You say your journey is nothing special but there are very few runners who ever achieve a sub 3 marathon!! That is truly awesome. I’m 50 and have run 10 marathons. Finally qualified for Boston last year with a 3:45!! I fly out on Thursday and I am beyond excited!!!! 🦄🦄🦄

It is truly amazing how running can change lives - and get us through the tough times. I'm currently training for my first marathon in May and have found your videos super helpful and inspirational. Hi Amy! I went down a Boston Marathon TH-cam rabbit hole this evening, and I stumbled upon your page. So far, I’ve really appreciated all of your helpful insights and your authentic style is a breath of fresh air.
After watching this video, I realized that my story is crazy similar to yours. I got hooked on running 4 years, recently joined a running club to help me improve, just learnt I need to get proper “race shoes”, and I’m running my first Boston this year (aiming for sub-3). I also live in Boston, and I’ve been doing my long runs with Tracksmith :)

Hi Dan! Thank you for your kind words 😊 and that’s so fun to hear! I hope you have an amazing time in Boston and yay for Tracksmith (I could spend all of my money there lol).

Thank you for sharing your running story. I enjoyed listening to it. I wear bifocals but do not wear either glasses or contacts when I run. I just follow the crowd or hope that I do not need to read small print. My first marathon was the 2021 Buffalo Marathon. Unfortunately, it was about 24 C at race time and about 26.7 C when I finished. Though I finished (3:48), I became dehydrated and needed to go to the medical tent at the end. I ran the Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon in 2019 and really enjoyed the experience.

Thanks, Tom! Oh dear, I’m sorry your first marathon was so warm. That’s really tough and I’m glad you were okay! Oh, that’s so fun we both did that race in 2019! It’s a great race for sure.
