Some horse owners at Singapore Turf Club eye early exit, will not stay until final race

- Some horses at the Singapore Turf Club will be moved out as early as August, with owners and trainers saying it is too expensive to stay until the final race in October next year. Some financial help is streaming in to subsidise costs for the horses, but observers said it is not enough to deter some owners from leaving. Malaysia’s racecourses said they expect to be affected by the closure of the Singapore Turf Club, as the latter has been a steady source of racehorses for them all these years. Tharman not around when Geylang Serai Bazaar stallholders complain
Tharman’s appearance in the Saturday’s event seems to show his sudden interest in the welfare of Geylang Serai despite the fact that he is not a Member of Parliament of the constituency. Tharman is an MP of Jurong GRC.
But three months ago, when the Geylang Serai Bazaar controversy erupted, he was nowhere to be found. At the time, stallholders were complaining about the high rental costs at the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar.
All are moving to Horse X Park in Johor.

Horse racing is abusing horses to run at such speeds that they end up having lungs that bleed from over exertion or painful/fatal injuries which means they get slaughtered as meat. This is medieval in this day and age.
