    Surecan has been my go to for about 10 years when they first hit the market. I've never wished I could find something better.
    Get one! There's no competitor even close.
    I broke the hose off mine and just capped the elbow with a 1/2" pvc cap and it still works perfectly.

    I ordered three of these cans a couple of years ago. They have been Great for me to use while camping in the mountains.
    I set a can on a small fold-up camp table next to the gas tank spout for my toy- Hauler for the generator and to fill up my Polaris razor with the fuel pump built into the trailer.
    It's been very easy for that type of filling and it's much easier then holding the can while pouring fuel in where it's needed.
    They still work great with only one small problem with the cap on the top of one can wanting to "pop" off while filling the can at the fuel station.
    The round ball on the cap pops loose if i don't pay close attention to it while filling. Otherwise they've been GREAT.
    I ordered them online from the company, i believe, and they were $60 bucks each so the price is more expensive than a "traditional " can but is much easier to use for me. 👍🇺🇸

    Let me just say, I bought this by mistake a few years ago because I used to use “No-Spill” brand cans and I loved them. Grabbed this at my local rental shop and damn these things are fantastic! They are and will be the cans I buy from here out. Ive started to replace my “other cans” with these because eventually the “other cans” outer layer splits and separates from the interior liner. I own two mowing companies and you can imagine I have a bunch of cans. And when you go through the DOT check points they inspect your cans and fine you if it starts to separate. I’ve had no issues with these cans at all. I know they’re a little salty but they last forever and save you money in the long run. My guys aren’t easy on things. They get tossed around, they forget to close the tailgates, I’ve seen them thrown from truck to fuel pumps (not happy bout that) but these things don’t care, they’re tough as hell. I have a few women that work for me and they can sit them on the zero turn mower seats or tractor hoods and not have to hold them while fueling. If SureCan is looking to sponsor someone who will show people what they go through and survive just drop me a line.

    They're definitely not something that's new I've had a 5 gallon gas 5 gallon yellow diesel and a 5 gallon blue kerosene cans for over 2 years I purchased them at my local fleet farm store definitely a great product for anybody that's worried about the spout leaking because it's on the bottom of the jug I haven't had any trouble One thing I don't like about them know is their spring loaded filler cap when I fill them I just unscrew the cap off of it it's much easier to do I would definitely recommend them to anybody that is looking for a gas jug or diesel jug or kerosene jug by far the best on the market

  • @kevinverble6416
    @kevinverble6416 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    How does it vent while your pouring? The vent on the rear of the old jug does that. But it looks like you would have hold open the lid of the filler for venting. So now you need two hands just to get gas pouring efficiently. If you need to hold the jug at the same time, your SOL. I don't like the old jugs anymore than anyone else but I'm not convinced this is better.

    • @DownSouth_Adventures
      @DownSouth_Adventures  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The vent continuously vents so there’s no need to ever burp the can. You clearly see me using only one hand to pour gas and honestly for the past four weeks we’ve been able to pour gas with just two fingers. This can is an absolute dream to use.

    • @kevinverble6416
      @kevinverble6416 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DownSouth_Adventures I can see that the vent vents outward but what about inward when you're pouring? It looks like the flap over the vent might seal from the inward pressure and you would either have slow pours with it having to take in air through the spout or you would have to hold open the flap.

    The weak point of that can is the swivel at the gas spout. Over time using it it will leak more and more at the swivel joint at the bottom of the can. And once it leaks it will drain the entire can as the leak is at the bottom. You might not even notice it until you go to pick up the can to use it and it is empty. My gas is stored in a remote shed not in sight of every day use. Most irritating thing to me is to go to use something you need and it is empty and you need to go into town to get more. Your first hour of your project is wasted now running to get something you thought you already had. And worse that can is leaking and you need fuel now. So you now have to buy a new can as you can not wait for a replacement part to fix the can you have. And the can that was full with 30 dollars of gas is now spilled and wasted. Best can ever? Or worst can ever? I would say best can ever until it fails unexpectedly. Then worst can ever.

    Plastic fuel cans do not prevent the light ends of gasoline from disappearing in as little as 30 days. Poor fuel quality will arise. Did a basic experiment with high octane fuel and metal sealable 15 gallon drum. Filled all the way up in the late 70’s, with high octane. Fast forward to 1990. Opened the drum and the fuel was fresh and ready to go. Used it in a lawn mower and a three wheeler, both ran perfectly. I only use the metal “Jerry” military Blitzkrieg type cans for fuel storage. The plastic ones are for weekends only.

    I have one of these cans and I don't recommend it. The last of the gas does not come out so you need to remove the top and pour with a funnel. It also gets a little difficult to use when you can't rest it while pouring like on that tractor. When i fill my atv it really tires out my hand. If they were cheaper, I'd say they would worth it compared to the junk cans at walmart. But the better and cheaper alternative is to buy a cheap can at walmart and a flexible nozzle with vent cheap on temu and it will be much easier to use for less money

    Good video. I have this can. And it is better than others. But actually, these plastic cans are not approved gas cans. They are actually not safe. We can’t use these in a workplace environment as they are not even OSHA approved. (Look it up) The good thing about that is we have to use the metal gas cans. And yes, they still make those good ol metal cans are grandfather used. They are great cans with good spouts. And they are approved to store gas. I would recommend looking at the old metal ones. They really are much better. And much safer. Which is important.
