    Jen reviews MSI's latest gaming flagship: The GS66 Stealth!
    Although it provides a high refresh rate display, a great keyboard and powerful performance for gaming, the GS66 Stealth has some serious flaws in its design and build quality, something that's hard to accept in a premium product.

      I would like to get a Razer blade advanced 15 2020, but the rate of failure is too high for me to justify getting one.

    After careful research I bought this laptop at best buy and so far I love this laptop and the build quality is premium and the mouse pad is made of silky glass which feels very smooth and this laptop has the most positive customer reviews on the best buy website which is important when comparing gaming laptops so do take that into consideration. I would definitely recommend the GS66!

      I am on the fence about getting one, I want a razer blade advanced 15 2020, but it seems that the rate of failure and lack of customer support is too high! How are the thermals with your gs66?

      @@brucebanner3566 I've had mines for bout 1 month. It can get a but loud when playing games but expected in a think laptop. The major flaw for me is the microphone is positioned right next to fans so gives a lot of feedback noise. I have to use a headset when video calling. Apart from that it's a powerhouse for sure in terms of performance.

    I just recently got this same laptop with 2070 GTX 16g ram and 1 TB SSD. I agree with this being a flagship product, but the one thing i see in common that evryone says is the physical structure & quality. If you're nitpicking over physical quality then dont get it, but it goes to say, who the hell is gonna push down on the laptop like that? Just dont be stupid, take care of it, & this will last you a good 10 years or longer.

    Thank you for your honest review! I just recently purchased the 2070 MaxQ version yesterday. I really like it a lot. What’s interesting, is out of all the reviews I’ve seen, you’re the only person who has mentioned the flex in the chassis...which it does have. Not a huge deal breaker, but something that has definitely been overlooked. I’m just glad it went on sale this weekend. The discount definitely made it feel on par with what I was paying for . It is now priced like the Asus M15. I couldn’t justify spending anymore, considering the 3000 series GPU’s are right around the coroner. What a huge, amazing step up!!!
    Thanks again! Look forward to more videos!!

      Would you rather have your gs66 or a razer blade advanced 15 2020?

    • @tommyv4787

      Bruce Banner The GS66 all day long!! The Razer is very overrated and all I hear are horror stories about their units failing, as well as really bad customer service. Overpriced pieces of junk. Linus Tech had to send in most of their units for being junk.

    I bought my son the Razer Blade 15.6" with the 10th Gen in, RTX 3060 with 512 Gb SSD, 144 Hz display and 16 Gb of RAM. Within 1 week, the Razer Blade started to show problens. The power button was not recognized. Moving the laptop or flexing the case was the only way to have it recognize the power button. I purchased it from Costco and thought the 2 year warranty would protect my purchase. The question is, would my son have issues with reliability. So I checked on TH-cam feedback and saw several negative reviews with cameras and poor customer service. I thought that was a big problem. Yes the Razer Blade case is far superior but the failure of powering the unit on would make the Razer Blade a very expensive block of rock. So I returned it and bought an MSI GS66. I already have an MSI GS65 and the only problem I had was the keyboard failure due to the ribbon cable being crimped. I fixed that and the GS65 has been running reliability from the day I purchased it on 07/2018.

    Well, you pay an extra 200$ for the razor blade 15. Plus you get a nice screen. So you are gonna get some sacrifices in materials. So I’m not sure why it’s considered too expensive being in the middle ground on pricing, and arguably better specs than a slightly cheaper m15 r2. So why are you saying it’s too expensive?

    • @ThinkViewGlobal
      @ThinkViewGlobal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saying it's too expensive is just a way of saying I don't think it's worth the money. Yes, the price is not out of place, but for any amount you spend, it's gotta be worth it.

    Too expensive? I have to disagree with that. Now the Razer Blade base is over priced! The GS66 Stealth is amazing device & I'm not experiencing of those "hinge" or "squeak" issues. It's a finger print magnet sure, but everything else is premium.

    How loud are the fans when you just do regular stuff, so no gaming etc. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering and will need a powerful laptop with a good quality GPU, but I'm just too worried the GS66 will be too loud in class. My biggest tasks will be 3D projects on engineer programs like SolidWorks.

    Hi, thank you to make this kind of content, it's really useful, I have the same computer as you, I bought it last week, it happens that in certain moments the computer noise increases too much just by using the internet, not to mention when I try to start rendering in C4D the noise is too much is crazy, there is some way to know how to configure it better, I'm worried that I have a defective computer, I would appreciate it very much if you can help me or maybe inform how to get a solution,

    Hi. I love the stealth look of gs66 and upgradeability but i heard thermals are very bad. Using chrome excel Netflix etc only how are the thermals? Does undervolting help?

    • @blablub8227
      @blablub8227 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      i would be surprised if the fans would even go on while doing such light work(chrome, netflix and stuff). It gets louder and hotter once you do heavy work or start gaming on it.
      Nevertheless undervolting never hurts and you should always do it on a laptop

      why don't u go to best buy and check one out. The speakers are way louder than what these reviewers claim. I was shocked on how great they sounded & thermals are superb! Btw the battery gets me 7-10hrs on average. That's spectacular for a gaming computer.
