  • Continuing the 2022 Stuart Boat Show series, today we look at "Medium Large" Offshore Center Consoles in the 26 to 30 foot category with entries from Ocean Master, Release, Nautic Star, Stuart Boatworks, Sea Fox, Sportsman, Front Runner and Tidewater. Prices are quite different from a low of $143,500 for the Ocean Master 296 to $290,000 for the Stuart 27 (as equipped in this video).
    Which one would you pick and why?

    Like always great video!! I looked at the 296 Ocean Master 2 years ago. I am currently running an Ocean Master 27H model with twin 225 Etec's and love the boat. I purchased the boat from my Uncle when he upgraded to the Ocean Master 31 last year and the ride on the 31 is incredible. Ocean Master builds a great boat and I love being able to still run my boat on a single outboard if need be.

    Great video series John-all nice alternatives to the usual big name brands we typically see.The boat with all the black accents and sea-deck would get me sea sick just looking at all that-definitely not something I would even consider.

    Great informational video. One of the things I always look for that I have on my Grady White Fisherman 236, because of being in my mid sixties is a handrail on the bow and tow rails on the gunnels. The added safety and sense of security is a plus for me. Didn’t like the Seadeck on the one boat, a little to busy for my eyes. Keep up the great videos.

    John: While I am certain you enjoyed boarding all of the boats I would like to thank you for posting the video. I prefer an uncluttered quality boat that design purpose was for fishing. The first two boats you boarded were hard core fishing machines and reeked of quality. Unfortunately, quality comes with a price but the Stuart and Front Runner were my favorites.

    Nice video. Been thinking about upgrading, have a 22 Grady fish around Sandy Hook NJ. I’ll take the 28 Sportsman, although the TE model. Looks like they completely redid their design with new stringer grids and new design features. Remember that one had the seakeeper option for 35 k. That’s huge, my next boat will definitely have one. I’m 55 ain’t gettin any younger.

      Sea keeper is coming out with smaller and smaller models. In 2020, they had one on a 22 foot panga at the Miami Shwo. It’s definitely a game changer and the older I get, the more I agree with your statement

    Thank you for the video. Very informative as always. Just curious, what was that boat at the beginning of the video? It wasn't one of the boats that you previewed. I think it was named, "MA SHIELA". It looked like a modified large center console with a tower, more central seating and possibly some sort of cabin. It looked like you could walk around both sides of the center of the boat. There was a fighting chair in the back. Beautiful boat!

    • @jiggingjerks
      @jiggingjerks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe some of it is the cost of the raw materials has gone up but I also think most of it is supply and demand. I’m curious what happens when interest rates go up and if the market keeps tanking like it has the last week if we will see some of these prices come down to a more normal level. It gets crazier as the boat sizes go up. I just edited a video of 30 to 34 Center console video and the Everglades 335 which is really a 32 foot boat was 600 K.

  • @briansupermag3918
    @briansupermag3918 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The 28 sportsmen would of been my choice. But when i was at the AC boat show couple years ago my wife and daughter went on their 30 footer and we could of walked out of there for UNDER 200K. THAT WAS NOT THE 28 BUT THE 30. Negotiate your but off and you can do way better on price.
    But have to say I'd take a 32 Worldcat and never look back.

    • @jiggingjerks
      @jiggingjerks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I were on a budget I totally agree. I would probably do the 24 instead of the 21 but I get why Sweeney did the 21. He trailers the boat each year between Connecticut and Florida back-and-forth and also keeps it on the trailer in Connecticut and launches from multiple different ramps. Smaller is better in that case
