended fire directly you go ahead of where it's headed and set controlled burning to "choke out the fire." As it now has no more fuel to keep going past the area you intentionally burned, and sometimes wet the ash, it will burn out and be stopped.
So was the burn along the dozer trail a controlled burn? Most likely yes.
    Was it planned? NO
Was it a necessity without time to alert the land owners? YES
It was the most efficient way to gain control of the wildfire something random caused.
I hope this helps clarify the reasoning for the appearance of a controlled burn setting.
