U don't realize the luxury of traditional local foods until u leave home. 😭 Trying to get ingredients abroad in good quality is like searching for gold sometimes😂 whenever we hear someone's traveling to Africa we rush to place food order's for fish, fruits and greens 😂😂😂 like we starving outside😅

I learned how to fry fish from Chef Raphael. Before I learned from him I used to split the fish into two slices. I thought that this was how you fried it. I did not know that you could cook the fish whole so long as the guts were removed. It was a big discovery for me and increased my consumption of fish.

It’s usually a fork not spoon and as another Kenyan who does this… it slaps! I can still eat with my hands but also love using a fork for ugali 🤌🏾

This Chef has an accent like someone from Central Kenya, if you have eaten ugali before he should have prepared other common meals from central Kenya.But I bet he settled for Ugali coz it's the easiest to cook.
He made something that he though we would enjoy. He's is a professional chef so he can cool anything.

Try Nigerian food (Egusi)
I try both Nigerian food, like Egusi and Kenyan food such as Ugali. Kenya food are much much bettter in terms of flavor, spice and taste than any Nigerian food.
It's my first time seeing a Kenyan eating ugali with a fork.
