    Lots of you have been asking for this kit, the Potentiometer that we use on this kit has been on backorder for months now. We promise to make a video and release it with the different types of kits once we have them. Thanks for subscribing and watching Cart Smart TV

    Have you got a parts list for all you did? I know the parts may be on backorder but with a list I could start to look around at potential options? Thanks

    Great Job man I love old DS carts. Quick question if I may.. . I've got a 1960 "Turf Rider IV" golf cart with the original 36v DC motor (GE) that is strong and quiet. Unfortunately I can't tell what is wrong with the "controller" and when I say controller I mean 3 resister coils a 8 relay solenoids that are connected to a "throttle box" ... and when I say throttle box I mean an exposed ascending series of brass tabs that come in contact with a solid brass bar on the Go pedal linkage.
    Is there any way to use a modern controller with the old GE motor? Thanks!

    • @cartsmarttv
      @cartsmarttv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In most of those carts we start with the primary solenoid (drivers side). We could help you over the phone if you have a volt meter. 276.632.8905

    Quick question. Fairly new to this and looking to make some changes to my wife’s grandmother’s ‘89, as it has sentimental value, but isn’t able to adequately pull the hills in her neighborhood. I seem to have located the kit on your site, but my question is on the 36v to 48v conversion. A) is that necessary B) what is the benefit and C) what parts are needed to make that swap
    Thanks in advance!

    • @cartsmarttv
      @cartsmarttv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello sir the controller is compatible with either 36v or 48v battery pack if you have 36v battery pack it is not necessary to change to 48v. The benefit is better operation of the cart more power for pulling(not crazy amount) where it would be unsafe to ride for an elderly woman to ride, plus it bring the cart up to date with the newer style technology( easier to get part for repair if ever needed. I hope this helps and give us a call we can help you get the proper kit for installation and the only extra parts you will need are some self tapping screws. call the number on the website for any additional help.

    Does a 1990 club car ds have the same solenoid system? Found a 36v one that "only needs batteries" according to the seller. I don't care much about speed but I need torque. Small hills, bumps, pulling deer and hogs out of the woods and using it for filling feeders etc. It's a cool little cart for$1200. Wondering if it would be worth it? Or more work and $$ than just buying a newer one.

    • @cartsmarttv
      @cartsmarttv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It might be ok but, once you add $6-700 in batteries you're close to 2k and might come out better getting a newer solid state cart??

      OK so there are several different price ranges it all depends on what you want it to do this particular cart was beefed up pretty good and he was just under $3000 but again this cart had high speed motor and 600amp controller roughly stock price is $1600 give or take a few hundred we are in the process of getting a parts list made for stock setups.
