Hi Dave. Congrats on the newspaper article. It's nice to see more people interested in physical media. Thanks so much for your videos. All the best to you!
I really love how those DTV action movies/thrillers that feature an ageing star prominently in the marketing and on the cover but only fleetingly in the movie (like Confidential Informant here) are nicknamed "Geezer Teasers".
Another great weekly update! Do you often order multiple copies of new release titles? I see you did with the new Bad Boys, but I wondered if that was still important these days. I guess you have customers mostly just renting new titles. I have almost ordered that VS annual subscription for years now. I plan to do it one time, but have never pulled the trigger. I have not gone into 4K, so am a little disappointed with those being prominent. Also didn't like that they moved the adult titles to a second label, so I might have missed the better years of the sub deal already.
Some great music documentaries are The Decline of Western Civilization parts 1-3 by Penelope Spheris. Taylor Hackfords Chuck Berry Hail Hail Rock N Roll, Westway to the World - The Clash, End of the Century the Story of the Ramones, Loud Quiet Loud - The Pixies, The Filth and the Fury a Sex Pistols film by Julien Temple and Some Kind of Monster was the curtain pulled back on Metallica.
Thank you! i look forward to watching every week. Though maybe contentiously, y favourite Mamet film is Spartan. maybe not everyone's choice but a very very underrated one.
Yeah the Vinegar Syndrome subscription was nice to have, but I needed more flexibility to my buying so had to opt out. Only buying what I really like. Would love to help Terror Vision out, but most of their titles are not my cup of tea. Found 5 titles I would like to own, but those 5 tiles had $50 shipping. Free shipping starts at $199 - 1.)They don't have enough titles that interest me to reach that threshold and 2.) $199 would break the EU's €150 import limit and would have to pay VAT + additional import customs tax.
@@Sculder22 Yeah, like I said in the vid, I worry that they've gone toooo niche. It would be great to have every movie on Blu, but some simply aren't going to sell
@@snipsmovies Yea I watch everything ... once, but don't really need to own movies like that. Most of the SOV stuff is one watch for me and they lean into it hard.
First shot and I see you have 'sex lives of the potato men' and I'm instantly transported to 2003, when I worked at choices video. We were given preview copies of some films on vhs to watch so we could recommend them to customers. I was given that potato men film and Blackball but I don't think anyone ever asked me for a recommendation. Happy times.
I used to intentionally annoy my brother by stating knockoffs were better than the classic originator. Fast and Furious better than Point Break, XXX better than True Lies, Hidden Agenda (Dolph film) was better than Eraser, The Minion was better than End of Days and Resurrection was better than Seven. Now of course none of those are true, however unlike most of those other rip offs Resurrection is genuinely great and I keep meaning to grab the Blu. It's a great cap off and probably the highlight of Lambert's solid AF 90s output.
The Bad Boys is actually the 4th one Dave, not my cup of tea either. Any chance you could recommend weekly on the show an 80s or 90s horror movie that wasn’t mainstream and we maybe went under the radar. Great show again.
I rented one this week called Madman from 1981, it's bad but in an enjoyable and charming way , if you like Friday 13th, Madman is kind of a summer camp setting horror

26:30 just an FYI, this is the first time Delirium has been released any where with the original Italian audio track.
