Prior to Wegovy, the side effects of my weight gain after MVA “outweighed” the possible side effects. Fortunately, I had minimal side effects. Since May 2024, I’ve weaned off Wegovy completely and still maintained my 75 lbs. weight loss with exercise and healthier eating. So agree with you, Wegovy is just a tool but personal responsibility is very important.
Yes, thank you for your comment and likewise I could handle the side effects if it meant me avoiding diabetes. You said it best..”personal responsibility is very important.” I’m so happy that you’ve been able to maintain your weight loss and it helps others to see that weight loss on Wegovy doesn’t have to be short term.
Glad I found you. I am starting wegovy.25 next week. I was approved by insurance last year and was to fearful of the media hype and talk about side effects. I am 66 years old and decided it will be worth giving it a try. Look forward to more of your content.
Thank you so much for your comment and congratulations on planning to start your Wegovy journey. A lot of people have been deterred because they are fearful of the possible side effects but my position is that you’ll never know unless you try it. It does take courage but you may not have any severe side effects! I sincerely hope Wegovy treats you well!💕
@@carlenearchuleta5455 Carlene how’s it going I see you started two weeks ago so you’re adjusting hopefully well we’re all in this together I’m heading to my Golden Years in 45 days these 50 hasn’t been a piece of cake menopause, and all that it brings but I’m hoping that 60 I can be a healthier person than in my 50s I do exercise more and I’m focusing on getting ready for retirement and traveling
I have been careful with what I am eating but have a slight bit of nausea every day. Not enough to make me quit. There has been two days I absolutely had no energy. Taking my second injection tomorrow.
@@carlenearchuleta5455 Carlene make sure you are journaling so you will know what you eat. Sometimes it's the food sip on a lemon if you like lemons they do help with nausea and the only time I was really really without energy I didn't eat a lot that day and I realized I had to put a little bit more protein in there or drink protein drinks when I could at that time I'm going to start back to drinking protein drinks hopefully this weekend
Thank you Kia your videos got me thru my first week yaay😊without any side effects your calm voice is a soothing balm that talked me thru some anxious moments. I'm talking one shot at a time not overthinking it and bought a journal ❤
Thank u so much! I see my doctor next week so that I can begin either Wegovy or Zepbound. I was previously taking Phentermine and I dropped 25 lbs. while on it. Right now, I am in my research mode before my doctor’s appt. Your channel has calmed a lot of my anxiety and unknowns about Wegovy. New subbie 🎉 and I look forward to what you have coming up for us next. You’re correct, weight loss is not easy but consistency and change in eating habits…exercise too, is what it’s all about! 🦋
Hi, congratulations on your 25 pound weight loss 🎊🙌🏽🎉Thank you so much for your comment and for subscribing!! I’m happy you feel a little better about possibly giving Wegovy a try. I’m interested to know which medication you choose. I will definitely be creating more content soon🤗
I got 4 pens in the refrigerator. I keep putting it off outta fear I guess. I've been watching videos and doing googles😂😂😂 In a side note. Girrrrrrlllll I was on phentermine too back in the day. I dropped 40 lbs in a month!😂😂😂 I was in my 20's and very active back then tho.
@@ladyhotep5189 Hi there! Whenever you are ready you’ll go for it or not LOL! You’re doing the best thing which is taking your time to research the medication and its side effects. The worst thing is to just go in blind and hope for the best… it’s brave but I’d advise against it😂 Keep us posted if you decide to take the plunge! Thank you for your comment 💜
For those starting out I didn’t have nausea at all but I have been experiencing clog throat ingestion big time only with the 1.7 things I ate the first four months in month 5/6 I can’t just started eating apples again but never lost my grapefruit taste so here’s to the next 6 months let’s see what it brings thank you for sharing your experience and keeping us encouraged knowing you’d been through this helps me for sure
Absolutely, it hasn’t always been easy but I’m grateful that it has worked out for me. I hope you can keep pushing forward and that the next 6 months are better than the previous ones!!💕
Question anyone notice hair texture I perm my hair every 16 weeks the prior to Saturday I did 15 weeks prior and my perm just did not take this one took good but my hair Texter is just totally different but hey, I guess it is what it is. It’s not coming out so I thank God for that that will be a game changer for me.❤
I appreciate the encouragement. I'm starting week 3 but am experiencing real nausea and dips of energy. I eat clean, have forced myself to workout, and started electrolytes as of today. I just need to know how long before the nausea goes away. It's brutal 😢
Hi, I experienced the same symptoms and I sympathize with you. I struggled with low energy for quite a while unfortunately. The nausea eventually subsided around the 1.7 mg dosage oddly enough. My tiredness went away as well. I feel as if my body has become acclimated to the medication. I no longer have any symptoms. So as difficult it may be to deal with the nausea and tiredness you might find some relief if you keep doing all the great things you’re doing now. If you aren’t already, I suggest drinking lots of water, and include a multivitamin. Be sure that your calorie intake isn’t too low. Also if your calories are low and you’re already tired; exercising can be draining. I would like to suggest walking, stretching, and low intensity workouts until you began to feel better. I hope this helps!!
Try some ginger chews. Already processed foods, seed oils, sugar, and fried greasy foods, and alcohol (fermented sugar) are guaranteed to cause issues. Remember….the food you’re consuming are FERMENTED in your gut. Any additives, chemicals or artificial ingredients are going to be amplified in your gut 🤷🏻♀️
Only Hashimoto hypothyroidism undiagnosed and undiagnosed PCOS caused my weight gain. Tired of doctors treating me as though I’m a fat person from eating poorly and overeating when all I did was eat clean and exercise. I was tiny 110 lbs before my autoimmune disease. Now can’t lose 1 pound no matter what I do. In fact , I don’t eat when I’m upset. I track my food to make sure I’m eating enough calories. Ugh Don’t know what to do?
My heart goes out to you. You truly have a unique situation that impacts your weight loss efforts. It seems like you’re doing all the right things and it’s true often clinicians assume weight gain is caused by poor nutrition. There are more factors for many and of course for people like me it was really me just making unwise and unbalanced food decisions along with an emotional aspect. There have been many persons who’ve lost a significant amount of weight using a semaglutide that have PCOS. Perhaps it may take a little longer to lose the weight but they’ve successfully been able to do so. My hope is that your body cooperates with the medication and all of your amazing effort. I feel for you and I sincerely hope you can reach your weight loss goal. I appreciate your comment💕
I would like to know about caffeine, how did it get along with Wegovy? I daily drink matcha w/milk but I don’t know if that is going to cause me nausea or what about coffee?
Hi, I drink matcha frequently and I have a cup of coffee every day and I have never experienced any nausea or weird side effects. Actually the caffeine helped me get over the hurdle of feeling extremely tired as I stepped up in the dosing. I no longer feel overly tired, my body has completely adapted to the medication.
@@Greater_Expectationsthank you so much for answering my question. I was concerned thinking that I have to stop my matcha intake before starting Wegovy. Although I know everybody is different, I hope that Matcha will help me too to feel energized! Thanks again!
