I took Wegovy for 6 months and lost 60 pounds pretty easily. I had to discontinue it because of the cost. I was ok not taking it for almost a year, until the food noise in my head started returning. I gained back 10 pounds pretty quickly. I’m now on a different GLP-1 which is much more affordable and I’ve already lost not only the 10 pounds I gained, but an additional 20. I’m grateful for these life saving GLP1’s. I will probably be on it, in some form, for the rest of my life.
Hello. I am now on 12.5mg of Mounjaro. I have been taking Mounjaro for 8 months. For me, Mounjaro has given me a lot of energy. I am taking mines for diabetes but I love the weight loss also. I started at 238 lbs, and now I am at 171.
I just started week three of zepbound 2.5 I have lost 8 pounds I eat smaller portions and drink lots of water. My insurance will not longer cover my shots they want us to go to their gym which is free if you go 8 times a month. The only side affect is when I a, done work I fall asleep with 2 hours.
I’ve been on zepbound for a months lost 19pounds I’m eating protein packed meals with also buying healthy snacks and eating fruits for snacks. One thing weight loss does expressed to me is being consistent. I would hate for you have to be on the shot forever just because of some snacking you got this boo ❤
Yeah a month after I stop taking Tirzepatide that's when the food noise starting slowly coming back and I thought for sure I would be able to control it, since I had did so well and loss 75 lbs before I started taking the weight loss medication. But as time passed the food noise kept getting stronger and it seem like I was hungry every 15 -30 mins, I stayed of for 4 months and gained back 10 of the 14 lbs that I loss taking the Tirzepatide, 😢and I truly can't afford to gain all my weight back. So Oct 24 I started back taking the Tirzepatide, but instead of starting at 2.5mg I started at 1.5mg this time, I'm doing good so far Praise God 🙏 praying I can continue without getting sick again. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing! Yes I appreciate having this as an option but I know the food noise is going to be a huge factor. Trying to implement lifestyle changes along the way 💕
Let me tell you the struggle is real and it always will be. What I’m afraid of is going broke! 😂😂. Medicare doesn’t cover it. I’m really focusing on pushing the protein and water. Glad I found your channel. ❤
Were you taking the name brand Zepbound or the compounded version of Terzipitide ? Sometimes the compounded version has different things in them that might not agree with us.
The way insurance is cutting off covering this medication . I hope you still picked up your monthly meds (Zepbound ) while you wait for your next doctor appointment.
Hi! I’m 5’8 and now 163. It looks pretty slim on me which is crazy because I was aiming for 150 because my best weight was 140-145 in the past. HOW TALL ARE YOU?? I find it interesting how weight looks different on everyone.
Hi! Yes it’s so crazy how weight looks on every one! I think it runs in my family because my son is very slim and he is almost 85lbs at 10! He is very solid like me. I am almost 5’8 and was 193 when I stopped zepbound. At my smallest I was like 180-185 and very slim! I wouldn’t really wanna be smaller than that
Hey Keisha wishing you the best of luck! It sounds like you got off too abruptly and are just going back to your old habits. Of course you will gain all the weight back. if you dont want that please reconsider and try to eat clean while you are off of the meds! You seem really nonchalant about the weigh gain and doing things like eating cereal. I mean what’s the point for me to follow your journey if you do something like this? I literally weigh and track my food when a few pounds creep up and plan to do a variation of this long term. I hope to taper off in January/February and I do not want to gain the weight back. I really think you can get back on track but you need a mindset shift m,after all your hard work it would be sad to gain it all back.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I definitely don’t claim to be on a perfect journey but simple sharing my experience and MY journey. If it’s not for you I get it. Best of luck to you 💕
@ yes I wish you the best and much success!! You’re given me great advice on the glp journey and I very much hope you have long term success whatever that entails for you!
My doctor said due to the drugs nature, there is no reason to slowly titrate down if you wish to quit, I am starting to spread out my injections as my insurance is making it difficult for me starting in january, I have some decisions to make, but I have a 90 day supply and if stretching it will get me a few months, Its super scary. I so no not want to gain it back and working on my habits strongly to avoid it as much as possible
I would not listen to them. I followed a ton of influencers on TH-cam who have successfully gotten off this drug and not gained any of theweight back. Yes the food noise comes back and Yes they have to work much harder to stay at their weight, but they are determined to do so. Absolutely all of them titrated down slowly to a very low maintenance dose and eventually were able to stop completely. That’s my goal as well. If it’s your goal, and you have good habits, nothing will stop you. Stopping cold turkey seems like a guaranteed way to regain all the weight as quickly as possible, and it’s very stressful to think of someone putting themselves through it unless they need to..
@@keepingupwithkeishabut u thought the doctor you went to confirmed the thyroid was not swollen? Or can cause swelling in the throat? I would hope your doctor would have caught anything that was wrong (which is NOT to invalidate your own sense that something was wrong and you needed to stop! I just worry about not being able to taper off and then regaining it all with bad habits).
Sounds like you for sure have a GLP-1 deficit. Ask your physician about a maintenance dose or switching you to a by mouth dose. A patch is definitely needed for longterm use (not available yet). Remember there is no cure for obesity. Treatment is a long game. The research done by the companies that sell these drugs know the Cinderella story, the weight will come back and then some.

What’s food noise? Are your ears sensitive when you eat food?
Watch skinny Keisha! Love it

you look great sis!
Thank you so much 😀
I’ve taken the BGV and they are delish and effective
That’s awesome! They are really yummy and have helped with my energy. I’m excited to try some of the other products
Hi Keisha! You look great! Thank you for the update! I pray all goes well with your Dr. appointment!
Thank you so much! 💕
Could be something having to do with esophagus stomach or throat not necessarily the thyroid
Were you taking the name brand Zepbound or the compounded version of Terzipitide ? Sometimes the compounded version has different things in them that might not agree with us.
I actually started on compound Tirzepatide and then went to Zepbound
The way insurance is cutting off covering this medication . I hope you still picked up your monthly meds (Zepbound ) while you wait for your next doctor appointment.
I didn’t even think about that girl! Thanks for the tip!
5lbs is amazing!! Are you starting back soon?
I plan on it if I get the go ahead from my new pcp! I’ll update yall next week after my appointment 💕
Hi Keisha
I’ve reached my goal weight, now on monthly injections of 2.5mgs and drop to every 3mths then stop completely
Congratulations!
I love my Zepbound, but I can’t afford it any longer. Big pharma is so greedy. I wish these meds were lower in cost.

Am 5’8 and now 175 that’s my goal, I was 204. My Doctor told me not to go any lower than that.
I'm 5'4" and 180 was like a size 16 for me! I wish I was taller 😢😢😢😢
Aww I understand but you definitely can’t compare! Everyone carries weight differently 💕

Thank you for sharing and for the information!
Over how much time
When you talk about glp1 and thyroids are you talking about cancer?
Cancer is a very rare case but the fluctuations in thyroid can cause swelling
@ so the glp1 is causing fluctuations?
Are you diabetic ? Because just stopping can send you back into a super high A1C

I do get that throat feeling at day 3-4 of my shot. I think its from dry mouth and I feel not hungry. Lol
Ohh interesting! Definitely share that with your doctor

Iron contributes to constipation
Are you taking blood pressure medications?or any other medications that could cause that side effect in the throat.
No the only thing that I started taking was Calcium supplements. But I stopped as soon as I started to notice the difference
Just eat big portions of healthier foods
