What are your favourite shoes (easy run, speed, etc) to run in at the moment? ☺

I picked up Boston 10 for $50 on SVP sports earlier this year and retired it after 500KM. Really loved the shoe for easy and long runs. Then, I picked up a Boston 12 on Black Friday and it's blister city. These days, I just buy previous models on sale but I'll probably get the Alphafly 3 when it comes out in Canada for racing.

@@young-spark oh no, that’s too bad about the blisters! Yes, the alphafly 3 looks so good. If I didn’t just get the Vaporfly 3s, I would totally get that one too!

Saving this!! So super helpful :) I am a beginner runner running my first half marathon in October and it's helpful to see examples of not just "good" running shoes but shoes that are good for various aspects of training.

Hey Amy, I do all my long runs of up to 30km in Speed 3s. I liked them so much I brought a 2nd pair on sale which I took out of the box today and did straight away 28km run. Like you I try to buy last model. Saying that I also used the speed 2 for my long runs. If i'm doing a long run with some marathon work then I turn to my old racing shoes like NB Elite 1 after doing 3 marathons in them. Still heaps of life but not willing to do the race in them. I'm still currently running in NB Elite 2 which I did my last marathon in and will do another this April. I also had the sky and edge 1 and can't run more than 30km in them so I race the 10k in the edge and when that is done I will use the sky for the 10k race. I do about 8 or 9 10km races so I'll have them awhile I think.

I’m glad you like the Speed 3s and that they’re good for long runs! I’m enjoying them as well. All of my long runs have a workout in them, so it’s tricky finding a shoe that has a plate and enough cushioning for a longer run. I hope your training is going well though for your April race!!

@@amyspurrcaveney I think you'll find the 3s with enough cushion and, hate to say it, snappy enough for a workout long run. I would use the speeds for that but what would i do with my old marathon shoes otherwise.

I noticed the Puma Forever Run was on your list of shoes. I just bought them but haven't run in them yet. I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep them. What are your thoughts on the shoes and how did you like them?

They were a gift and I really enjoyed them! They were a firmer shoe compared to my other shoes but not in a bad way, just different. I think I prefer to use my Saucony speed’s or pro’s for workouts, rather than the puma’s. However, the puma grip is amazing and so good in rainy conditions!!
