Jobs like plumbing, baking, childcare, practical nursing, pharmacy tech. Try to avoid Ontario, too expensive and rent is high.

I'm not Canadian as yet and seeing the long lines of people at the job fair irritated me. I guess its knowing that many of those people are not even authorized to work in the country but they get a travel visa and show up in Canada to compete with those who are authorized to work. Stay at your country and don't come and make things harder for those who are already here.

Just seen your video for the first time today.
Subscribe half way through. Came here in the mid 80's even then some immigrants complained about the system. Canada 🇨🇦 has been very good to me and my family. I hold this great nation in the highest esteem. I worked hard and continue to improve myself over the years. No one gave me anything fir free. Being in a fair society with well laid out social system was enough for me. Hope to meet you in person one day.

Thank you for explaining to everyone out there, that Canada is still a good country to reside in. Patience, Good Courage, Wisdom in Planning, Faith in our Almighty God, Humility, Diligence and Perseverance are the keys 🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️ required for one to eventually succeed well in Canada, as long as it is for a good cause. It's all about timing. In fact, everything in life is also all based on timing and choice(s) one makes. Time to gain more good work experiences, time to build good network work connections, time to invest well, time to create a good legacy such as opening one's good business, etc. As long as it is for a good cause. Peace 🕊️ and God bless...

I compare such folks to someone who gets admitted to someone's house because he is homeless, given food and other necessities but then he turns around and rapes the daughter of the man who helped him.

The issue today is that *brand Canada* is finding it difficult to retain the immigrants.
There is a lot of comparison and choice happening in this Internet age.
A recent article in the Canadian papers (look it up) showed stats that the number of immigrants getting Canadian citizenship has gone down. This indicated a strong decline in the "market value of becoming Canadian".
    Excerpt:
The proportion of permanent residents who acquired Canadian citizenship after they met the residency requirement has decreased from 75 per cent in 1996 to just 46 per cent in 2021.
No matter which way you look at it, it's clear that Canada's appeal in the eyes of immigrants is fading.

Chorkor, Job Fairs across board in the northern hemisphere are organised through registration. Thus, the Job Fair is publicised and people are ASKED to register before trooping to the corridor of the fair so as not to overwhelm the program. This is a norm throughout Europe as well. I have been in Belgium for over 33 years now and the Job Fairs are organised twice across the whole country at the beginning of March and again in September. So, ignore those who are spreading the video with a negative narrative about Canada. Peace out!

Regarding 36:00 when a federal government does something, it's like they used blunt instruments. It's impossible for them to fine-tune these programs at the federal level. That's why you see these sudden policy shifts that literally shut off the spigot to people hoping to apply for certain programs.

I disagree with you. It's not about painting Canada in a bad light or being disgraceful for the benefits that Canada offers. It's about telling the TRUTH to people back home who may be sacrificing everything and be giving up a good lifestyle or a good job believing that Canada is better place.
I have been here for 22 years and it has been great to me. But nowadays it's no longer worth it for me. That's why I am planning to return home to Africa.
If you're black or brown, you have as good a chance to succeed back home nowadays than you do in Canada and a big part of it is systemic racism. You will see that in the beginning of the video, most of the people in the line-up were black and brown people. Sure, despite that, with hard work and dedication you will slowly move up the ladder, but why go thru that struggle IF you are already doing well back home.
Canada is only better than the developing world if in your home country you are poor or in the lower middle class. If you are in the upper middle class or higher back home, you would be better off staying there. Cost of living here is high, housing hard to find and expensive, and jobs pay poorly relative to US. So, immigrants will find themselves having a hard time making ends meet. In Toronto where I live, you would still struggle with a $100,000 salary. You need at least $150,000 salary to be comfortable and how many people earn that?
In my view, the only good reasons to immigrate to Canada nowadays is:
    - to seek refuge because you fear for your safety
    - you are very poor back home
    - to get world class education and/or training and then RETURN HOME
    - to get a respected passport and then RETURN HOME
    - to get respected work experience and then RETURN HOME
As to your comments on health care, it's not free. You pay for it thru your taxes.
The land of opportunity is in the developing world because there are UNMET needs on pretty much everything and everything needs to be build. But to do well there you have to be an entrepreneur NOT an employee

You have some great points. I struggled to find the disagreement though. Did I say something specifically in the video that you disagree with?
I'll be happy to hear those.

Some people complain too much. If we feel the place is not great we can always go back home. Aaaaba.
