Thank you! Yeah even though this was intended to be a first impressions video since the lenses were new to me, I plan to do a more comprehensive “long term owner review” of the platform. Glad you enjoyed!
You get a huge range of options with these two. Not sure what you typically photograph, but with as relatively inexpensive as the 28P is compared to the rest of the lineup, I think it’s a no-brainer to snag it if you’re already seriously considering the 90V. Be sure to check out my other videos where I use the 90V if you’re still on the fence!
My daughter just bought the Hassy 907. I’m looking at the X2D being a former Hassy film user. Thanks for the vid, you convinced me the 28mm will be a good get along with the 90. My main concern is the speed cause I’ve got the Q3 and am loving it.
I’ve been really interesting in trying the Q3! A friend of mine has a Q2… maybe I can borrow it for a day…. 🤔 I’ve got a video coming up in the next few weeks going over the 907X and the 500CM and how you can use them together. 👍
Working on finding some time to film some stuff with the 90V this week/weekend! Hope to get that video together in the next week or two, so stay tuned. Will likely be using the X2D for that one, also.
Thank you! The X2D is definitely my "workhorse" camera. I absolutely love it, especially for the additional features like the IBIS you mentioned. In really bright conditions, too, it is nice to have that viewfinder which the 907X doesn't have. Where I think the 907X excels though is that it's such a (relatively) small design (especially for a medium format camera) so it's super easy to toss in a bag as a daily carry. I also really love how Hasselblad made it functional with their 500-series film cameras. I'll likely do a whole video on that (using the modern digital back on a vintage film body) in the future! If you're interested in seeing a more in depth comparison or a side by side kind of thing, let me know!
If you’re still on the fence, check out my other video where I do a first impressions of the 90V. It’s an excellent lens, but the focal length is definitely more specific in its use cases. Hands On With The Hasselblad XCD 90V and First Impressions th-cam.com/video/k_kVEbhXoFU/w-d-xo.html
Yes! Actually each lens from them sounds a little different. Since they’re leaf shutters in the lens themselves, they’ll all bit a bit different depending on the size and aperture. The shutter sound in the video is actually captured from their 35mm-75mm zoom lens, not the 28P. The 28P is VERY quiet, almost silent, whereas the 90V has a much more decided click to it.
Nice to see someone make a video who owns the lenses and system. A lot of reviewers just borrow them. Nice video

Thinking about picking up the same two

Great video! I love my X2D! I'd like to see what that 90 can do.

@@PavornocPhotography brother, I hear that one. I haven’t been able to shoot anything in weeks. But, maybe I’ll find some time soon.
Did not care of your location selection, but love your Hasselblad choice

Nice video, how do you like the 907 vs the x2d? I have the x2d for the IBIS, but was curious about the operability of the 907.

Just bought the 28p though haven’t used it. Next up was the 90 though at 2x the cost of old 90mm I’m not sure it’s worth it for me

Have you noticed the different shutter sound between 28P and 90 when using lens shutter?
