    as a temporary measure before you do the bushings take the metal spacer out and shave 2 or 3 mm off of it to tighten the bars up

      Let me tell you T Bars are the way to go. They are by far in my opinion the most comfortable. We all have been through the ape hanger phase and have all found that 1- they did not fit the look we were going for and 2- don't handle well in the corners when doing some spirited riding.
      T Bars have both comfort and give the confidence and control to handle the twisties!

    do you think those stock wires would still reach with a 14" san diego bar?
    Looks like all youd need is 2" on the brake line for the 14" also, or is the brake line sort of tight on those 12"?

      You should be fine, there should be plenty of wire and cable.

    Where did you get the bars and cable kit? Looking to put this exact kit on my 21 lowrider S

    • @2WheeledFilms
      @2WheeledFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bars are Lucky Dave’s.. check the link in the description for them.. We didn’t have to use a cable kit because the Street Bob already comes with 10” mini apes and the cables and wires are long enough for 12”.

    I have a 2021 softtail standard wanting to replace my apes for the hammer down apes not t bars was wondering are the ts you putting on 10inch or 12s was hoping I could get 12s on without having to extend wiring and brake lines etc what would you recommend. Cheers from New Zealand

    • @2WheeledFilms
      @2WheeledFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are 12” .. if you plan to internally wire you may need to extend with apes since there are more bar to run the wire though.

    Great job on the video, guys. Appreciate the effort. Any thoughts on whether I'd be able to pull off a 13.5-14" riser/bar combo without buying extended brake and clutch lines, and wiring (except for the gauge)?

    • @2WheeledFilms
      @2WheeledFilms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that 14" would be a stretch.. we have the 12" lucky daves and the brake line is just about where you want it to be. We could probably get away with a 1" riser with no issue.

    Hey, been looking for bars, but not sure if i need pullback risers or not. I have LaPera similar seat and im trying to get in more upright seating position. I'm 6'1" . How tall are you and do you feel more upright now? Thanks!

    • @2WheeledFilms
      @2WheeledFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zach is 6’2, he sits upright and is comfortable without a pullback, and the pull back will make him less upright if anything. His arms are a good distances from the bars, no stretch to the bar but also there isn’t a bend in his arms.

    im all late to the comments lol but i have a question if you can answer it to the best to your ability pleaseeeeeeeeeee!!!! im about 5'7 5'8 i want these san diego bars but idk if should do 12 or 14...... i also have a 2023 softail standard will these sizes even fit on my bike ????

    • @2WheeledFilms
      @2WheeledFilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Go 14”, we put 12” bars on and a few months later put 2” risers on. So they are a total of 14” now with no need to extend anything. If the standard comes stock with the mini apes like the street bob does you should be fine

    did you have to extend wires or cables???

    • @2WheeledFilms
      @2WheeledFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Didn’t have to extend any wires or cables.. if you go up to a 14” bar and re route some wires it would work but the clutch cable will be very tight. 12” is safe especially if you plan to internally wire them. We would recommend that if going to 14” you extend the wires and cables.
