Honestly, yes. Would love to hear his assessment of Gary Busey's "stinky cheese" on the HR pitch, and then the kid yeeting it back, as well as a few of his other pitches. Plus, Randy Johnson was in that movie, wasn't he?
😂 I do like how they play in thunderstorms to blend in the cracks of the bat However as a baseball man myself I was chuckling when reading it. No baseball could withstand that power 😂 the ball would be dust
“Look at the carry on that dwarf” is crazy with no context😂 Uncle Rico was also a baseball player in real life, and I read something that said he had to put some velo behind his throws and squared him up good
My brother-in-law and I made a short film. In one scene he had to throw a cup of coffee onto a car. But, his character was supposed to be a bit of a nerd. The issue was that he was actually a really good college-level catcher. It took 10 takes to get him to throw that cup as if he wasn't throwing out a runner at second. You know when you know.
On subject of baseball in movies, Hideki Matsui appears in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002). He dosen't throw in the movie, but his iconic nickname is still Godzilla for good reason!
There was a completely missed opportunity with Tom Cruise playing catch with his son in War of the Worlds. Some terrible throwing mechanics. My Dad and I joke about it all the time
Nothing ruins my watching experience more than a person who can't throw a fucking ball properly. We need a full "baseball movie throwing motions" breakdown.
In Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe was throwing a lightweight stick into the wind. Expecting perfect pitching form for one half of a stick is pretty ridiculous.
I have read that after casting Ted Danson as Sam Malone, a retired Sox reliever, the producers of Cheers checked out his throwing motion..... Which was so bad, they resolved never to show it on camera. Apparently Mr. Danson was more of a Basketball player...
One obvious option would be Colin Farrel in the Ben Affleck Daredevil. Then there's Kostner in "For the Love of the Game". As a sneaky option, I was watching Spider Man No Way home and there's a moment where Zendaya has to throw a macguffin thingy and I thought those mechanics actually look solid
I know the comment section of TH-cam is not the place for me to air out my grievances, but you hit a nerve and I will absolutely, even proudly, die on this hill- Jack CHOSE not to get on the door because he gave it a try and quickly realized that it wasn't an issue of surface area, of course the door has plenty of space. It was an issue of buoyancy. It's amazing that the door was able to stay afloat at all, considering that it was already loaded down with hardware and gilding and all of the useless ornate crap they put on it because it was a luxury liner. Even the act of climbing aboard might have allowed too much water over the top to allow the door to remain floating at all, even if it were somehow miraculously able to stay buoyant with the additional weight of a Hollywood heartthrob on it. I'm sick of this narrative that Rose didn't let Jack on the door... he was a brave king who understood the delicate balance of material density and he sacrificed himself so that his lover would live.
Shout out to Rich Hill! He won me a bet with a friend one year and the friend had to buy me u limited beers in the Wrigley bleachers for a game. I later vomitted all over the sidewalk outside the park in front of hundreds of people 😂😂
Been starting to reg catch your channel and think u have gotten so much better now that you have done for while I'm subscribing And liking you got me waiting for the next episode every time I sign in. Let's start getting some mlb players exec and umps past present and future on your show. If u want that is lol
@@TrevorMayBaseball that should be amazing, i love your subject, editing ,perspective . can't wait to see more. It seems like you really enjoy this and that is great . Jim NYC
I'd give Charlie Sheen bonus points for his follow though.... +100000. Ha, love that movie. The Rookie is another of my favorites, might have used one of the scenes where he was at the try-outs. Where were Field of Dreams and For the love of the game??? Costner overload, maybe??
This was on my YT homepage and I thought, okay I'll give it a watch expecting a serious rating and then.....I got something 1000000000000 times better!!!!!!!!
Can we get the best, nastiest, maybe disrespectful, pitcher celebrations of all time? Enough bat flips, I need more Joe Kelly type shit in my offseason 😂.
I was really hoping to see you rate the stretchy arm fastball of the kid from Rookie of the Year, LOL! After that, hit me with some of the gals from A League of Their Own. I know some of them looked pretty good, and a few might have been sub par.
I'm so a smalls... never learn to throw. Somehow had a period of 2 weeks in which it worked brilliantly, but then lost it... I'll never say I throw like a girl, because I'm not that good.
Cap throws his should a bunch of different ways. And remember his super strength. He can throw a baseball much harder than a normal guy can. He dan throw around 150 to 200 mph. Give me that guy in my rotation
I think it would only be fair to rate these throws if you also rate yourself within their expertise. How's Trevor May's wizarding? Also let's put a little extra forgiveness on that Maverick throw for it taking place on a moving aircraft carrier.
breaking down fictional shit in hollywood has no impact on reality. fictional shit doesnt matter and isnt real. doesnt matter how good an actor looked while ACTING
Fun fact: Charlie Sheen used to pitch and play shortstop in high school, so that's why his mechanics look so good
He apparently took steroids and was able to throw low 90s for the movie. That was around league average at the time.
He was really good, 2x California All State in high school, and turned down a full scholarship offer to play at the University of Kansas.
They also said he would throw over 100 pitches a day during filming
@@Biggles_metswith or without sleeves?
@@andrewhawkins6754 no steroids, that's straight Tiger Blood.
The fact that there wasn't a Rookie of the Year clip talked about is a damn travesty
Honestly, yes. Would love to hear his assessment of Gary Busey's "stinky cheese" on the HR pitch, and then the kid yeeting it back, as well as a few of his other pitches. Plus, Randy Johnson was in that movie, wasn't he?
Vids like this prove that being Trevor May’s teammate in the show would have been fun AF!!
Robin Williams firing a lime at the back of the head of Pierce Brosnan calling it a "run by fruiting" in Mrs. Doubtfire
‘It’s ok guys…he becomes a broadcaster.’ I laughed out loud.
insane that you didn't include the baseball scene in twilight. pure talent and +10 style points for the most dramatic leg kick in cinematic history
Bronson Arroyo esque
😂 I do like how they play in thunderstorms to blend in the cracks of the bat
However as a baseball man myself I was chuckling when reading it. No baseball could withstand that power 😂 the ball would be dust
"I'm a nerd dude" while wearing a dnd magic missile shirt like we didn't know 😂
I somehow missed that 👓
“Look at the carry on that dwarf” is crazy with no context😂
Uncle Rico was also a baseball player in real life, and I read something that said he had to put some velo behind his throws and squared him up good
If you don't roast Tony Danza for Angels in the outfield, then what are we doing here
Hey, Kevin Costner. Field of Dreams.
EDIT: No, make that "For Love of the Game" - lots of pitches in that movie (and a perfect game!).
Henry Gardenhoser from ROTY!!
After him, he should feature Rosenbagger!
Henry Runamucker
Rougabater

Funny this video was created of the harry potter throwing the wand over a cliff, you know baseball throwing is rent free in his brain from that😂😂😂
Have to rate Kutt Russell's knife throwing "reflexes" in Big Trouble in Little China. He was a minor leaguer.
You gotta do just all of the pitchers from major league.
On subject of baseball in movies, Hideki Matsui appears in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002). He dosen't throw in the movie, but his iconic nickname is still Godzilla for good reason!
Didn't know that
Pretty cool
Malibu Sheriff in "the Big Lebowski" or paint can in "Hot Fuzz"
OH LETS GO

Most of these werent people throwing balls anyway, what are we doing?
Thank you for your work Trevor!
Mr Incredible throwing Mrs Incredible
Another crazy fact about that Napoleon Dynamite scene is that Uncle Rico could really throw a pig skin over them mountains.
1:57 IS THIS A SIDEARM(sforreason) reference 😭
In Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe was throwing a lightweight stick into the wind. Expecting perfect pitching form for one half of a stick is pretty ridiculous.
And he was standing on a wall and didn't have room to make a proper stance.
Cant believe you're here in the comments a week before Christmas, daniel!
where’s buddy the elf and the snowball scene. easily a 10000/80
Also amazing!
The fact Henry Rowengardners floater to win the game for the cubs isn’t on this list feels criminal
Professional!!!!! Ha!!!! Jealous of his brother Dustin is what the title really is!!!!!!

Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Holy Hand Grenade toss is Phil Niekroesque.

Steve Rogers is a baseball fan. He'd be able to throw a ball well. How he throws his shield is closer to the style of discus throwing in the Olympics.
You should break down Freddie Prinze Jr's pitching in Summer Catch. (Awful)
Also, Costner in For Love of the Game. (Pretty solid)
Charlie Sheen threw from 10 feet closer to make it look faster... What about the knife throw by Mr. Crabs in Starship Troopers?
This was on my YT homepage and I thought, okay I'll give it a watch expecting a serious rating and then.....I got something 1000000000000 times better!!!!!!!!
Maverick in the OG Top Gun has the worst throw when he throws the dog tags off the carrier
Was the wand CGI added, and he had to go through the throwing motion empty-handed?
Getting older is realizing rose was the villain the whole time
Like last time, I dont know what we accomplished, but it was a lot. Cant wait for the next one.
But you read my mind with this video, I actually think about the actor's mechanics every time I see a throw in a movie
To be fair, Daniel Radcliffe is British, and they don't throw baseballs.
And harry aint a baseball player as well are we forgetting that?
To be fair to Harry Potter, his actor has probably never thrown a baseball in his life. At least up to that point.
Can we get the best, nastiest, maybe disrespectful, pitcher celebrations of all time? Enough bat flips, I need more Joe Kelly type shit in my offseason 😂.

If you do part 2 look up the baseball toss in Twilight or one of the sequels or the football toss from the movie The Duff
Johnny Utah, you were a big-time college football QB, chuck that badge like it's a hail Mary! I'm just begging for Ohio State hate here, right?
Rose's throw also traveled the farthest distance, about 12500 feet!
Forget the haters, this was absolutely hilarious.
Gonna be suspicious when Tom Cruise’s next movie is a baseball movie…
tom cruise never beating the allegations
If you are to include a spear throw by Leonidas in 300, it seems criminal to not include a very similar, if not better, throw by Achilles in Troy
I'm so a smalls... never learn to throw. Somehow had a period of 2 weeks in which it worked brilliantly, but then lost it... I'll never say I throw like a girl, because I'm not that good.
the pronation on the spear throw tho
Henry Rowengartner dude!
How about Tom Cruise throwing a strike to Stilwell's face in "A League Of Their Own"?
Anything from Bull Durham or old school The Natural
To be fair to Daniel Radcliffe, he was too busy during childhood making billion dollar movies to play much sports.
Damn. No Jerry McGuire throw for the kid at the end?
If you get em all in the first go... how could there be a part 2?
THANK YOU -- this shit irrationally bothers me too lol
Non athletes throwing balls like non athletes bothers you😢😢😢

Aragorn is the greatest to ever play the game!!
Harry’s a seeker not a chaser 😂 I have no knowledge of him having to throw anything in the books. 😂 maybe here and there. During quidditch and stuff
Rowengartner.
No Kevin Costner? Sadge.

What a silly video. Part 2 please

Tom cruise has a series of terrible throws.
