I'll bet you that no broadcaster will mention Imus' brilliant satire from the 1970s and early1980s. All pre-Stern, pre-TV and pre-Internet. That's the Imus I know and respect.

Don Imus: "I don't care if my rainbow freezes, as long as I have my plastic Jesus riding on the dashboard of my car, I can go 100 miles an hour as long as I got the all mighty power glued up there with my pair of fuzzy dice". Every morning I would hear that on my way to work and every time I could not stop laughing.

Rest easy my friend. You were a role model for people who had alcohol problems like myself. To get sober, and never look back after all the years of drinking is a God given miracle. You were blessed my brother. I know you're in a greater place. Love you

I used to love listening to Imus on MSNBC, before it became such a radical network, and his back and forth with sidekick, Charles McCord. He was a great interviewer and would call it like he saw it, much like President Trump, who was one of his regular guests. Imus also had a tender heart toward the suffering of others. Condolences to his family.
