Yeah! Had the same thing happened now (several updates later) going off inside the room where it did would have been even more devastating as it would have blown up the two fuel tanks taking out the wall, along with the two troops outside the wall and possibly the two on the other side of the passageway.
This game looks so much damn fun! I like the soundtrack as well, and the ability to pie corners really gives a lot more advantage for singles clearing rooms. Thanks for the 31 banger video as well Justin.
Any plan on making videos which go into depth on how to go through buildings? I played some missions in Door Kickers 1 but never understood the principles behind such things.
as someone who's NOT done much real-life CQB, I found some success in using the steam guides for Door Kickers 1. I'm not a subject matter expert in this, so take my advice with a grain of salt. There's limited penetration, where you want to try to limit your exposure to most of the room if you're going slow. Look at 28:09. First Cobra exposes the trooper to half of the room, allowing him to deal with that threat. Then he moves the trooper to the right a little, letting him deal with the other half othe room. An alternative method is dynamic entry, where you have multiple troopers enter a room to dominate the space quickly. Look at 26:32. The troopers enter and deal with the threats in front before checking their respective corners. I'm not sure about the exact order of this, but IIRC there's some schools of thought that advocate the first man dealing with the corner threats while the second deals with the threat in front? I don't know TBH. Based on my experience in DK1 though, the enemy reacts quite quickly, so you want to toss in flashbangs to keep them unable to react. In fact, we see Cobra use this multiple times, where he has man 1 go in to deal with the front threat and man 2 go left/right to deal with the corners. A danger though, is seen in 7:19, where the trooper entering from the lower door exposes himself to the threats on the left and right while walking forward. You want to try to avoid this by either setting up go-codes or just delaying the entry until the flashbangs are tossed in. I'll now raise some common errors that I myself run into multiple times. I'll be taking from the video for you to better reference them. Nothing against Cobra though, again, the only experience I have with real CQB was basic military training. Approaching a door from the front. Look at 28:54. In this case the door was already open, but if it was closed and the trooper opens it from the front, he immediately exposes himself to gunfire from two angles. You want to open it from the side. Exposing troopers to uncovered regions. Look at the first window from the left at 18:03. There's an entire unchecked region (in blue) in that room, yet we have several troopers walking past. If there were to be an insurgent in that room, he'll have a field day with that. In DK1 there was no way to sneak troops past the window, but the trooper aiming into that room could've been shifted slightly to the right to cover the rest of the room. (Of course, that means he's no longer covering the flimsy door to the right of that room...) In DK2 however, troopers can crouch which allows them to duck beneath windows. Could've been relevant here, but when I played that mission, I cleared the first room first while detonating a wall breach at the lowest room. Not covering appropriate angles. You want to use rightclick to orient your troopers to specific directions. Shift-rightclick to make them focus on a specific spot. Ctrl-rightclick to make them aim at that direction throughout their path. Always be aware where your troopers are looking, and where they are exposed to. In 9:52 we see a negative example. Look at the 2 troopers on the right side. The lower one is exposed to the threat in the room due to the wider angle, while the one on top is not. You want to have him aiming in the room while the one on top aims below in the other room. Generally I always use right-click (to the point of over-use) to know exactly where they COULD be aiming (and hence which angles they are exposed to). Not covering possible locations. An excellent demonstration of preventing this mistake is seen from 8:36 onwards, where even though Cobra is dealing with the threats on the left side of the compound with three troopers, he leaves one to cover their rear.
im soooooooo glad you mentioned original Rainbow 6. I loved making a full 4 squads of 5 people their paths, actions & go codes all planned out then watching how it goes. soooooo dope. Army Infantry FTW!!! lmaoo
Hello Cobra493. And I am a new subscriber! My buddies told me to check out your channel, and I'm sure glad you did. The way you play these games with such surgical precision, is really entertaining. You've earned a sub! Keep the great content coming.
I just couldn't fight the urge, I bought it although I wanted to wait for sale and its both obsessive and addictive. Edit: Fuck that I bought the game and its amazing.
Nice video! Though I'm curious, how come you don't use ctrl-click more? I feel like in this game (as well as in the first one) if you don't use ctrl-click your guys will end up staring at walls and completely missing guys next to them. Ctrl-click has been such a lifesaver for my own games
I do on occasion but they seem to do well enough on their own thus far. Plus its a quick pause for me to adjust. When I start doing single plan stuff however, that'll change.
And more ways to enter. Breach a wall. Go in from the windows. Opening a door instead of kicking it open (back in DK1, only the Stealth class did that) Sneak past windows. (Impossible in DK1) More weapons as well as heavier guns. More enemy types such as RPGs and...suicide bombers. More options to control hostages movements and addition of civilians who will try to run out(?)
I like this video. And I am highly surprised that you follow the major rules of speed and violence without taking cover, without using flashbangs....just go in and clear.
So weapons operate as basically flat, linear upgrades to each other? That's a shame....so much for any sort of room for real custom approaches. It's just "equip the best gear and go."
19:13 you are one lucky man, the insurgent threw a nade at you which ended up blowing up inside the room
My initial reaction was "I dont remember telling anyone to toss a frag...."
Yeah! Had the same thing happened now (several updates later) going off inside the room where it did would have been even more devastating as it would have blown up the two fuel tanks taking out the wall, along with the two troops outside the wall and possibly the two on the other side of the passageway.
Imagine this game being a simulation for le and military, be able to make custom maps and have ai stationed wherever you desire.
You can make custom maps and position the AI where you want actually, there's an inbuilt level editor that lets you make custom levels

Using it when teaching :D
That’s the most retarded thing I’ve heard someone say lol.
Only effective in cqb demonstration

Love it when someone lays this realistically
My favorite TH-camr right now, especially vr related. Could you do another onward tactical teamwork video sometime???? They’re so fucking entertaining
Yes
Justin charges extra for every round he has to fire; so don't fuck up your shots.

I can tell you "my" methods if there's an interest.
@@Justinred87 Yeah that would be nice.

Was gonna leave a like, but the like counter is at 69. I just don't have the strength to change that.

I wish there was more fog of war in rooms so you make unknown instead of known room entries.
"Who the hell gave you nerds spy cameras?" Well, I dunno Team Fucking Leader, who do you think? LOL

At 8:30 the wall with the couch you can actually put a charge on it and blow it up
Aww hell yeah loving the new DK2 content

Can even use it to demonstrate in classes
You can also order hostages to do things if you right click on them

I assume the voicelines will change when the full version change? Because those are still DK 1 lines.
Pretty safe assumption that those are placeholder for the time being.

Leave it to a marine to throw a frag at a VIP😂
Question, how the bloody hell do you do the Against All Odds mission? I'm just stuck on that one.
Is this available in android? I really love it.
Its still early access and porting it to Android would take time

if i play door kickers i play better than this. . .
but when it comes to fps or airsoft games, am typical too early die. 😂
