Based on testing, the Avata 2 should be able to get 55-60Mbps at around 1km range with FCC, and around 40-45Mbps around 2km. Yours has noticeably lower bitrate than that, suggesting maybe something wrong with the setup or could be interference in the area.
Good evening, I used the ham file on my sdcard on Googles, and it enabled new channels, does this prove that the FCC worked? I ask this because I didn't notice any difference in speeds in normal mode and sport mode and I didn't notice any change in image transmission. I tested on all channels and frequencies, and chose to leave it in automatic mode. Do I need to buy the app? what version of firmware do you use? Thank you very much.
I think the speed difference is in the manual mode, not the others Also, the drone needs to be powered last for it to work, if i start my drone first, it's in CE even with the file
@@Xcx284 reduced range can be due to a number of things - external interference, transmitter orientation, obstructed line of sight or flying at low altitude.
@@dronewilder5234 i tried flying out in the sea to a nearby inhabited island abt 500m today. As usual, it loses connection at abt 350m and I had to turn back. I switched between 2.4/5.8, auto, manual, everything, but nothing works. Mine is a CE region. Yet I’m able to turn on manual mode. Maybe that’s part of the new update. Not sure 🤷. Flying altitude is between 80m-150m. The same problem also occurs when I’m flying out in the plantation fields as well. Are there any mistakes I’m not realising here?
@@cgbyrobert it was definitely CE mode but admittedly the area flown is pretty free from interference/obstructions etc. I always check CE mode in the transmission tab which indicates the mode by the db value that the 1km line lands on
@@dronewilder5234 Interesting. There are no trees there. Are you on a hilltop as well? I am trying to set in to FCC mode and it sure looks like its done with manual controll of the channels, but the performance is the same, both with distance and penetration. I am a bit disapointed to be honest.
@@cgbyrobert yeah 350m on FCC mode doesn’t sound right if you’ve mitigated all other factors. Just a few other things to consider - do you have any strong rf emitting devices near you, are you flying low to the ground, are your goggles 3 antennas pointed at a 90deg angle to the drone?. The latter may sound silly but I sometimes find my head dips down when I fly and hang will then cause the antennas to be 90Deg pointing to the ground which won’t result in good range

There’s a strong possibility it was flown from inside a car in both instances - so that’s probably why 😎😜

Wow, I was not expecting almost 2800 m distance on CE mode, great signal strength! In similar conditions my Avata 1 was doing maximum 1150 m with CE.
Conditions make a huge difference - what will really blow your mind though is that both flights where actually flown from inside a car! 😮…
@@dronewilder5234 thats cool, must try myself, I am more confident now till my A2 arrive, thanks :)
it doesnt show image near 10 mbit quality though only control
Mine, I can only do abt 500m. Why is that? Im flying on Auto mode. Any suggestions? Thanks

Yeah I’m based in the uk
Are you sure that's ce mode because there is no directional EU arrow. Mine looses signal around 350 meters los in ce.
