You are right about them only attacking player otherwise occupied fighting the Goids, I got killed by one of these cmdrs while fighting the Thargoids, I respawned in Jameson and went straight back into the fight, the cmdr who had sneakily killed me was still out there ,I locked on and started hitting him, the coward immediately Hyperpaced out!
No doubt, I usually switch the chat to my squadron chat but as soon as I dropped in the credits just rolled in and I was making a killing (which is rare) so I didn’t even notice the chat until editing the video.
The same jokers wanted to nerf private groups and solo play because "it influences the BGS and Powerplay and it's not fair". The only reason of course was that they didn't want players to have a way to play without getting ganked. They get their rocks off if they find a new player in a Sidewinder and being able to just delete them in an instant. All because the bounty and crime system in ED is just broken by design.
best thing to do is, once you find out they are a goof ganker, block them, then they can never get to you again , even in open, I won't let these bastards force my play style to solo or a player group, fk that. Remember that they are of a low IQ, there are many ways to outsmart them outside of the actual combat .
Yup, next time you log into open after blocking (block, quit game and load back in) them they will be blocked from your instance. Sometimes in heavily infested ganker areas, I sit in the station, watch the chat, find out who the gankers are and go on a mass blocking spree. Because in a clean open area with CMDRS who play the game properly it’s helpful against thargoids, because in solo thargoids are really hard because the npc’s don’t do sht
@@GenX80sKid blocking doesn't work if there is a lot of people, fun fact. The person you blocked will be able to get into the same instance as you because there are other people who don't have them blocked. That's peer-to-peer for you.
That’s very true but I always point out in the chat who the gankers are or direct message the non ganker players who just want to fight thargoids as a team with the name of the ganker(s) and tell them to immediately block them and why, but regardless of that, it’s still not completely foolproof and doesn’t catch all the cockroaches🪳
2K views on this game.....I think you are on to something here. Honestly i do not know or understand this game😅but i see u uploading it alot. Interesting game tho.
It's the luck of the draw,...... this game is Epic, It's been out for 40 years as of September 20th 2024, obviously it didn't always look like this but this updated version of the game was released in 2015 and I've been playing it since then, I've got thousands of hours invested in it, It's like the dark souls of space games, super huge learning curve, it will make a person break many controllers from rage at first, but 10 years on I still learn new sht and I love it and play it all the time, but I only upload the good stuff because there is a lot of other stuff that is not really that fun to watch.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you ever decide to try this game out, DON'T BUY IT ON CONSOLE, they only support and develop new content for the PC version of the game and stopped development on console in 2022.
It takes a little while to wear down their shield with lasers, make sure that you’ve got a completed Xeno scan on the cyclops, easiest way is to stack the scanner in the same fire group as one of your beam lasers and then when you’re frying it with your laser you’re not only transferring your heat to the Cyclops- (if you have thermal venting experimental effect added in engineering) -becoming somewhat invisible/un-targetable but you’re simultaneously scanning it, then in your sub target menu you can choose a heart to focus your laser and multi cannons on, It took me a while to get hit points on these mofos too, some of my first AX combat videos I was just shooting for ever with no results. Just keep at it and you will hone a play style that works on them, as long as you have AX weapons or Guardian Tech, I’ve got another ship built with guardian plasma chargers but I cannot get the same results…YET, I need to work on lining up shots with non gimballed weapons.
Yeah. You only damage them by hitting and destroying the hearts when they become vulnerable. So make sure you xeno scan them and you can lock onto the exposed heart!
