    She snorts a lot and is a loud breather! Look into nostril/palette surgery for her breathing... it will make her have such a better quality of life. This was not your fault, it's 100% on whenever the breeders were. Poor girl, thanks for at least feeding her well. Also you need some organs in her meals like chicken liver, and give her a fish oil (omega-3) supplement every day!

      For the first 6-9 months of their lives, their breeder fed them a mixture of kibbles and raw. During their quarantine after importing, they were on a kibble diet for 30 days, so after I got them, I slowly introduced minced meat back into their diets. One of my frenchies loved it, the other was resistant to the meat initially, but after a few days they eat the meat first haha

    Is this supposed to be like an everyday food? Or more like a once in a while?
    Does feeding them raw make them get big? As in muscle wise?

    • @BellaOliFrenchie
      @BellaOliFrenchie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup everyday is fine, I mix the protein up by alternating between chicken and beef, can also switch their carbs around with broccoli etc.
      Feeding them raw gives you the control over what they eat, eg leaner protein, more protein, vitamins etc. Sometimes it is difficult to tell what are in kibbles.
      I started their raw diet because they refused to eat their kibbles, and were getting skinny, so I gave them raw and they began eating more. But as of today, they started to eat kibbles too, so I am feeding a mixture of kibbles with raw, 50-50 every meal

      Hi! For me it's cheaper. I have a small dog (4,5 kg) and when I fed my dog kibble it cost me about 600 czk (around 29 USD) a month and now feeding raw costs me approx. 1100 czk (51 USD) for 2 months so it's definitely cheaper. And it isn't the cheapest I could get. It includes beef (meat, organs), rabbit (meat, bones), horse meat, lamb meat (+green tripes), salmon, sardines, chicken (organs, bones, meat), turkey (meat+bones), duck meat, game, pork (meat, organs) and quail meat. Plus plenty of veggies and fruits (pumpkin, apples, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, salads, spinach, cucumbers, beetroot, cabbage etc.

    I feed a Medium Sized, Mini Bull Terrier for around .40 cents a Day, including the Bones/Chicken Necks...
    Just added a Frenchie Pup and have started successfully introducing Raw, I estimate she will cost around 10 - 15 cents a Day...
    I also use a specialised Dry Vegetable/Seed/Legume/Pro-Biotic Feed Mix designed to supplement Raw Feeding, that is soaked in Boiling Water left to cool over 24 Hours to release the micronutrients. The supplementary micronutrients are digested while the rest is just "Roughage" & Fibre that is passed naturally.
    *Animal Husbandry Bonus:*
    The supplementary Vegetable & Seed Mix creates a very "Neat" Toileting Routine, with stools that contain a 50-70% "Roughage" mix of Seeds & Fibre which is a highly valued food source for various Birds, who if left to their own devices make very light work of removing all the valuable seeds & plant matter in record time leaving only a few "crumbs" of remaining Dog Turd to remove from the Grass or Garden, while cutting down the volume of waste quite substantially & of course the necessary Husbandry labour involved in the chore of Toileting too ☺️

    • @bullterror5
      @bullterror5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no intention of promoting any specific "Brand" here, but wanted to refer to the supplementary Vegetable & Seed Mix I use for general information about the additional food types to Meat, Eggs, Bones & Organs that are included in feeding a Balanced Raw Diet...
      The Pre-Prepared Mix is produced by an Australian business called "Vets All Natural" - developed, as it implies by a Working Vet with the intention of providing easy access to supplementary nutrients which can be often missed by new Raw Feeding "Pet Chef" Owners or those with limited access to whole carcasses such as Rabbit/Chicken/Fish from hunting expeditions or by buying meat from hunters (Varieties of Organs, Furs, Feathers, Scales, Raw Bones, Fermented Vegetables, Fruits, Grains or Seeds from Stomach, Tendons, etc)
      Checking out the list of ingredients may also help to inform a new Raw Feeding Menu for some people who may want to double check they're meeting Nutritional requirements or for those who may want to create their own Raw Diet supplementary Vegetable mix...
