Unless I missed something, I noticed yours doesn't have a micro switch for the contact 'arm' to 'hit' and yours seems to use all 5 contacts, where mine only uses the top 4 and never comes in contact with the bottom 'coilless' contact. Is this normal? Mine has a micro switch that engages at 0% throttle and kills power while resting on contact #2 (from the bottom).when I press the throttle, it releases that micro switch and allows the cart to move. Any idea why mine would never touch that bottom contact and what that contact does? Also, my micro switch buzzes in reverse with key on or off, the actual buzzer it's supposed to have is disconnected. The cart was burned up and a spider web of wiring when I got it so just trying to clean it up and make sense of it all.
@ShiftEnvy mine now has a micro switch as well, not having that is what burned up my board in the first place. The last/unused contact is just there for a resting place. The sliding contactor would never be able to ramp up onto the first contact point without that there.
@@BrandonsGarage perfect! Thank you. Mine never reaches or rests on that last contact, so I must need to adjust the microswitch to let the arm 'fall' a bit more. I appreciate the reply! I'm betting that's why mine originally burnt up, also, as the switch didn't seem to function until I rewired.
I want to replace the sensor without replacing the board. It's because the wire is bad. Someone has taped it up in the past. It looks like you had to take the whole board out to replace yours. I was hoping there was some way to do it without pulling the whole board out. Mine is an 85 ezgo marathon
My Cart will only got about 2mph until the pedal is pressed about 80% of the way, then it jolts forward. The contractors seem to be worn a but in the middle. Do you think this could fix my issue?
@BrandonsGarage thank you. I looked closer at the contactors and the wiper arm, and it's pretty chewed up. I'll start there, and if that doesn't fix it, I'll move on to the coils next. Appreciate the response!
@BrandonsGarage replaced the contactors and the swiper arm. Still doing it. I did notice tho after riding for about 15 seconds, 1 of the coils got extremely hot. Couldn't even touch it. I think what is happening is speed 3 is not able to engage. And it is jolting straight from 2, to 4. Does that makes sense or am I crazy? 😂

incredible video, i have same cart and having same issues, its a 1987 ezgo marathon. I cant find where solonoid wires go and f/r switch wires (micro switches) can i possible get your help with this? any pics showing connections would help, been weeks trying to fix
I cannot, this cart didn't come with a direction switch, I found a replacement for a Club-Car to be cheapest, and easiest to wire, so that's what I went with.
@@BrandonsGarage great. I would be willing to buy from you if you can let me know. Not sure how to find your email but I can send you an email and we can communicate that way if preferred.
When I typed in Brandon's garage a few minutes ago, videos came up of some young moron doing burnouts in a red Chev. and other dumb stunts. I had to go searching to find your repair channel. Did you know about this?

I've been thinking about your comment; I really want to recreat the Wright Flyer, only slightly modernized to be somewhat safe. They were able to do it in 1903, surely it would be easier today with modern amenities such as a miter saw.
Some dry moly or graphite lube would work well on pedal shaft and not attract any grit.
Do you have a list of the tools you used for this change out? I will be attempting this soon on my golf cart. Waiting on parts to arrive.
Pretty sweet how those work. How dangerous is it to work on those?
Did you have a carb ( 9.9 Evinrude )for that guy ?

I found a new board on ebay. That will help a lot.
Any chance you have a carburetor for a 76 9.9 seahorse? I can’t find one anywhere and the one thats in it is beyond repair.
I probably do

Where’s the gas tank in the electric car?
under the flux capacitor
