Sticky rice is my absolute favorite. And I have never found a recipe that didn’t involve a bamboo steamer, and that’s hard to find. I am so glad you made this video! I now can make sticky rice all the time! 🖤

I finally made this. Thank you. I always check your collection of recipes first.
II did not have Thai sticky rice so I used the Japanese sweet rice I had. I think it's shorter grain but it's what I stock in my pantry. I used a tip I found on another site... rinse and soak it for 1 hour. Drain it and leave it in colander 30 minutes. It's cooked for 10 minutes in a covered pot with equal parts water then the heat is turned off and cover left on. I left the cover on for about 30 minutes than put the sweetened coconut milk in. Put the cover back on for more than 45 minutes.
Couldn't wait to soak rice overnight. My mangoes were calling to me!
