      @@symphonyofaria yeah I would understand if you killed whoever, but self defense laws are extremely rigid, idk where you are from and I don't think either of us are lawyers, but from what I have heard from lawyers you need to exhaust every other option before engaging in self defense especially if you are using a weapon, so I think any of the guards trying to stop you are fair game, but if you don't have a weapon then you can't snap their neck after knocking them out.

    You can do Mendoza without performing any illegal actions ("crimeless" in terms of the game mechanics, but technically setting a leaking propane where target smokes so he dies from explosion would still be considered a crime). Since starting in a disguise and throwing propane is not illegal you can use propane for both targets and without trespassing. Yates and Tamara cross paths near asado pit and Tamara's table where she smokes, so you can start in waiter or asado chef disguise or in Midnight Black suit at the shrine, light asado pit (either with The Big One, with the torch or by having asado chef light it himself) and then set the propane in the right place and time both targets by bumping into them so Yates and Tamara walk by propane when she is smoking.

      Moving the propane tanks probably is a crime, but not for the reason you think. The whole premeditated murder through propane tank is just kinda impossible in these circumstances. Agent 47 could not possibly know the target would smoke right there, only we have that knowledge and are premeditating it. 47 simply moved an object. Negligent homicide is possible however. It's a dangerous object being improperly stored with little regard for public safety. Another thing of note is that hitman likely does not have the right to move the propane tank in most scenarios, but since he is simply relocating the propane tank elsewhere on the premises, it's not quite stealing, but it could possibly fall under criminal mischief.

    Alternative for Berlin, you could just wait for 5 different targets to become suspicious of you. Since they're all guards and enforcers for all disguises, they will attack you first and you can act in self defense. But since you already got it down to 0 I guess it doesn't matter. Could be useful information for any other map with guards as targets though.

    • @jman667755

      That could be seen as provoking a fight and you don't get to do that then claim self defense. However, some states in the US have mutual combat laws so neither of you could get hit with anything so long as no other laws were broken.

    what i like about this is that he added a crime for the biker spawn, but what i want to see is how it takes place as you being a hitman, so as realistically as possible, just starting a level is a crime since accepting a hitman contract is illegal alongside being a hitman, but this is my favorite variation because they dont just say like other youtubers "so i dumped this DUCK BOMB HERE and BLEW THEM UP but dont worry! i didn't see a red symbol!!!" so yeah, cheers to this guy to being logical yet making it fun aswell

  • @Asko83
    @Asko83 ปีที่แล้ว +103

    I kinda think that every kill Hitman does on targets, counts as a pre-meditated homicide (or whatever is the equivalent legal term in the country where it takes place) because usually he has been paid to kill these people (or it is part of his revenge plan) possibly apart from self defense when it comes to targets that were actively trying to kill the Hitman even before he went after them (Which does show up occasionally in the games. Notably a lot in Hitman Absolution.) So even if you kill two targets at one time, usually that just makes it two separate acts of murder that would be counted separately in court. But there are plenty of creative "accidental kill" playthroughs that at least could leave the authorities thinking that no crime took place since the victims got into freak accidents. But all in all, this video is a fresh way to look at challenges in the game, since the "oops all accidents" thing has been done a lot.

    • @doomslayer8025

      47 doesn’t get the money until the target is dead. He gets the money whether he kills them or not no technically he could be charged for fraud but not premeditated murder.

    • @wikipiiimp9420
      @wikipiiimp9420 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      in hitman 3 you could reasonably argue that in Berlin and in the Train 47 is acting as self defense : as he is either hunted by assasins sent by the ICA or kidnapped as a test subject (and therefore is not trepassing, he is sent there by force)
      tbf this would not count for killins Soders, as Soders himself is not armed and not directly threatening 47 life when they meet (he is simply offering him the possibility to erase his memories)
      but as long as some providence guard try to shot him, 47 have the right to defend itself. (ideally by knocking them, or as a least resort, by shoothing them)
      for all others missions where he is either on the offensive trying to destroy ICA/Providence or having contracts to kill some specific target : yeah, obviously pretty huge crimes.

    The method employed here seems dangerously close to criminal negligence, but I can see the argument for it being crimeless. However, an approach that is certainly harder, but definitely crimeless, is letting the targets see you and draw their weapons. They are there to kill 47 without due process or just cause, so not only is fighting them considered self defense, but because you can reasonably believe they have lethal intent, you can defend yourself with deadly force, which yes, is also the case for the mission area's local laws.

    - Reckless endangerment (the screwdriver could've easily bounced off the wall and hit a civilian)
    - Being a hitman (That itself is a crime)
    - 1st degree murder
    - Impersonation (of the staff member of which he got the clothes off of, although could possibly not be counted since it's entirely possible he worked his way up the corporate ladder I guess)
    - Trespassing (again, unless he worked his way up the corporate ladder to that position for the disguise then it's still trespassing even if the game says it's not)
    I'm not a lawyer and I'm pretty sure there's a few more crimes just in that first kill, so take this as a grain of salt.

    A note about Dartmoor, because 47 would have had to know what would happen if he fixed that random piece of equipment, that would make him guilty by conspiracy, aiding and abetting, or even make him an accomplice to the murder.
    Now the game is a bit strange about it, but given that the detective is given free reign of the house to investigate, I don't think getting the cane and entering the secret room would be a crime, so by starting as the detective and recovering the letter from the secret room, you can rule Zacharys death a suicide demand the Edwards file as payment before Carlisle kills herself, which is done completely of her own volition. This gets you off the hook for everything, no trespass, no murder, no conspiracy to anything.
    It's actually unique in that, in every other mission, even kills that 47 doesn't directly commit, he's still clearly guilt for it. But in Dartmoor all he does is ask for the file he wants and give her the obvious explanation of her brothers death. You do this in a room full of witnesses, all of whom are armed and could intervene in any crimes, but even they would agree 47 did nothing. He even didn't coerce her into it, frankly on my playthrough I was kinda shocked she did. It's the only death I can think of that 47 is 100% innocent in

    Technically it'd be 21 crimes, clearly stated in the end mission " go back to being a hitman. " this means every time he entered a mission, he's contracted to kill these people which is illegal. Being a hitman is illegal, the crime is labeled contract killing. This means for every target he's had, there is a sufficient charge or charges of contracted killing and as there are 11 targets in the whole of hitman 3 ( not counting the other 5 he didn't kill in Berlin ) thus, 11 charges of contracted killing. As well as this; In Chongqing China, when 47 becomes a Data Analysist, he is to be charged with breaking and entering, trespassing and stealing a disguise since he is wanted by the ICA and the Facility Imogen Royce resides in is owned by the ICA. 47 Was fired by the ICA before that mission so it is impossible for 47 to gain a job there after being fired and after the mission he is still wanted showing it was not taken down.
    In addition to this, 47 is apart of a criminal organization which is a few charges. The official bio for the ICA ( International Contracting Agency ) is this: " The ICA was Agent 47's employer. It is a multinational, extremely well-funded neutral (yet criminal) organization independent of the world's governments, with ties to various groups and individuals, providing assassination and mercenary services. " This shows he is apart of an illegal mercenary group that contracts murders for people. It is also an organization which has not been approved by the government which is illegal and the bio calls itself an organization thus, they are going against the government.

    If you start as a security guard in Hush's building, bring a pistol and an EMP device, you can do a "crimeless" Chongqing by initiating a conversation between Hush and Imogen and dropping the EMP device near a propane flask where they meet. Holding a pistol as a guard is not a crime, so shooting the drones won't be an issue. You don't ever have to trespass either.

    • @krass9178
      @krass9178 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shooting the drones is obviously illegal, because it is destruction of the property of someone else (royce). Also, I don't know what dropping a EMP next to a propane tank should do, because a Propane tank got no kind of electronic inside of it. You are maybe talking about a remote taser, or a remote bomb, but it would be illegal still because you set up a trap in which 2 people die.
      So it would be
      2 counts of first degree murder
      5 counts of destruction of property
      1 count of possession of an unregistered firearm most likely
      1 count of criminal impersonation (although this creator says that 47 worked his way up the corpo ladder yada yada we know that is wrong and so is using a disguise also a crime and probably should also be counted as 1 count of petty theft but because we're not seeing 47 steal the disguise I let it slide)
      So that would be still many crimes, playing Hitman without any felony commited is just impossible.

    • @DefectivePieceofChalk
      @DefectivePieceofChalk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@krass9178 The emp actually works fine in detonating propane. Try it. It can also be used in electrocution kills.
      Also, going by your logic, this video itself is flat out impossible. Germany has laws against littering, so even throwing those propane flasks would not be a valid strategy.
      The main thing to keep in mind is, we're going by what the game sees as illegal. The game is set entirely in a fictional universe that's loosely based on ours. Law, law enforcement and government is very different in that universe. Something can be a crime in the real world and be perfectly fine in Hitman's. Or vice versa.
      Try playing these games. They're actually good fun. And you may know what you're talking about once you've spent some time in these games.

Obviously intentionally making someone accidentally kill themselves is first degree murder, you planned it, you wanted it to happen, and it happened, the means of how the victim was murdered doesn't matter. Also, 47 is kidnapped in the last mission, so no trespassing. It is, however, illegal to willingly join providence as their new assassin.
