I wasn't around for Beyond, but by the reviews I saw, a lot of people said it was a needed update but wasn't exciting at all, and the fact that pillar 3 had so much hype about what it would be was a let down when people realized it was just quality of life stuff. Btw there is a point to cooking since Endurance. You can now feed your living frigates stuff you cook and each one changes their stats depending on what they eat. It's something at least.
I can't remember being plagued by any issue when the update came out, I loved it since I am an early psvr adopter and I had dreamt for 3 years to play my favorite new game in vr (hope the February update brings new shiny things to pcvr too, since I've switched back to a PC rig instead of consoles a year later and I'm not gonna get ps5 soon). But I understand how people not into vr and/or multiplayer would be underwhelmed, the rest of the fearures were qol at best, forgettable at worst, but can you immagine the game without the Anomaly like it is now? That's the main underrated feature of the update.
I agree with the space combat being to easy, I wish there was more depth to it. Even on the hardest combat dificulty it’s just a chore to dogfights , I’m really hoping they overhaul space combat next and maybe make all freighters destructible? Not just the sentinel ones
Why do people feel they have to speak of the bad in everything? Especially since it's not a fact. Sometimes that energy is draining and unnecessary. I guess a lot of people are in a miserable place so they like to go there and view farm. Every time youtube suggest videos with titles like this I block or tell them not to recommend. smh
I know! I was not a huge fan of waypoint, but the amount of content creators milking how upset they’re were rubbed me the wrong way. Everyone can express their opinion but sometimes it’s so obvious their pandering to the negativity bias on TH-cam

We will see soon what the PSVR2 brings! I agree, these features may not have been the flashiest but they are fundamental to the game as it is now

The space combat is too easy, but the FPS with a controller pad is a nightmare. Both aspects make the game boring to me.
