It takes a little while to wear down their shield with lasers, make sure that you’ve got a completed Xeno scan on the cyclops, easiest way is to stack the scanner in the same fire group as one of your beam lasers and then when you’re frying it with your laser you’re not only transferring your heat to the Cyclops- (if you have thermal venting experimental effect added in engineering) -becoming somewhat invisible/un-targetable but you’re simultaneously scanning it, then in your sub target menu you can choose a heart to focus your laser and multi cannons on, It took me a while to get hit points on these mofos too, some of my first AX combat videos I was just shooting for ever with no results. Just keep at it and you will hone a play style that works on them, as long as you have AX weapons or Guardian Tech, I’ve got another ship built with guardian plasma chargers but I cannot get the same results…YET, I need to work on lining up shots with non gimballed weapons.

best thing to do is, once you find out they are a goof ganker, block them, then they can never get to you again , even in open, I won't let these bastards force my play style to solo or a player group, fk that. Remember that they are of a low IQ, there are many ways to outsmart them outside of the actual combat .

​@@GenX80sKiddoes blocking them prevent them ganking you? I'm doing the Shinrez defence in solo specifically to avoid the gankers.

Yup, next time you log into open after blocking (block, quit game and load back in) them they will be blocked from your instance. Sometimes in heavily infested ganker areas, I sit in the station, watch the chat, find out who the gankers are and go on a mass blocking spree. Because in a clean open area with CMDRS who play the game properly it’s helpful against thargoids, because in solo thargoids are really hard because the npc’s don’t do sht

@@GenX80sKid blocking doesn't work if there is a lot of people, fun fact. The person you blocked will be able to get into the same instance as you because there are other people who don't have them blocked. That's peer-to-peer for you.

That’s very true but I always point out in the chat who the gankers are or direct message the non ganker players who just want to fight thargoids as a team with the name of the ganker(s) and tell them to immediately block them and why, but regardless of that, it’s still not completely foolproof and doesn’t catch all the cockroaches🪳

I've never tried it myself but I'm willing to bet there a youtube video out there somewhere detailing how to do it, there's got to be.. It's a system from the golden age of Xbox so Lots of folks want to hang on to them and show others how to fix em up. But the latest xbox is backwards compatible so if you just want your saves and to play 360 games you should be able to, as for re furbishing , I don't have a clue what I'm doing, I'd probably electrocute myself or fry the unit.

@GenX80sKid Excellent idea. I will check into it. Yes. I have a bunch of saved games on the external hard drive. My daughter and I also did a lot of painting of cars on Forza 4. Some of them I spent way too much time on. I would hate for all the work to just disappear.

ya it's hard to retain a persons interest for that long but I still put them up... I try to shorten them but sometimes it's not possible.. growing on youtube is REALLY HARD. I mostly just do it to have a place to store my videos and free up my hard drive, lol

Two garbage games that push political ideologies instead of just being a game for people to play, and these two games are failing really badly, and that's a good thing, because there is NO PLACE for politics in video games, At the end of the video the guy laughing and saying sucker is from the song Liar by Rollins Band. In fact concord failed so badly that today sony just scrapped the game and shut down the servers 2 weeks after releasing it lol.

Intel is having some serious problems right now with their chips failing, I think it's the 1300k and 1400k series that are defective, so stay away from those . My next build is definitely going to be AMD CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU, but it will take a few years to save for the build I have in mind, hopefully prices go down by then, Canada is stupid expensive too, I hate it, inflation has really messed up everything. I just call it Forza 8 so that the TH-cam title shows more info about the video when it's on your screen , instead of all you seeing is Forza Motorsport and then having to hover over the video to see more info about what the video actually is, "Forza Motorsport" takes up too many characters, regardless of all that, they really blew it with this game, total stinker !

There's 4 races in this series, this race being the final one and the only way to make it harder is to start last in the pole position which is in 24th place and work your way to 1st place which I did, super easy especially if you use a wheel and pedals which I use, this is why I don't play Forza very often other than a few special events like this one, it's not a true sim racing game, it's arcade racing and it's easy, now DiRT Rally 2.0 on the other hand is REALLY hard and a proper sim racing game.

this track was too slow...one small mistake and the car gets critically damaged from the logs.

I definitely have to change my POV, no handbrake, I just tap the brakes and use the transmission a lot, basically I drive a rally car like a track car, lol which I know is wrong, but maybe one day I will try to add a handbrake lever to the rig and a gear shifting knob because I do not like paddle shifting and I do need handbrake to get faster in rally, there's no denying that ... but for now I just use paddle shifts and the foot brake, I mapped the handbrake to one of the buttons on the wheel but I never use it, I also tried mapping the hand brake to the clutch pedal but again my brain doesn't think to use it because I'm used to using the clutch like a clutch to shift gears in my actual real car so it just doesn't come naturally, especially when I've been driving a manual car for 27 years.. probably why I hate the paddles too.

for some reason when i put the navigation on it distracts me and I lose my concentration, one day though I will have to learn. But right now I do like the rush I get from the fast reaction to things that i don't know are coming...it really tests my reflexes and reaction time if I don't know the track very well.

maybe some day but this game Elite Dangerous I have 8 years invested over three platforms, I started playing it on playstation 4 in 2017 and then xbox and then I ported all my credits and ships over to PC in 2023. I might be able to find time to get into another one but I am still trying to make time to get more into sim racing and get better at it. . .
