The barrel rotation being connected to the belt feeding mechanism means it'll spin faster when you increase the rate of fire.... I love it. You might be able to prevent jams by storing the belt in a backpack and having a sleeve going between the backpack and the blaster, like the MOAB.
@@harlannguyen4048 I suppose you could split a backpack into two compartments and have two chains feeding out of the left and right sides for dual-wielding. I'd rather have one chain per blaster, but a custom link every 10 shots to delink a section of chain could be useful.
What a solid balance between being an actually effective blaster (at least, for a mini-gun), and also being sized large enough to be a good prop weapon.

I should probably clarify that I’m pretty new to the hobby. Just learned how to solder last year working on a spectrum as my first mod. So unless there’s a dedicated kit and step by step instructional video there’s not much I can do

Remember the Quadrot? 😃 A while back, I used 2 of them to make (essentially) a half-sized, direct-prime Roughcut with dual triggers. Has a couple disadvantages; without extensive shell modification, the handle becomes extremely wide, and I had to shave down the triggers a bit in order to reach both of them with one finger. That being said, all I did was sand down the raised details on the mating sides, add a couple locating pins, (not essential), use a piece of half-inch plywood between the handles as a brace, and drill out 4 of the screw holes to add through-bolts. It works AWESOME! Definitely worth trying, even if you just tape them together! ☺

Huh. Heavy Arms. So you said at the end there that the belt can shed darts. But the chain can be looped. Now I'm thinking an enclosed ammo box that wraps around to pull chain from one side and eject into the other, with just enough front to back play to let the links move through. Add a roller on the front of the feed side to nudge darts back into the link and now you don't need to worry about shedding darts. And if you're modding that much, next you can link two of them top to top and rewire the triggering system further forward, with a sleeve-style forearm brace to fire the whole thing one-handed. ... Doing the midair backflips is the hard part though.

Not seen your content in a while, but I think the impossible became possible. You could theoretically make a TF2 Sentry gun that can be used with a laser to automatically aim and fire without ever touching the blaster. Holy moly, the possibilities are endless.

My nephew just got one but usually the bullets don't even make it out of the barrel. Other times they'll drip out of the barrel I've only seen them actually fire on 2 occasions and it wasn't at a good speed Any ideas why? I'm guessing it's the batteries.. They used 4x solid brand but 2x cheapo no name-o.. Either way I'm going to replace the eneloops I gave to another nephew but I hope that'll be the fix

I thought of an idea a short while ago and it boggles my mind that nobody's done this before: How about a legit gatling springer that uses a crank to feed? Sure, it wouldn't be able to be used while carrying and need a tripod or mount of some kind, but it could be either chain fed, or magazines would fit into the top of it, just like the OG gatling. Oh, and the Rage Fire? MUST OWN!!

This is everything the Vtwin wanted to be. Firing mechanism is a little better. Has an almost identical, probably compatible chain, yet even that can be stacked and pulled apart no problem. it has a slightly higher muzzle velocity, and much better sustained fire. The shell is a little better, actually coming with a chain rest built into the blaster itself, and of course, the tripod.
This is exactly what I wanted to see! Heavyarms minigun! Now we just need a Unicorn minigun montage! I'd probably glue the connector on those rails. I can't see a use case for firing 2 separate miniguns, better to have a stable, double or quadruple minigun.

You can time both miniguns to double the firerate and maybe even mod both fire rates and make a mechanism that times both perfectly; which may make the total firerate to be like 1000 - 1200 rpm.
I don't know why TH-cam recommended this video but now I want one so I can 3D print a trigger mechanism for four of them together and a rail system that also holds the guns together in a more stable way and allows the bullets to not get tangled up.

I want this and several belts specifically to be a turret on a bunker. Maybe a couple. Decent rate of fire, easily extendable chains, tripod, everything is perfect for bunker defense.
You know, you could try to mount two more on the sides of the minigun and pretty much have 3 miniguns on one tripod assuming that you can somehow make it so the third one can also be fired

To keep the darts from falling out you could make a box for the chain that attaches to the side a lot like many other belt fed lmg’s have. That would also make running around easer because you don’t have to worry about a long chain dragging on the ground
Highly recommend this thing. Super affordable and works very well. You have to use this thing with the speed of the heavy though, because if you run the dart may fall out of the belt.

So do newer versions skip darts less? I bought one last year but it has a massive problem with skipping darts.

Because every time I did a range test about 8-14% of people clicked away. My views actually went up when I stopped doing them.

I just glued some foam from cut off darts into the back of the chain to act as spacers, so it now takes half lengths ;)

I had a minigun around 2008ish. I cant remember the brand, but it had hard rubber tips on the darts, it dented walls.
I need to look into belt-fed, flywheel blasters for making NERF 3D printed Light, Medium and Heavy MGs!
Man the Vulcan was almost double this price for a notoriously inconsistent blaster. We have come extremely far in NERF
Yeah but the Vulcan was an electronic springer, way more complex than the flywheels here.
@@WalcomS7 oh, believe me, I know that much. I am OBSESSED with all things AEGs, but the Vulcan in particular just wasn’t super great, especially compared to the Stampede, at least in my opinion

I want this and several belts specifically to be a turret on a bunker. Maybe a couple. Decent rate of fire, easily extendable chains, tripod, everything is perfect for bunker defense.

You know, you could try to mount two more on the sides of the minigun and pretty much have 3 miniguns on one tripod assuming that you can somehow make it so the third one can also be fired

Just put a dewalt battery on my son’s, the rate of fire is amazing. Waiting on someone to make mod parts for it but the battery upgrade is amazing.

Random fact regarding scoped heavy machien guns.
US added scopes to Ma Deuces (.50 cals) in Vietnam and for a long time Marine Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock held the record for longest confimed sniper termination using a scoped heavy one. (1967-2002)
To keep the darts from falling out you could make a box for the chain that attaches to the side a lot like many other belt fed lmg’s have. That would also make running around easer because you don’t have to worry about a long chain dragging on the ground
I have two, my tripod broke on one, but I stacked two of them on top of each other, and it was AWESOME
Highly recommend this thing. Super affordable and works very well. You have to use this thing with the speed of the heavy though, because if you run the dart may fall out of the belt.
