My family bought a Sea Pro 259 last year. The ride on it is great, but it feels so much bigger than other boats. 9’4” beam makes all the difference especially with 22.5 deadrise. Their customer support for warranty work is also excellent, much better than other brands.
Definitely, was going to jump into a rabalo R242 it was going to be almost 40 grand more didn't make sense. The sea chaser comes with a 300 susuki with a 5 year warranty plus I got dual simrad and radar 2 transducers. Just hope I can learn how to work all the electronics lol thanks bro
I am truly amazed by these boat prices and it's surprised me that they have sustained these prices for this long. I didn't think that many people were buying 100 to 200 k boats and can afford them.
With credit cards and financing many people are very happy to put themselves in dept they will never pay of because they don’t know any better . I sell boats for a living I see it everyday

I purchased a 2020 with twin 150's for $108k with trailer, great value considering where prices are today. How times have changed.
I did not see them at the show this year. Would have made for a great comparison. I will be at the Miami show and I have to believe they will be there so will try and work that in at that show. Congrats on a beautiful boat!
Wait until a new boat buyer realizes that the purchase price is only half the cost. Dockage. Winter Storage. Insurance. Maintenance. Usage. Repairs. There are going to be a ton of recently purchased boats on the market in the next few years. Be patient and wait for those deals.
No, I don’t think so, people shelling out over 100g are not first time owners and know the drill. With Covid and many people not travelling, boat saving $$$ went up a lot as well pushing the prices higher. Along with this, we are in the midst of many people inheriting from the war generation that is sadly passing on so there’s a ton of money going from the old savers to the new spenders.

Hi Capt. Great comparison and review (then/now) of these boats. I think the Sea Pro is also the best value (quality/cost) among the ones you reviewed. Taking it back to 8+ years ago at the Miami Boat show I remember seeing a 25' Dusky with dual Evinrude (don't remember the power) for $65K. Back then that price was unrealistic to me as this boat lacked that fit and finish we all want. Thanks.

Great video John! A friend down here told me that everything on Sea Pro’s are covered by warranty for 5 years. That’s engine, electronics everything! Not sure how accurate that is, but he works in the industry. Next time check out what Dusky and Contender are doing. 👍 - Seb
Yeah, I’m a Parker guy but if I wanted a center console I’d leave the brand, would probably go Sea Hunt or Sailfish 27’… I’m in it for the pilot house. The guys at NJ outboards wanted to sell me a 27 sea hunt ultra, not the gamefish, fully loaded with spot lock, joystick for the price of that 25 Parker. If wasn’t paying off some bills I’d have taken it right then and there.
Did you get any footage of the Sportsman boats? They don't have a 25 CC, but they do have a couple of different versions of a 24 and a 26. IMO, they are the best boat for the money out there among the volume manufacturers right now. I would say they are similar to the Sea Pro, but better. I think I may have commented on your Stuart Boat Show video from last year that I was looking at a Sea Pro, but I settled on Sportsman. I completely agree that you are WAY overpaying for a Grady.
Nice job, i’m trying to come down to a boat show this year. Is there a boat show between Tampa and Naples you would recommend. That would give me a good amount of center console boats in water or out. Close to as good as Miami.
Hey Ron - being completely honest here. I have not been to either of those shows so unfortunately, I’m not the best person to make that recommendation for you. I have been to the Miami show and as you know, every manufacturer under the sun is there. Wish I could offer better advice :-)

Nope. There were two Cobias there but they were on display with the Freedom Boat Club. I am sure they will be in Miami though. I plan on being there next month
Judging by this video I would go with sea pro. I have the Grady. 2004. It’s an amazing boat. I have never been on any of these other CC though. So technically. I can’t give an honest review. My Grady. Strong. Solid. Good fuel burn. Been out over 100 miles with it. Been in NASTY 🤮 Seas. The storage is really good. I have a lot of gear and the boat handles it. The deck space I wish was better. I wish it was wider. Longer. But hey. Then I should probably go with a bigger boat. Problem. I can’t afford them. LOL Grady still Running like a champ with twin f150s. Have 2000 hours on em. Service the engines every 100 hours. And I’ve done two timing belt changes already for preventative maintenance at 1000 hours each. I’ll probably have this boat forever. And at some point will reppower. Debating on putting a Minnkota trolling motor on in the summer. No longer fishing on the north east coast in New York moving down the south east Florida and it looks like trolling motors is the way to go to get on the smaller pieces of bottom. Next to bridges and docks. Etc.

Unfortunately, I think two things have to happen: interest rates need to go up making free money a little more difficult and the economy needs to take a serious hit where people will forgo luxury items, which unfortunately, boats are for most of us.

We are also seeing a decrease in economic growth in each quarter, but that isn't slowing boat builders down as they continue to price out boats at housing costs. What a paradoxical phenomenon!
Basically they can raise the price to whatever they want because the people who buy these boats are generally wealthy and a few thousand more doesn’t mean much to them. Inflation is high so why not go along with everything else and raise the price. What we need to stabilize the market is a good recession

@@jiggingjerks it’s difficult in that format with one person. One needs to pan very very slowly or put the camera on a stick or tripod. To be honest, we know what a locker looks like and I would suggest just describing what you love about a boat over and above some other boats. They all have 80% same features and believe most viewers want to hear about the 20% that are different. Also I find most bling is just cosmetic and the true benefits are mostly hidden in things like a solid hull, creeks, wiring, special features other boats don’t have, type of stainless fittings, cheap plastics, bilge, steps, how solid things feel, grab rails and give them a good tug…climb on top of the T-Top to see how it is finished, riggings, options that you can put on and how cheap or expensive they are….
The days when a working class guy could buy a new boat are long gone. The Grady is a joke .Over $200,000 dollars with taxes and a trailer ? And the quality and attention to detail with new boats is not that great . Just like you saw on that Parker. I am glad I already own a boat because these prices I see today are not something I could justify paying.

The Aquasport upgrades to twin 200 Zukes over 150s. That’s the only noticeable difference I saw
