I wish I could have found the plunger tube from WORKER I did a little trimming at to get to fit inside the Slingfire. You might be better off waiting for that before trying to install the breech. I think it's more than possible to get 150+ fps out of this thing with a better spring and plunger tube.
@@WalcomS7 well I won't have a choice now since I literally just f*cked up mine by removing the AR in the pusher and lubricating the seals.. it now shot 5 feet away if I'm lucky.. I have the worker metal gear and sled + 12kg spring coming up, I'll look for the retaliator prophecy pushrod and plunger tube, the tube seems to have the same pattern of the slingfire one so I hope I won't rage too much for fitting it in ! Just too bad they don't offer brass or alloy part for full length dart, half dart looks kind of silly in this blaster
Do I think the metal priming bar and gears are worth the money? Yes. But the short dart kit? No. The Slingfire was never going to be a Retaliator or a Longshot. What makes the Slingfire so awesome is exactly that it's not a performance blaster it's a fun blaster that you customize how you want it
I'd say it's defo worth the $24 price tag you can find the kit for some places if you want the Slingfire for its aesthetics *and* want it to be viable for superstock gameplay. I don't even have the metal gears or bar and it's handling this kit well at 139-140fps avg.
I'm not a big collector of neft blasters or anything, but I still have a few. And yesterday I finally got my hands on a used Slingfire for about $5. It has been my dream gun for a few years, because I love the winchester type mechanism. But still I undestand that is a gimmick above everything else. I don't know if its worth the money and the trouble to make it work better than other blasters when you could just buy a better one. My two cents came a bit late, but oh well. Happy to finally have one of these
Not sure I can't find it listed anywhere, but someone told me the spring in the kit is a 7kg. I'm getting 139fps avg with mine using ACC3 darts vs only 118fps avg with Worker darts. I also didn't find it very hard to install, just a bit of back and forth with the breech piece to get it to sit in there just right. I haven't splurged on the metal bar or gears yet since my stock ones seem to be handling it just fine so far.
Did you ever get a worker plunger tube in it I busted my tub trying to get dam thing together the o rings are so tite half the time my dart don’t even shoot sometimes it does I glued it back together but I’m loosing air really frustrating I think I’m going to give it a try
@@WalcomS7 if you do a load out for it I would definitely recommend a shell catching bag of some sort fixed to the side. Apart from power that's the only inconvenience of the blaster. Honestly would love to see a load out.
Since getting my feet wet in the half dart world I'm slowly converting my whole arsenal to fire half darts so I was looking at this kit for my slingfire. The barrel is not my thing.
Slightly depressing. I just put the metal priming bar in mine and it's getting about the same without the long barrel. I think I either need to figure out how to brass it or ditch the barrel entirely which is disappointing.
Well you did a spring upgrade, right? I mean you probably know this but in the off chance you don't: metal priming bar just lets you take a higher spring load. Higher springs help, but after a while the air pressure doesn't have time to accelerate the dart and you cap out your velocity. Longer barrels give more time for the dart to accelerate and maximize the air pressure. If the barrel is too long for the air pressure given then it imparts drag and slows down the dart.
@@WalcomS7 yes I know this but the barrel in question is the terrin3dprint Winchester barrel from etsy. It's got the same issue as the one you showed with not having any support on top but it's considerably longer so even more barrel drag. Even with the upgraded spring it barely got twenty to thirty foot ranges. Switched back to the stock barrel and it's hitting much harder but I lose the Winchester aesthetic that I wanted. Kind of a double edged sword at this point.
Hey man, love what you do for the hobby. I understand your tumultuous relationship with the slingfire, I have one and I love it but I just Nerf with my ten year old son. I haven’t modded yet but have you tried the 8brothers metal gear and priming handle set?
Hey can anybody help me with a mod integration i want to make a strongarm have stryfe internals or a stryfe to be drop cylinder fed like the strong arm
If you've got some experience doing mods (Rewiring, cutting shells, integrating stuff) you could cut the front half of the stryfe off and then cut most of the barrel and shell out from the front, then cut the strong arm's barrel and shell to fit the stryfe's flywheel cage in front of the darts, and wire it to a rev switch, and just make it so it's still a springer using the springer's air shot to push it into the flywheels, add a barrel on both sides of the flywheel cage so that the dart flys straight (On the side with the strong arm cylinder you might need to make it a bit of a funnel so that if the cylinder wiggles when firing it doesn't jam and the dart still gets into the barrel). I've got no idea if it'd actually work, but it makes sense to me
@@isaacwildflower214 thanks that should work to me it sounds like do the integration and make it like a afterburner jolt just internaly and not externally

With some practice you can almost compete with other faster priming blasters and looking cool in a 3 days zombie survival horror game is worth it.
they are $16 dollars apiece on walmart.com for slingfire if people are looking
It is an option. But as you said, the Sentinel still does a bit better, but this could do neat things if tuned correctly.

So many sling fire kits. What about a scavenger kit worker, (correct me if there already is one
I don't think so. Maybe there's some cross-compatibility there though.
If you don’t add the extra barrel will it not work correctly because I’m not sure if you have to put something in the barrel as well

How about using it in the scravenger for extra sweet aesthetics?
Hey walcom, does this kit work for the Sentinel as well?
Where did you salvage/get/find that endcap for the stock?. It looks sweet, and gives it a nice Mare's Leg look.
I didn't build this one, I traded Xavier for it, but it's just the cap off the Sentinel.
What about remove slingfire blaster trigger guard?
