This was my daily car but it’s since been sold. The video was actually made last year but just never had to opportunity to edit and upload. Thanks guys
I am fortunate enough to own a Porsche Cayenne 958 (2014) and must admit its a fantastic vehicle. I watched all your videos prior to buying and your knowledge was invaluable. In the end I managed to get a black one, pan roof, BOSE sound system and air suspension. No issues so far, lets hope it stays that way!
@@hebrewqueen9280got one too, love it, but… have issues with electronics! Electronics bug from time to time, everything lights up,pcm goes on and off and wipers start running on their own. My 2013 Cayenne has had zero problems. 108k and diesel 3.0. In the past three years I've spent over $5,000 on repairs for my Toyota (wheel bearings, alternator, A/C, power steering, CV axel. etc.). So, don't always assume because it's Toyota it won't break. In all my entire life, two cars stand out--my 2002 4Runner 200k and only repair was starter motor. The other is my 2013 Cayenne diesel--108k and no repairs yet and still feels and looks like a brand new car.
@@velavanlaack9134 FJ Cruiser. I've had plenty go wrong with it but it's still going strong now at 150k. I think the guy that owned it before me ran it hard.
I own two 2014 Platinum Editions Cayennes. After purchasing the 1st one Certified from a Porsche Dealer which was part of their loaner fleet for the 1st six months. It had 5000 miles, came with an additonal 6 months warranty from initial service date. I saved $10K vs a new one. My wife and I liked it so much (we fought on who got to drive it) we got another one 6 months later. One black, one grey. Have had both for almost 10 years and no problems with either. Recently purchased a Macan (love it too) but will keep one Cayenne unitl it dies. Highly recommend.
I didn't want this car (Diesel Platinum Edition), but needed a sidekick for my 911 for winter. Meanwhile, I love it. The points made in the video are totally valid. And this year it happened. We went on holiday and left the 911 back home in the garage. I guess I'm getting older. Or wiser, maybe ;)
I am looking to buy my first Cayenne diesel 3.0L V6, options I would prefer are Pan Roof, Air Suspension, 21” Turbo Wheels, Bi- Xenons, heated Windscreen, Bose surround system, lumbar support. 2011 models High Mileage 115000 and above asking prices are over £17800
I am shopping for a 958.1 and noticed that most of the right hand drive reviews are the diesel spec. Of which, the north american market had the smallest allocation for that engine. Somewhat helpful of a review aside from the powertrain
yep. I'm70 and having some Med problems. I've been driving Porsches for 50 years. I LOVE my 911's but it is a struggle to get in and out of nowadays. I'm looking to get a Cayenne to fit my needs. I have a very well sorted '99 996 Gen 1 w/ 57K on the clock. IMS, Clutch, AOS, Water Pump, everything needed w/ engine out. Cabriolet w/ new top and new top hydraulics. Looking for a very dependable Cayenne.
I’m a big fan of your channel and appreciate your unfiltered feedback on your PCars . I’ve watched every 958 Cayenne video multiple times as I’ve just bought a 2012 Turbo. Which scan tool is your favorite to keep in the vehicle with you?
Thanks for this. Am looking at a 2014 Cayenne Base with the V6 and manual transmission. $25000 CDN in 2022 is a tad high tho. If I can get it for $20,000 then woooo hoooo
Came here to find this out. Been looking to add CarPlay for a while. There are a couple retrofit kits I’ve found but they involve opening up the PCM and physically installing new hardware. Only options I’ve found are those retrofits or installing an aftermarket unit. Keep stock vs. retrofit vs. aftermarket: lots of pros and cons all the way around.
Hi. I've had my 2011 Cayenne Diesel 4 months now. I've just driven it down to South of Spain. Got c45mpg. Brilliant car for such an expedition. I also have a Cooper S and Mini convertible for running round town. The only setback I had with the Cayenne is the satnav. It's 10 years old and quite out of date map wise. Getting lost around Madrid not recommended ! Anyway Porsche have offered me a 2019 map update at a cost of £300. I thought this was a bit much for saying they stick a cd in it to update. If anyone knows of a better option let me know. Geoff
It's a great looking vehicle, for sure. Not sure I'd want the maintenance costs, but I'm sure it's a great driver. Now I'll walk back over to my Toyota pick-up haha.

Great age to own a porsche
What is the highest mileage I should consider when buying this car
Maintenance records are more important than mileage restrictions.

Which CarPlay adapter did you use? Did you install it yourself? How did that go? Was it reliable once installed?

958.2 GTS is bullet proof and get more than 1,000klm on a single tank on a freeway road trip. And the torque!!!
So total of 8 variants then, you missed out the Cayenne Base which is the 3.6L V6 version, not sure if this was sold in the UK, but it was in the US

Why did you sell it?
Thank you, very nice and informative video, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I am looking at a Cayenne for a daily driver myself and this really helps.
What is the Apple car play system you bought?

Google maps on your phone, or a tablet holder and plugged into the cig lighter
So you forgot your phone is more powerful than the cayenne in terms of technology
Great video as always, do you have a link to the roof racks you used? got a 2016 cayenne gts without the factory roof rail options.
I can't find the link details for the roof rails for a the roof box... Could you tell me where I can find the details??

why would i wana buy an older verison (11-17) in 2022? doesn't make sense.
Depreciation
To get one 75% off, what doesn’t make sense about that? 😂😂
What options are available for CarPlay?
aftermarket option or buy model 06.2016 up
Sorry but way too much commercial for this diagnostic thing. It would be sufficient to mention it 1 or 2 times.
WHY DID YOU SELL THE SUV????:((
What kind of accent is this? Somewhere in England? lol
