Just re penetration (distance) test, did you use Focus Mode in case that helps and ideally have antennas probably positioned more consistently pointing in same direction always during entire test without car blocking. it looks like googles were sitting on the box behind windshield.
Also night camera test ideally have a test with exact same settings for comparison + one with auto to show the difference/advantage in both manual vs auto conditions for consistency.
Otherwise awesome (cool car btw. :D ). Btw. isn't it perhaps better for connectivity to look with googles more in the direction/level where you're flying? (I only started this week with Avata 2 and noticed it's tempting to look downwards into the ground but probably not ideal and perhaps can make a difference towards end of bandwidth connectivity.
Yup loving the Avata 2 also... so many improvements.

I love my Avata 2, it's definitely an upgrade. My only negative about the avata 2 is that it doesn't seem as durable as the first one and you cant self repair it. The Avata 1 you could replace prop guard and frame but the Avata 2 it doesn't seem possible. I had to purchase care refresh for Avata 2 so I can feel more comfortable when flying it. Other then that everything about the avata 2 is awesome. Love your videos ken keep it up
I removed a few screws with no success. They have a couple screws that are rounded off underneath the aircraft to help prevent us from opening it up. 😢
Yeah i havent even tried to mess with it. After i purchased it i watched Mads Tech video on dismantling it later on that day. i wasnt happy to find out what he showed on his video. Its like DJI said nope were making it hard to self repair so they can sell more care refresh packages and further their repair services. But i still love it and in many ways a definite upgrade. @@saintkenny9296
Crashed mine on third flight when RtH took it into a tree and it dropped straight down and broke prop and bent shroud. Best Buy said it was irreparable, so my repair plan turned into a replace plan. Was back in the air 6 hours after crash.

I'm impressed. The camera to me looks more vivid on A2 than A1 steak sauce 😋 I'll hold onto my Avata1 with 5 batteries for awhile longer. Great comparison Ken and that deep penetration is a game changer. ❤

Please help with some advise how can I have such good quality videos from Avata, uploaded in TH-cam? I use 1920x1080 60fps settings, then use GyroFlow, but when I upload to TH-cam the quality is discouraging. I see you have Avata videos stabilized with GyroFlow and they look epic. Please help!
TH-cam prefers higher resolutions. Always upload in 4K H.265 (Not H.264)

No, gyroflow will create an output file comparable to the original files resolution

Hey Ken I’m 14 years old been doing droning for 4 years now and been upgrading for a few years now now have the air 2s and now want to start making some money with it by doing roofing inspections progression jobs and inspections but I know I need a part 107 and need to be 16 to get it is it legal if my mom gets the license and everything that involves getting money with the drone is ran by her even if she knows nothing about the drone I’ve been getting work done with the drone for people but now realizing that my name is getting out there alittle bit and now seeing that I should really consider this license so the faa dosnt start to come over here and start fine me or should I just wait until I’m 16 to get it up and running

Hey bud! In order to earn money yourself, you need to be 16. The one exception would be to can work under someone (like mom) with a part 107 and you can serve as the Remote Pilot in Command. The money would have to flow through your mom or whomever has the 107.

I am loving my new Avata 2. Just received the new Controller 3 and it is defiantly an upgrade in flying than the OG Avata! Flying in Manual Mode Fun in the wind is best with the Avata 2. The Motion Lotion Controller just doesn't do as well.
I really hope DJI offers a better option soon regarding that rubber floppy seal around your face which to me is very infuriating to say the least. I can only imagine in the summertime with that glued to your face and feeling the molded plastic right behind it. I need some cushion DJI or some friendly 3rd party person to make the Goggles 3 more comfy. Wish the strap was a little bigger for my "Big Head", but it is what it is.
I have 2 sets of Ken Dobo's "Ribbed for Your Pleasure" guards on the way. Ken is the only one that has any guards for the new Avata 2! Thank You, Sir!

Why is the speed restricted with the motion controller?
The DJI FPV does 60. I never understood why the A2 doesn’t offer this option with the infamous Dildo Controller?

@@KenHeron remote controller but I think I figured out why. Both my downward sensors had dirt on them 😅😅😅 cleaned and flew at night yesterday perfectly fine

Maybe my next purchase. I have a Mini 2 and a Mavic 3 Classic but no FPV drone yet. I wasn't sure with the Avata yet but when I see the capability of the Avata 2 I might be persuaded to buy this fpv drone as well 🤩

I think y theres such a big difference between the 2 is because 1's a pusher. Pushers are great for slow speed stabilization....but the avata 2 is much more quite and the flight characteristics are much better especially at a higher speed or acro

Why GyroFlow (or other post-processing) will always be better than any in-flight stabilization: because it sees the whole video including the FUTURE parts, while the in-flight stabilization only has the past part of the video.

Avata2 and avata1 increase their transmission output when in flight. The penetration test is a bit inaccurate. But great video tho 👍🏼

This Penetration test doesnt make sense because when the motors off they are both in low Power mode 🤷
They're both on equal footing, so...
@@KenHeron yeah, but the output power of the VTX is in low power mode when the motors are off. So this test doesnt make sense under this circumstances. You can test this yourself when put the Goggles on and watch the bitrate when starting the motors.
I can get my mini 4 pro up in the air in 45 seconds. As long as the DJI RC 2 doesn't decide that it wants to take 3 minutes to start up on a given attempt 😂
Ken , once again they force the hand controller on you and you have to buy everything over again, goggles, drone battery, and controller.. I have 5 DJI drone, but going to check out on this one..

im sorry but your penitration test looks not right. you need to arm the drone to get maximum power. when on idle the power is limited.
