Hey Dave. I want you to know your efforts are never in vain. I was watching Mortuary from 1982 the other night, the credits roll, up comes Gary Graver as the cinematographer. I go, there’s that guy Dave goes on about. Your work here is done.
The grin on my face when I spied Empire Records, and then Love Exposure underneath! :D I don't think Empire had a Blu-Ray release over here, as well as being taken aback when a HD version appeared on Prime Video for a hot minute. Speaking of Allan Moyle, I don't think the equally amazing Pump Up The Volume had a Blu-Ray release here. I imported mine, but thankfully it was region free. A timeless classic, and alongside Empire Records, films I think would really speak to a younger audience - that are wearing similar fashions, love that music, etc. Oh and, re Love Exposure, interesting to note it received an 8 episode extended release in Japan.
@@snipsmovies Another musing as I watched last night, tied to UK non-releases. Back in the day I imported 'Before Sunrise' and it arrived on a double sided disc, letterbox one side,. widescreen the other. I've not seen that on any other release. Do you know if it was purely something which happened abroad, or as to why it didn't catch on?
@@coffee-jezus Yeah, I've got that on a few discs. Strictly from that era. Think both Sony and Warner's did it at the time. Obviously it didn't last that long.
I would highly recommend the Dutch slasher/thriller Amsterdamned from 1988 its available to stream on Prime but can be a bit pricey to buy on DVD or Blu-Ray luckily I managed to but a DVD copy on DVD for under a tenner.👍
Thanks for the Pure Cinema plug! He definitely sold me on VENGEANCE too (especially in the room!)
I can imagine! Watched it when I got home. Loved it!
Some nice pickups 👍👍

@@filmwolf4078 Ha!! Amazing. Thing is, you've spotted him once, and now you'll see his name everywhere in all kinds of movies!
Cracking episode as usual ...it's my go to video on headphones whilst cooking sunday dinner

@@snipsmovies I remember it being a sod to figure out which format was on which side, which is probably why. A cool option to have though.
