I am late but with the Z strike line I noticed the “newer” the blaster the more DIY it gets. As in NERF is saying the apocalypse is going on longer and longer.
The one thing they get right
Well I don't think it's meant to mean anything I think they just wanted to give the zombie strike guns their own aesthetic instead of them just being the same as standard guns but green and I really like the way the newer guns look

How is it that this blaster was released only 2 years ago???? We went from a pretty innovative blaster like the Scravenger to Elite 2.0 and Ultra in just 2 years
Don’t question nerfs stupidity
The Scravenger, a "Trash" blaster, works. Unlike a certain blaster. Cough Cough WARDEN Cough
Nerf/Hasbro got lazy. Between then and now, something happened that really deteriorated the engineering quality of current blasters, either something in R&D is wrong or (and more likely) it's simply greed on Hasbro's part by continuing to cheap out on the quality of their toys.
They know that they'll still sell plenty of blasters to kids who don't know any better or simply don't care, so they have no reason to go back to innovating or improving until the Nerf brands starts hurting financially.
at this rate i just buy dartzone, cheaper and better

I am better with my home made my own homemade attachment i did it by wait im going to tell how i did it last time was going to get some nerf guns and the place i was getting nerf guns from was soo good it had so much nerf guns and i bought 3/4 of the nerfs guns i had not that much money but when i can home a attachment was missing the top of the attachment so i got cardboard and made a plus sign with a square frame so i can aim better to shot my Neighbors also i got nerf nerf gun mega talon and the i got another one at wallmart and i got the nerf elite 2.0 Phoenix and i put the scope back wherds so i can aim better soo yeah scopes can help u aim better

I just really like how the sling fire works. But I only want a lever action blaster so I can prime it like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2.

That was a great movie
There's a lever action shotgun that looks like the shotgun in terminator 2. Don't know if you can one hand prime though. It's like 100-119 bucks. Check Amazon I saw it there. It is a toy, uses darts that need to be inserted into shells that need to be inserted into the back, holds 5 shells at a time, ejects when you pull the lever back after firing. It's metal though apparently looks realistic like a actual shotgun in 1 version and purple white in another
You can kinda do it with the slingfire (possibly the scravenger but I don’t have that so I can’t test)
Every reviewer misses the point of the ZOMBIE Strike line, it’s supposed to be set in an apocalytic setting, and like most apocalyptic themes, everyday items are used to make weapons. So yeah, it is a screwdriver handle, and the priming bar is a pair of pliers

Well, you could hollow it out with a drill and glue in a flashlight circuit. That being said, unless there was some kind of small cleanout plug in the back or it was USB rechargeable, changing the battery (or batteries) would be a pain. Using PVC pipe for the body would be the best root in my opinion.

You know what I just thought of? A Lever-Action Revolver sidearm in the Zombie Strike line. Kind of a hybrid of Scravenger and Hammershot. Compact, probably increase the cylinder to hold 7 or 8 rounds, keep it short, and keep the relative profile of a sidearm/pistol. That'd be neat.

The light actually is a pretty good light. In a low-light/no-light situation, it is pretty bright

Nerf should make a blaster that is literally called "Le tacticool jolt reskin" just because of coop being the best TH-camr ever. It should also have a barrel attachment point on the front, a stock attachment point, and two tacticool rails. I hope some people like my idea.

So it's basically Captain Xavier's Tactical jolt(yes, that is a thing, look it up on youtube). Sounds cool though, I'm pretty sure Coop would explode if they made something like that... =P
I like this idea but to make a jolt reskin with 2 tactical rails and a barrel extention point that would be a pain because jolts are usually quite compact.

I'm awfully late but...
Even though this blaster makes the Slingfire obsolete compared to the Scravenger, I will always prefer the cosmetic design of the Slingfire over the Scravenger's.

Honestly still think I would prefer the Slingfire. Great sleek design that didn’t have any of the unnecessary bulk a lot of other nerf guns have. I think Slingfire also had a better avg muzzle velocity. Plus doing the one handed hip fire shot with the gun is a lot of fun. Honestly I think the only improvement is slam fire mode
Can we appreciate how he barely changes anything in his reviews nowadays then 4 years ago? He even use the same images for waffle head darts.
Here's how the Scravenger was born:
Once, a dude saw a zambie slayer slay zambies with a lever action blaster called Slingfire, so he decided to find one. After a lot of fails, he finally found one, but soon he realise the flaws, so he decided to modify it on his workshop. After several mods (some gone out of hand), his prototype was ready, and called it "Scravenger".
Then one day, he saved the zambie slayer with his new empowered blaster (and his backpack Jolt). Now, the zambie slayer also want a Scravenger.

Actually, I think lever action is comparable to pump action for practicality. Your priming apparatus is right where you would normally be resting your hand, so you can get a decent rate of fire going. Also, if I were to buy a Scravenger, I would upgrade the spring, pull out the air restrictor, and probably replace the LED in the tac light for a brighter one.

Lever action blasters can be competitive, but not normally as a front line, close range blaster, but more of a marksman rifle. Although with this one it’s good that they were more accommodating to run and gun players with the inclusion of slam fire
You know what Nerf needs? How about a double stacked magazine(If you don't know what i mean, look it up on Wikipedia, you'll see what i mean)? This could allow for an 18 round stick mag to become a 28-30 round Nerf magazine. This could be done, although with quite a few engineering challenges and an upped cost. This would also renders drums useless, but i still think it would be cool.
The KGB The only issue is that nerf darts are uber squishy, the darts would need to be much more rigid to work well in a double configuration. If they were made of plastic with internal ribbing it could work, but im not sure how flywheels would fair.
Exactly what i was thinking. Maybe a casket magazine instead(again, look up on Wikipedia), but with two single stack Nerf rounds on two sides of a thin wall? That might overcome the problem, but Nerf darts need to be resigned anyway, so who knows. Both could work, but the casket would be bulkier.

I actually like this blaster. It fits really well with the post-apocalypse theme as a, as the name suggest, scavenger's weapon. It looks like it's made of random bits of junk, and while it's not the greatest blaster you'll see on the field, it kinda adds to the scrap theme.

One time my friend tried to shoot me with the zombie strike crossbow “The 4-dart one” at my back at he shot it when I was literally a foot away from him and I felt nothing cause it didn’t even shoot far it just pooped the dart out and we both laughed so hard

Had a slingfire for 3 years now, still works perfectly.... I broke some parts probably cos I'm able to prime it twice without using the override switch.... But anyway, its time to upgrade cos there's an upgraded model (obviously) but still, in my opinion, the slingfire is among the best blasters I have..

This is actually a good hvz blaster, fires slow when you need it, fast when you need it aswell, it can be a small package or decked out with accessories.

This looks like a fusion between 3 guns: the modulus, the hammershot and the slingfire.
Love the waffles on screen for wafflehead testing, still cracks me up!!
Seems like a fun niche blaster, that stock & dubble trubble jolt reskin make it an attractive set, that barrel extension will look great with a custom paint job! I like that its so open inside, so no barrel drag at all, which is best imo for any barrel extension.
Not sure if you got it yet, but a current dart video would be great! Bunch of new flinging foam on the market, & your testing procedures are quite above par!!

you can actually use the 2 shot jolt as a shotgun by only slightly pushing it into the barrels. this fires both at the same time making it the smallest Nerf shotgun I know of.
