Intake rubbers were always a pain to refit. I had my 15 year old for 10 years and replaced 1/Vacuum valve fuel tap 2/Camshafts 3/Valves 4/Cam chain and guides 5/Blanked off the anti dive, never worked right. 6/Rear damper 7/Rear damper bushes 8/Ignition leads, they dry out and crack in the bends. 9/Had new anti ice carbs on a Kawasaki call back. 10/ New crankshaft shells and reground crank when the oil pump got starved because the oil strainer got bunged up with silicone sealant (never use).

I have an A1 model and removing/reinstalling the carburettors is a real pain.

I would soak a rag in hot water and wrap around the rubbers to soften them up.

@@flybobbie1449 Before I soaked them in nail varnish remover. The acetone rejuvenates the compound and makes them soft again.
You can try to heat whit a hairdryer to soften the rubber.
Yes I heard about it but new originals did not cost very much so I changed them
