Awesome bowl you made! The sheen to that lovely grain is so wonderful. And that infeastation- I'm glad you took care of it the right way! Well turned! Cheers from Sweden! 🤩❤❤❤👍
Lovin it. Nice to see someone who is using a little creativity other than just turning a bowl. Love to watch it's transformation when you start polishing. Nice job.
Well the cedar is beautiful and the shape with the resin ring is very attractive...the bats are ok..but the spiders !...I'll be stomping on that bowl !..lol...yeah...I'm a spider killer...not your average screaming woman..I hunt them down with laser focus... Very beautiful Moonman...well done..miss your commentary and the socially awkward music..👍😉...later big guy...🌿🌿🌿
Very well done. Love the extra deep pour so you could turn it to the shape you wanted without scraping the inlaid items. (I've seen so many turners cut into their buried items, so many times). The wood turned out beautifully, and the shatoiance showing through the resin is quite beautiful also. Over all, an outstanding outcome, in anyone's book. A great addition to the Halloween collection. I know your wife isn't letting this one go anywhere either. 😉
@@MoonpieCreations ha ha ha, fears and phobias can be weird sometimes. Plastic spiders trapped in resin, but just the reminder of spiders are still "bad" 😨😱
How about one more halloween bowl with three colors of resin. Vintage colors orange, green purple and plack and for the wood use cherry? That would look really nice I think.
I noticed it looked like your epoxy with the spiders could pass light through it? If so, I wonder how cool it'd look if you had a LED strip running under the lip out of sight shining Halloween themed lights up through your Halloween themed epoxy! =D
Very nice, I've enjoyed all of your Halloween projects. I also couldn't help but notice that your bandsaw has the correct colours for the season, and it's too good a coincidence not to amuse me.
What an amazing bowl! It's the best Halloween themed bowl I've ever seen! If you've put it up for sale & it's still there when I get my money, it will be my bowl!
Margaret, The person that was going to purchase this bowl backed out due to life issues. If you are still interested I'll discount the bowl for you. Email me at moonpiecreations2014@gmail.com for pricing. Before I put it up on my site.
Great project. Did you intentionally do multiple pours or did you underestimate the amount you needed to cover the spooky things? Any witness lines? Tough to estimate in that kind of shape.
Haha, this one came from the spiders that were on my porch. I was sitting there trying to come up with another video and them when I was watching one make a web. Boom it hit me how the bowl should look. My mind works weird.
Hey Scott, I am not sure what kind of cedar it is. My uncle brought it down from West Virginia abot 6 years ago. This was the pith and I am using another piece as an over flow bowl right now.
That is so cute. The wood is gorgeous. Love love love it. Job well done. 💕😊💕🤗💕
Thanks so much! 😊

@@MoonpieCreations well I get that, as long as the spiders and bats are plastic I'm okay with it too. Boys are a completely different animal hahahaha

The wood is beautiful, and I love the shape. IDK why you opted to be silent, but missed hearing you share your thoughts.
Sorry!, wasn't feeling it and needed to get the video done and up loaded.
That turned out great!
Thank you Leigh
That is a beautiful design - spider and bat-they are OK. Now hummingbirds and butterflies would’ve been fantastic. Just my opinion.😁😁
My Mom would totally agree!

Thanks Bill. Just wasn't feeling it on this one.

Is that for the candy?
It sure is.

Brilliant!
Thanks Shaun. I was pretty happy with it seeing it was an after thought idea.
Nice one, Ken!
Glad you enjoyed it
When I read the title I never even considered plastic spiders. I was thinking “how is he going to turn a cast bat?”
Hahaha, hmmmmmm, I wonder.....hahahah just kidding
Very nice Ken.
Thank you Doug.
Wow outstanding work
Thank you
For a future project, is there a way to have a resin rim without any wood underneath?
Thanks for the comment Janna. There sure it. I have another video, not sure what it's called.
Very Cool Ken!
Thanks Steve
Great project. Did you intentionally do multiple pours or did you underestimate the amount you needed to cover the spooky things? Any witness lines? Tough to estimate in that kind of shape.
Yes I did mean to do multiple pours. There is a slight witness line but it's on the side and not very noticeable.
LOVE IT! I would actually use it not just at Halloween but all during the year! Hey I am weird like that, grins.
Lol thank you.
That is really cool, now all you nee to do is fill it up with Halloween candy.
YES!!!!!
That is scary awesome!!!!!
Thank you.
You forgot to play the music when you poured so I sang it in my head otherwise a wickedly cool scary bowl
Haha, awesome. But I have bed news. It's not in next weeks video either. 😔
Looks GREAT. Did you use Total Boat, slow??? Did you use a torch on the bubbles???
Hey Wayne. I used TotalBoat 2:1 Slow and a torch for the bubbles.
Love love love it!!! ❤️

Lol..where do you come up with these ideas ... its beautiful ..

Spooky cool!!
Thanks.
Ok no narration so, is that red cedar? Looks amazing. I am hearing Jack Skellington singing This is Halloween, This is Halloween in my head.
Hey Scott, I am not sure what kind of cedar it is. My uncle brought it down from West Virginia abot 6 years ago. This was the pith and I am using another piece as an over flow bowl right now.

Thank you Nicole
Very cool. Did you have any issues with the decorations floating?
I no used Starbond to tack them down. The glitter pieces did float bit that was my plan.
@@MoonpieCreations Thanks, the glitter pieces were what I was wondering about. My question wasn’t very clear.
I let them float on the first resin pour then they stayed in place on the second
