  • This video show how to cook a steak perfectly on the big green egg. We chose ribeye and sirloin but any steak can be cooked this way. Seared to perfection. Nothing can cook a steak better than the big green egg.

Yep, that’s the beauty of the green egg. Keeps things easy. Sometimes less is more.

Did you leave top and bottom vents open until reaching the 600F. How long time it takes to reach 600f. Thanks

This was a very informative technique. Say you want to shoot for medium or medium well, - is it just a matter of starting off with the high sear then cooking longer during the "baking" period?

Nice job on steaks. I’m finding airflow Problems on egg too. Researching kick ash on amazon, they supposedly increase airflow and let you shake out little pieces and ash. Like $90 though. Nice video, new subscriber here 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for subscribing. I find that if i keep the egg clean it cooks better. Like you said the ash plugs the holes and limit the air flow. Happy cooking.

If you haven’t tried lump coal it works really well. Made from oak and hickory. Flavor is amazing.
